At 23th Netflix is going to add on their catalog the series She's Gotta Have It, a comedy by Spike Lee, based on his 1986 film of the same name.

They released the trailer and the hype in me could not be bigger.

The series is about the artist Nola Darling, who lives a romantic life with Jamie, Greer, and Mars, at the same time.

I, as a non-monogamous person, feminist and supporter of the black movement am realy happy and mega anxious about this series and i hope it helps introducing NM, women AND black people in media a little more and give these groups visibility.

The trailer seems to be great too, here it is:

What about you? What are your feelings about it?

I love how this looks! Anything that promotes diversity is amazing so I'm glad the leading lady is a WOC! Kudos to them, it seems well written and well produced, the cast looks awesome. Thanks for posting!

The original film was pretty funny in some parts. Nola was beautiful. Spike's character 'Mars' was hilarious. I am not sure how this new series will play out. Hopefully, it does well

I went back and forth with this one. As someone who is non-monogamous I was excited to see the casual representation of the lifestyle, but some of the plot/humor fell flat for me and I wasn't a huge fan of Nolas character. I loved Mars. Sometimes I really enjoyed it, other times I felt a little let down. All in all it wasn't really what I was hoping for but I still liked it.
