This Idea that Americans don’t often have a crass or deprecating sense of humor just isn’t true. We give each other shit, especially people we know really well or have built that relationship with. It isn’t abnormal for us to call our best friends bitch, slut, cunt, asshole as a term of endearment or to just poke.
Culture is never an excuse to abuse or harass strangers (sexual street harassment) and excusing it as such is bologna.
It was my culture growing up to think chewing tobacco was cool but I have my own brain and it wasn’t hard to conclude spitting black slime everywhere is fucking gross.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I took OP’s original post to be calling it MyUglyCam as a dig at the models at first, Until i realized he meant the site appearance.

ANYWAY this thread was from February! Just heads up on the necromancy

This, so much. I have so many friends who greet each other with "hey, bitch!" but would NEVER talk to a stranger like that.

The internet isn’t only French but maybe you should appreciate someone making the effort of speaking a second langage in order to be able to communicate with you? How many langages do you speak champ?
I didn't mean to despise anyone who tries to learn/communicate in a foreign language, maybe I wasn't clear enough. There are many different cultures so there are different ways to communicate which might be understood only by native speakers of certain language therefore I think is rude to assume that we all understand it despite we use English.
As u are interested, I speak two languages fluently, delf a2 in French and I'm learning Japanese too but haven't got a certification yet.

People often behave badly when they travel. Germans have a saying about their own countrymen's behaviour in foreign countries, too. Football fans are notorious in Europe. There's also the fact that many locals resent their towns and cities and beaches being invaded by tourists, even as it helps boost their economies, so any bad manners reinforce that attitude, while good manners don't make an impression.

Don't care where you're from, still think it's rude.

It’s not always a culture thing. I think subjects to joke about are cultural, but sometimes it’s only translation that makes things sound rude. I’m sure most English people trying to speak politely in French would sound rude cause they wouldn’t know how to. Such as using “tu” instead of “vous” (meaning “you”, but the word changes depending who you are speaking with) so we have very polite manners. They just don’t translate and lack of vocabulary and understanding where each word stands in term of rudeness is the issue. English speaking people are lucky they don’t have to learn any other langage because everyone learns their langage.

There are also many different cultures within the English langage in itself and I think Americans and Canadians are more prone to be offended than Australians a UK people. So I think people need to chill on some topics and stop putting everyone in the same basket. Australians use the word cunt as if they were talking about chips: it’s nothing. Can you be like that in the states? No. And yet they are the same langage. You would most likely sound rude with your level of Japanese and French as well. I don’t know if you experienced Japan the way I have but it’s really easy for your actions and body langage to be taken rudely even if for you it’s normal. I lived in India as well, where burping at the table is totally normal and it’s a compliment for the chef. So would you expect people in the countries to speak your native langage fearing of being rude? As much as we are “careful” sometimes it only depends how the person on the other side on the screen is reading what you’re saying.

You've just said that. If I'm learning Japanese I'll be doing my best to learn ALL about it, not only spoken and written language since communication is not only words but the use of them, also gestures and expressions. I wouldn't like to be rude so I'd try to learn instead of marking the same mistake over and over again just because certain behaviour is accepted in my country.

You would still manage to be. I speak 3 fluent languages, I’m from Canada and despite living in Australia 7 years I still manage to say rude things. I said to my ex mother in law who was on a diet that she looked like she lost some weight and I didn’t hear the end of it from my ex. It’s not As easy as you make it sound to leave all your programming accumulated over 2 decades behind and just take on a new culture from every single angle. Same in India. People don’t always tell you you’re rude. They just let it go, and yet they burp in your face when they have dinner with you. The easiest place to live I guess for me was Mexico. As long as you respect la familia, you’re good.

Like Janis Joplin said... "Yeah, I'm gonna try yeah, just a little bit harder"
All is possible if you commit to it and accept native speakers advices.

So new guy in my room said he was French. So I asked him how common is cat calling. He said it’s common and if I passed by him he’d probably say something like “beautiful eyes” while staring at my butt. I asked what would he do if I looked like that comment annoys or angers me and he said he’d invite me out???!!!
Just cat calling is gross. But if you think it’s appropriate to invite a woman out after she showing you she’s not appropriating your comments I’d call it harassment not culture.

Yes , as i explained too thats tipic french , italian , and roumanian . And they really do not get it that invinting us to the dinner after they offend us more not like a woamn but as a human being too.

mmm ... Not all, don't make generalities from observation. You see only whose who speak a lot a lot.

