I've been kind of obsessed with Sia lately. Her solo stuff that's crossed over in the last few years is amazing, and her collaborations with acts like Zero 7 are timeless.

Plus, this video for Cheap Thrills makes me smile a lot.


I think of all the aughts alt-rock bands out there, Queens of the Stone Age are the sexiest.



But maybe I like Silversun Pickups a little more. That crescendo in Lazy Eye gets me every time.



And maybe I like Arcade Fire even a little more than that.



I always put Portugal. The Man together in my mind with Blitzen Trapper. I'm not sure why.



Also, The New Pornographers have been at it a long time, and they are still killing it. Of course, they're like indie rock's supergroup, so I suppose nothing less should be expected. They just released their seventh album a couple weeks back. If you don't know Twin Cinema, you should find out.



Gorillaz is also on heavy rotation in my world right now. I know Humanz just dropped, but I'm still stuck on Demon Days and Plastic Beach.



Fuck, I love Gorillaz. Best band to not exist.

Okay, that's a lot. Sorry. I guess I'd rather listen to my favorite music tonight, instead of working.
