Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site. I'm wondering if anyone can help me right out. I know a lady on mygirlfund.com and we have been sending messages to each other for a few months now. Yesterday, she had a contest on her mygirlfund page. I decided to enter it and sent something to her email addresss. I logged into mygirlfund, went to her page and send her a message which said " check your email." Earlier this morning, Mygirlfund terminated her account and now she mad at me. I contacted mygirlfund and told them that it was my fault that her account was terminated and said that I'm willing to cancel my account in order to get her account back. Any advice on what I should do now?

Thank you everybody!

It's really just up to their discretion. I received a warning from them for using the word "e-mail" in a message (I wasn't giving out my e-mail or attempting off site contact). I disputed it with them and they corrected it after determining that I wasn't breaking the rules. They'll probably look though your messages and chat logs with her and figure out if you used MGF to facilitate off site contact, and make a judgment from there. Did you know her from another cam site previously, or did you start the off site contact after talking to her on MGF? If it's the latter then she is probably screwed, they are strict about that.

Nevermind. i just read Madison's post and filled in the blanks :) The site sounds poopy if they're gonna shit the bed over emails baing alluded to.

I do think their rules are a little excessive and I'm not defending them, but it's what everyone agrees to when they sign up for the site and it's pretty widely known. The models, particularly, should know better than to try to give out contact info.

Girls, if you want to continue to have an account on the site, if someone sends you a message discussing e-mails, other cam sites, or any other off site contact, you need to report the message or it's gonna be your ass on the line, pretty much. It's not a free for all like MFC.

MGF really sounds fucked up to me.. I can't count the number of times I've seen guys mention 'email', Yahoo, Skype etc. in cam site chats.... also something about phone numbers and cell phones in pvts. If they are that strict, it seems a bit suicidal to even work for the site. You cant really have any control over what a perv will say.

I've had a few guys put their e-mails or phone numbers in a message and I just reported it and it was fine. If a model lets it go unreported or offers up her own contact info, that's a situation where her account can be compromised.

There's someone on there who's already had one account removed for mentioning another cam site but was allowed back about a month later. Then she got close to a guy and managed to give him enough info for him to find her on facebook, and they're now living together, yet she still has her account on MGF. So I wonder if they are still as strict as they used to be. Seems weird they'd let her back so soon after breaking the rules once, then let her get away with giving info to have off site contact.

I come across this all the time where the business is trying to retain customers by attempting to hide the fact that there is competition for the services they perform. You don't win by trying to prevent your customers from learning about competition, you win by being better than the competition.

This is the same problem the MPAA/RIAA is fighting. They will ultimately lose their battle because they're attempting to preserve an outdated model and making it more difficult for people to get content. Instead, they should be embracing the new forms of distribution and win by being better than all the other available methods.

Silly me... And I'm "just a guy, not a camgirl" ....but it seems a bit ridiculous to have to report members doing stuff like that simply to cover your own ass...

I'm inclined to agree with BRed...

I agree with you completely. I've heard models say that MGF terminated them for this and that, and they sound like they're even more strict than ImLive.

I would hate to go through the trouble of creating a MGF profile and keeping it updated with info, only to be penalized just because SOMEONE ELSE harasses me about off-site contact. Penalize the model? WTF? What a terrible way to treat the girls who are making money for the site.

Yup.

I've gotten mails from them warning me, about outside contact, blah blah, was so confused why I was getting a warning since I never even whispered anything about outside contact. Yep, it's because some guy messaged me on there asking for my e-mail address and I didn't catch it and report it.

It's a total crapshoot about who gets warned, who gets to break the rules, etc. I got in trouble when I first signed up because I wanted to use "Vanessa" in my user name. No go. Nothing connecting me to my persona, website, twitter, anything. But then I see girls on there who break rules CONSTANTLY, use their porn-site names as their MGF screennames and rake in the dough. :naughty:

I really hate inconsistent rules (and by inconsistent, I mean "consistent proportional to popularity") and MGF is the biggest offender EVER in that department.

Hi Everyone!

I want to thank everybody for answering my question yesterday about Mygirlfund. Before I posted my question on this site, I sent an email to the support staff at Mygirlfund and they wrote me back later on in yesterday afternoon. This is what they said to me:

"While we admire your concern for her, we can assure you that your actions did not cause her account to be terminated. We would never, under any circumstances, terminated one members account based solely on the actions of another member."

After reading their response, I forward this message to the lady whose account was terminated by Mygirlfund. She wrote me back saying that they are lying and they forward her the email that I sent to her which caused the termination of the account. A few minutes later, I wrote mygirlfund back tell them that something is not adding up here. On one hand, they told me that my actions didn't caused her account to get terminated. On the other hand, sometime Tuesday evening, they sent her a copy of my email which led to the termination of her account. What I'm looking for is the real truth about what happened. At the time of this post, they have not wrote me back.

After giving some thought about what happened yesterday, I have some comments:

* It's perfectly all right to say some nasty things with the ladies on Mygirlfund during an online chat. It's fine to ask the ladies on the site to do some disgusting things on web cam. However, if I use the phrase " check your email, " in an email on the site, heaven forbid, it's the worst thing in the world to say on there.

* When I first signed up with Mygirlfund, I was unfamiliar with the rules and I did mention my Facebook link to one of the ladies on Mygirlfund ( she mentioned Facebook and Twitter on her page) and "Google" to the lady whose account was terminated ( that was in the very first email that I sent her last month.) After getting a flg, I read the rules and understand them very clearly, especially to protect the safety of the ladies. However, Mygirlfund does not have a comprehensive list of term that people cannot used when they are sending message to the ladies. I know that you can't use "Facebook," "Twitter," "Google," "Yahoo," etc. but how am I supposed to know that the term "email" can cause someone to lose their account. They need to explain their rules very clearly.

* She lost her account not by the type of videos that she does ( fully clothed, nude, fetish, extreme fetish) or the web cam show she does on the site. She lost it because I used the term " check your email." Now in that contest, I was referring to check your email in your MGF inbox. I didn't say check your (Yahoo, Gmail, Twitter) email or Skype message.

* When I received for the first message that I sent to her, they to me, I can't use the term Google. Every messsage that I sent her on the site, I didn't receive a flag or warning at all. How come I didn't get a 2nd flag or warning for the message that I sent her. Now if they sent me once, warning me that if I do it again, they would terminate my account, I'm fine with that. But they just ended her account, out of nowhere and that's not right!

* Last point, since she doesn't have an account on Mygirlfund anymore, can she get another account under a different name?

I want to thank everyone for reading this post. I had to get this off of my chest and vent my frustration about Mygirlfund.

It seems very weird that they would not reinstate her account after looking through her past communications to determine that she wasn't giving off site contact info. Has she asked them to do that? Did she have prior warnings from MGF staff for something unrelated? I haven't been on there in a few months but it seems crazy that things have changed so much with the rules.

But I think the fact is she did give out offsite information, otherwise he wouldn't have been emailing her outside the site.

I was under the impression that he met her on another site, they were already communicating, and then she subsequently gave him her MGF page and he began contacting her on there. Maybe he can clear that up for us.