Sorry to tell but you french people and italian in general speak very very very very very very very muchhhhhhhhh :))))) and loud too hahahha . And do not take it as a offence :) its only a fact:) Maybe you do not but the majority does.

For example when i was a bartender and waiter french and italian people would call me at their tables 20 times more than a regular client , and not because they want to order its because they want to make fucking questions !!!!!!

And since i am a cam model and italian or a french would wrtite in my room 20 times more and beg and offend more than another other client .

And thats apply in 99% cases.

If you are and exception than really congrats dear because rarelly you see a french that stay quiet and watch and observe without flooding my room and pms even if i tell I DO NOT SPEAK FRENCH they just do not hear haha they write and write and write

hihi) when I mod my pref, I deal more with weirdos Americans, but... that may mean that I need to know why you attract more Frenches xD

Well honestly i do not know why i atract them hahah , maybe is written on my face that i do not like too much speaching and they see it as a provocation :)))))) Or maybe they see me as a cheap one so they insist haha , because from all that french costumer base honestly rarelly is one that tip .

Americans are usually not weirdos at all , they are straight to the point : come in room , maybe say hi , then they ask if i do that or that , if i say yes and how much they take it or leave it , and almoast always they say thank you at the end no matter what . Or they come in the room stay there and not talk and when they feel comfy they tip. Buttttttt they at least do not waste my time. Isntead french and italian costumers want attention he want bla bla bla bla bla and when you tell him to tip he or tip and ask the moon and the stars for 1 token , or offend you because you ask for tips . So i definatelly can not find weirdos the costumers that respect my time as Americans does. Remember we are there to make money , that the only reason . So a costumer that do not consume owr time is gold!

And here we come at your initial topic why we like MyFreeCams even if many find it a heavy website? Well because being heavy make cheap people go away and even if there at the moment i am at the end of the boat as earnings , MyFreeCams still does not drain me of energy , have less freeloaders , even if i only have around 30 people in my room , those people give me tokens as my other room full of french and italians where i have more than 100 people per streaming. We also like MyFreeCams because it requires a certain level of inteligence and english knowing base to be there and understand it . Also we like it because everytime we go online we do not loose hours tio make new settings because theyupdate and update and update , so less offline time consuming is more time online for us and more potential to make money. Many of us do not have time or posibility to stay a lot online so thats why it is importnant to not loose time with stupid updates. Also we like MyFreeCams because they have a huge and fair promotion of their models , they pay in time , and they do not accept bullshit.

Totally believe that’s generalising too. I know so many French guys and they are nothing like that. The camsite customer is probably not a reference either.

No i do not refer only at cam sites , i was a bartender and waiter for 8 years , and it was the same thing. french and italian people would call me at their tables 20 times more than a regular client , and not because they want to order its because they want to make fucking questions !!!!!! And when i steped out from the table to attend other clients they offended me in french, thinking that i do not understand, that i am rude and a bitch for the simple reason i do not stay with them and bla bla bla bla . 9 of 10 costumes was like this , so i think thats give me the right to give a general feedback. They even letted me bad coments on the restaurant clients feedback book that i am not friendly because i told them i can not stay at their table to attend a long conversation. One family wrote in the book : She is so unfrendly because if we do not have anything to order she never stay to give us attention . After she brought us her food she runned to the other clients like we we not there.

What attention the bitch wanted ?? And why i runned away? Because she started asking me about my family , marital status , and how much i get paid for my job !!!! And after i said her my life stays private she told her husband in french that i am probably an escort after i finish working at nights .
When she asked me how much i earn as a waiter i told her to ask my boss , and she poped the eyes big at me and told me that i am rude , this time in english , and turned to her husband and said that i probably fuck with my boss.
Then she called me again at the table and asked me if i can take care of her 2 uneducated kids while she eats her damm salad and bring a bowl of water for their dog ( after i clearly said her she can not bring the dog in the restaurant and she ignored me totally) And when i said No because i need to attend the other clients she then said me nicta ras ( in french means fuck your roots) and smiled me and said yeah i said thank you but i want to speak with your boss.

And this is only 1 of the sooooooooooooooooooooo many french that mistreated me , humiliated me only because they simply do not get it time is money and they are not the belly of the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And why for????? Only because i do not stay there and speak and speak and speak and tell them even how many times i poo in a fucking day!!!!!

