Hi! this is my second topic here - am new...:)
I would like to sign up for mfc and become verified model to access all the other info but am not ready to cam yet and will no be for another few months....possibly till December.` That is due to the fact that am currently living with someone who is so awful and critical of me (and everyone else ) and calls me names and it makes me cry- there is no way I could be the positive smiley person online all the time and so I don't want to start until I move out so I can focus and that will be possible in November/December. I can't have this toxic energy around me - so far been doing youtube vlogs and that was ok - I can edit anything sad out but streaming is different...
Also this person is almost always home so there is no escape.
I dream of my own place my own decorated area for camming and saving for it now- maybe it will be my christmas present to me and new start!
Discovered this new world of camming about a month ago and am reading all I can and wish I could be part of it now. First came across stripperforum and was reading there and now found this through Kickaz blog.
But am getting off topic...so my question is if I sign up for MFC how much time/window would I have to start camming withouth losing the new model status. Can I sign up now and broadcast in December for the first time?
Posted one question before and someone cool gave me info I can wait a month but my question is can I wait more than a month- how long would I have?
Thank you for info.

New model tag is based on streaming hours I believe. There have been a few discussions about this in the past, when you're starting out that search function is your bff, as is the mfc wiki.

Gooood luck!

Firstly, I don't know how much time you have from MFC signup to getting started.

Have you cammed before? It doesn't seem so, youtube video making is not like steaming live. Have you read the advice for new models thread? It recommends using another site before MFC.
It's also important to understand as your in some major change, don't put all your financial apples in one basket. Camming be hard at first and for many reasons might not work for you or might be slow at first, even Kickaz started slowly. At the very least consider clips4sale, even if you don't want to show your face at this stage, you can start with making videos for foot fetish or similar. All that aside I think it's more important you resolve your living arrangements before partly diving into camming. Being a success at camming can often require a lot of time and effort upfront.

First, welcome to ACF. :) Good luck with your move, sounds like you've got yourself taken care of with a plan to get out of that situation.

New model tag: It used to be that your first 10 broadcast hours gave you the new model tag, but it has changed. Now, members can change the display settings on their homepage to be up to 90 days to show a model as new! But the default is now 7 days (calendar days, from your first broadcast).

You can get your profile approved and created, start advertising for yourself on Twitter and other social networks, then be all set and ready to make the most of your first 7 days when you're able to broadcast.

Edit: woops, seems @Esther_Fae already filled you in on this in the other thread you started. I was going to also advise to have a video ready to sell on MFC for when you start broadcasting.
If you get your MFC profile approved and viewable, you can apply for verified model status here for access to the Models Only section, too.

No, no, no. Not hours on MFC anymore. It's based on days since your first cam session, default is 7 days but member adjustable.

Edit:Amber said it better in above post!

whoa. That sucks. When did it change from hours to days...like what was the motivation or was it just a random mfc decision? I should probably you know ... use the handy dandy search feature >.> But you know.

it has been that way for a long time, and I think it was just to give the members more control over how the site works.

I can't speak for other members, but for myself I do have my settings altered from default at login. Having the 'new models' setting at 7 days only gives a small number of usually quite confused models. I suspect for most members 30 to 90 days would be a more common setting. I suspect most new models would get pretty good benefit from their new status for at least 30 days.

I set it for "never" cause I just wasn't interested in seeking out new models purely because they were new. Turns out the same percentage of them are boring and the same are interesting as all the other ladies who aren't new. So it just meant nothing to me.

Thank you so much everyone! Thank you AmberCutie for welcoming me- your forum is awesome! I have no one to talk to about all this and - no family to speak of that is another story and I doubt my very few friends would understand (but they will have to at some point or leave my life - am sure I will be outed since I have a popular youtube channel and no way I can stay anonymous on the internet too long). And no- popular youtube channel does not mean money even if there are interviews with me online and people write about me on forums and was recognized once on the street. Unless someone has about million subs the earnings are nothing to be excited about. I can't even pay rent.I find it unfair and would love to try being in front of camera on myfreecams and see what happens there...

You can get your profile approved and created, start advertising for yourself on Twitter and other social networks,

what other social networks? the reason am asking is I have a lot of them - I have a facebook page with thousands of likes and I have huge twitter and I have youtube channel...but this whole adult world would be new to me and not sure how old all my followers are -majority are older but might have some kids there...still not sure if to go with my established name or pick new one or which social networks allow advertising adult art?thank you for any info...

Thank for the link to thread. No I never did any camming-am nervous. But cannot use any other site because only myfreecams is a fit for me. I like the audience of myfreecams. They visit to talk and interact and have fun. The other sites are visited mainly for only one reason and it is completely different energy there. Myfreecams remind me of youtube community and seriously am getting similar comments under my videos despite the fact I chat about random general subjects nothing sexual,am never naked of course- sometimes I wear a bikini and most of the time just cleavage or a hoodie- it does not matter I still get comments like "how much for a blow job" or " i wanna fuck your tits" and I know how to handle them. I also get lots of "you are beautiful" comments to be fair and adore them...okay so basically what I mean is - I thought about it and I think my two years on youtube will be enough of a preparation for myfreecams and is the only site that I understand- is similar to youtube. In fact I think some of my fans might even be on myfreecams - but am not sure. And not sure whethere to tell them I will be there or wait for them to find out...And if by any chance am wrong and find out I should have taken your advice am sure will regret but...seriously am not even sure I want to go naked at hello- just will make and sell nude video for now and I feel that myfreecams is the only site that would be okay with that.

ok and now i forgot...I still don't know how much time I have - so if I want to start camming in December should I get signed up around November or can I do it sooner? anyone knows?and thank you again!

No no no never link your real life accounts with your camming accounts. Create entirely new camming-related email address(es) and new accounts on any social sites. Twitter and tumblr are popular for cam girls.

Don't ever link to Facebook! I think they'll ban you for adult work.
Use Twitter, Snapchat etc. for it. ( ask other models which are best, but I know many, many models use Twitter).

Thank you! I mostly wonder what my freedom is regarding posting about nudity etc on various social sites as in not wanting to get in trouble with the sites themselves (or with myfreecams if they don't want me to advertise another site). This area is grey for me. I noticed twitter is okay but not sure about others...

Thank you I will be careful. I noticed however (now that am doing research on all this) that some porn stars like jenna jameson or tera patrick who have facebook pages link to their sites on these pages -sites which are obviously full of nudity on them. So i don't know how it works...

I wanted to write a lot more and share some experiences but will leave all that for the model only area when I get validated. For now just wanted to cover some basic ground - while I figure out things and the name I want to use so thank you very much for any tips that are ok for this area.
