I had originally REALLY wanted to go this year bc we live IN vegas but life-stuff happens sometimes and I did not prepare AT ALL so we are not going to this one. I had been wanting to see if anyone coming out to LV wanted to grab coffee/tea or something outside of AVN while they are here. Like a little gathering for those of us who wanted a crowd-free chill meet & greet amongst ourselves type of thing. (I'm guessing a few folk are as socially awkward as myself & might have been down for a pre- or post- convention meet up) Ah, well Misha fail. Definitely going to plan better for 2018 AVN (both in scheduling and mental-preparedness). Hope you ladies have a TON of fun ^-^

i really dont hope this comes off as slander but if you are taking uber during your time at this convension then be aware of this man, he have made thredening remarks towards people in the cam community and companys.

Weekdays at AVN Expo are industry only, Friday and Saturday are for the public. You can make a lot of good contacts during industry only days, it turns into a nightmare on the public days, with little business to be done.

The expo is actually open to everyone including on weekdays ( http://fan.adultentertainmentexpo.com/schedule ), unless you are referring to other expo(s) (but they do have industry-only seminars).

Can anyone explain to me how WiFi works while broadcasting from the convention? (From my understanding, you have to have a WiFi hotspot/router thingy?) Where do/did you get yours from? How much does this generally cost? Is this easy to do?

There's a few ways to do it:
- you can use your phone as the hotspot (as long as your provider hasn't disabled it) . The main issue here is that you have to keep the phone plugged in the whole time, as the battery drains super fast thanks to running both the mobile and wifi radios. One solution could be to buy a 'powerpack' for your phone (which I recommend anyway) or having it plugged to your laptop the whole time.
- most cell providers have USB modems or stand-alone devices on offer exactly for that in both pre-paid and post-paid flavours; for example, Verizon calls their line 'jetpack' and seems to charge about 50 bucks for the hotspot with a 2 year contract.

Personally I bought a Netgear Aircard 785 on an electronics store without a provider contract, which cost me about 129CHF/USD and got a prepaid card from the cheapest provider I could find with a larger transfer limit (12GB, with Three UK, which seems to use the AT&T network in the US).

Hi my name is Lilith I came on MFC and chaturbate and I thought i was gonna have a suite at wydahm for AVN this year but it didn't work out as planned. I wont name names as to not miss anyone out, but loads of really nice models

I've never looked at an event like this and thought I would have liked to have gone until this one.

One thing I think is a shame though, is there no special hash tag being used? would be cool to be able to browse twitter and instagram and look at photos

I can search "AVN" but it brings up a load of junk along with the odd photos I actually want to see

AVN Adult Entertainment Expo January 18 - 21, 2017

Hmmmmmmm. Coincidence all the major gun makers and fans scheduled their biggest expo of the year to coincide with AVN? Smart planning I think.

More like AVN moved the show to coincide with SHOT. But in any case, it's better than AEE competing with CES for space and attendees.

Looks like it they did indeed - last year it was only Thursday to Saturday and this year they expanded to include Wednesday as well. There were a few areas reserved for industry folks only though, like the area near the stage.

So now that the expo/awards have concluded, how was everyone's experience, models and members alike?

It was a cool event as usual and considerably busier than the previous two years - it felt like there were a lot more models present (although I didn't recognise many or couldn't remember their names). The expo also felt a bit more packed, but other than that there weren't many big changes that I noticed (besides the heavier security for obvious reasons) - mostly that they didn't seem to have the usual strippers/strip club booths and that VR companies were more numerous/had bigger booths this year.

So, I ended up going both Thursday and Friday. Friday was MUCH wilder than Thursday. So damn crowded. I saw lots of my model friends and actually went to dinner with one of them Friday night, which was really cool. The thing that really surprised me was how many models are huge fans of other models. They were going nuts to get a picture together.

I skipped that over the last two expos as the concept of VR isnt that interesting to me for multiple reasons, such as what I saw on the monitors as the 2D version of what was being shown in the headsets wasn't that good looking IMO - they looked like most of the (badly made) porn games/3d porn you see advertised on porn sites. Maybe once it gets closer to what AAA games are doing in terms of quality of human representation, then I will re-evaluate. Plus, there's the whole issue of sharing a VR headset with hundreds of people, which is not very appealing to me.

It was so fun watching many of the girls snapchat stories from all the MFC hosted events. It definitely seemed like a busier expo compared to previous years, but mind you I've only watched videos and seen pics of any of them so this is all from an outsiders view.

It was incredible to see all the stops MFC pulled out to make their models feel appreciated and spoiled! MFC being the main sponsor of the entire thing was incredibly impressive.

There have been some butthurt comments by members about the fact that MFC seemed to gear all of their events and swag toward models, which I think is whacky. The entire event is put on BY the adult industry (cam models, cam sites, porn stars, studios) FOR fans and members. The performers who show up and do photo ops and meet and greets are there FOR fans and members. It's (yes social and exciting fun) work. If their cam site/studio/etc wants to throw them parties while they're there to thank them for their work, don't take it personally. sheesh

Also I'm stoked that Kati3 won the cam girl award! So glad she's part of MFC now.

Hot damn, I was actually there this year - spent the last 3 days in the Chaturbate booth and had a blast - but I didn't think to hop on here and say anything until I was already back home again. Drat.

Next year I'll remember to warn everyone before I get there, I guess.