And to not be bad understood the restaurant boss was french , and in my first day when i came to work he told me PAY ATTENTION GIRL THE WORST COSTUMERS THAT YOU CAN GET HERE ARE FRENCH OR ITALIANS and dammm he was totally right.

Another thing that i do not get it about you guys

WHY YOU ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS TRY TO GET THINGS FOR FREE OR NEGOTIATE THE PRICES ???ß Just why??????? Thats so fucking rude and offesnsive .

If you can not pay the price just go to another place stop offending people and asking for discounts or free drinks , or whatever. And when you come in a cam girl room the same , just whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy???? If you can not afford then change the place , or the room or whatever but negociating ????? noo and noo and noo hell noo. Negotiating is always rude for YOU and for us . Why you are doing it ????

People often behave badly when they travel.

100% this. It's like somehow travelling to another country brings out the worse from some people. Personally, when I'm abroad and hear/see something from my fellow countrymen that makes me feel embarrased for them, I totally try to hide myself among the locals and if I'm asked questions I pretend not to understand. Also, I've never catcalled a woman in my life. It's rude in any culture - for real, unless you live in a cave who the hell even say something like "look at those watermelons!!! - and I have to say none of my friends ever did something like that. But I guess I for sure don't live in a cave and I don't mingle with trash.

And also coming on a models forum where the forum owner itself is a MyFreeCams representative model and an example for all of us , and complining about , and making bad jokes is a dammmmmmmmmm RUDE thing. You personally offended her and all models that we are here!:android::android::android::android::android::android::android:

If you have complains like this to be made , sent them to the MyFreeCams itself!!!

Hello, and sorry for my english (I'm french)
ok, the title and the rest of the content is more a rude troll than a constructive critic, but btw :/
"excuse my french" means in some part of America "take care, I'll be rude or gross in the rest of this sentence" (and they do so)

do you know a lot of Americans who apologies for their french (or spanish, Italian, russian, whatever...) ? or more generally any non-english speaking ?

... she then said me nicta ras ( in french means fuck your roots) ....
the rest of the way to behave of that sh...y girl reveals a bitchy jealous bimbo with nothing between her 2 ears. I can't believe that they don't have their lot in other countries. I'm a bit jealous if it is so ;-(

'nique ta race' is typically an expression used by very low educated people, this kind of person you find in very touristic spots (acting if they were the center of the world just because they could afford 1 week of hollidays) or facing their TV set watching reallity shows (acting if they were the center of the world... as well... 'cause they have a nice TV set, twitting 'nique ta race' meanwhile) and, sometimes, when reality show ends, in the street with their 'heavy cat calling' (acting... but just because) :)
Touristic spots and Sex site may have some connections as said upper.

I bet your french boss was correct there.

Well my frech boss told me only with a smile , you know that french and italians are the worst costumers , just do not mind them girl . And he left :))) But i was honestly feeling like shit.

What pissed me off most was that when she saw my staring face at her " nique ta race" she took care fast to translate it to me in english like she said me thank you , so she double treated me like an idiot. And to not be enoug her husband and their 5 and 7 years old kids were cracking their buts laughing .

I honestly never was so humiliated by any other tourists. I got in 8 years almoast every kind of tourists from all the parts of the world. But never ever any of them was so rude as french and italians. And they find it sooo funny when they offend you thinking that you do not understand it.

No i never met any others apologizing so much for their english as the french and italians do :) Actually even if they knew their english is not good they try hard to not look stupid and make me understand what they mean , and i always did my best and act in that way to not make feel them embarased in any way. Thats what i do today too as a cam girl.

But being rude in a language and pretending thats an excuse because your own language is a rude one thats unacceptable indeed.

My husband is half Japanese, and sometimes his culture of social interacting can be rude to me. The dry pan apologies can drive you mad if you never interacted with it. I thought he was just insensitive and rude, but I heard his other Japanese relatives do the same. He understands I don't think HE is rude, but its his actions make me feel dismissed or like he doesn't care he is sorry because there isn't any passionate. As an Italian woman, I'm naturally passionate and animated when I talk. I show a lot of expression. He recognizes that it can be hurtful sometimes, and tries his best to accommodate, and I do the same because communication is a two way street.

I also know that my loud, in your face, passionate when I'm any bit bothered can make him incredibly uncomfortable, and I do my best to reign it in.

Usually when someone points out your being rude, it's best to apologize and try to explain yourself in a way that is less. Not stick to your culture guns because sometimes our culture can make us dicks.

I also understand typing in a second language is hard, and sometimes tone/intention can be lost with translation.
