Have been using Streamate for a while now as a user. I requested a refund for two calls that lasted 30 seconds each due to a connection issue on my end. As soon as I got a reply from support about it being refunded my account was permanently closed. I have been offered no support besides the generic “we don’t want to do business with you, account is permanently closed.” They have also refunded all my previous legitimate purchases. I’d at least like to know why my account was closed.
 
From what I understand it's an automatic closure once you get a refund. They are serious about preventing chargebacks and fraud, so they will permanently block a customer account rather than risk losing their payment processor, especially since banking has gotten stricter about adult processing. Most larger porn sites will have that policy.

I’ve gotten multiple refunds in the past, I would have just like an explanation rather than you’re permanently banned get out of here. Especially since I’ve been a customer for almost 2 years.

You've probably gotten credits added back to your accounts in the past not a refund to your card. They might have asked you specifically about it. At the same time feeling the need to get refunds or credits back for two minutes of time sounds a little suspect. How can you be using SM for two years and be that frugal?

Well too be honest I was gonna just let it go but the fact I had a bad connection twice pretty much is what had me wanting a refund. Overall I’m a lot more understanding about the ban now. It was just the lack of transparency, I had no idea why I was banned at first.

I understand why streamate banned you. Streamate allows 30secs to connect to privates before getting charged, so I doubt you were charged at exactly 30secs. I have never been paid for a 30-sec show as a Streamate model in the almost decade I've been streaming.

It's hella suspicious requesting that little amount of time for refunds. It looks like you were trying to get a free 30-sec peep, and didn't want to pay. It gets abused, and Streamate promises us models that they diligently handle the offenders.

About refunding all your legitimate purchases- Thank fucking goodness us models are protected from chargebacks.

I really wasn’t trying to defraud anyone. I’m a huge fan of the site and definitely will be more careful if I ever decide to use any other cam site. I understand now that it does look pretty suspect. Yeah I’m also glad because the other models deserve to keep it. Rather unfortunate situation but I’ll take my punishment.

I have never used SM, so that is not where I am coming from. But, if the issue was at YOUR end as you state, why on earth would you request a refund? Surely if the issue was your end you just have to suck it up?

If I buy a lawnmower and it breaks due to me mistreating it, I would never dare to request a refund from the retailer. Likewise if a customer (I work in hardware retail) brought back a lawnmower that was obviously mistreated and asked for a refund, they would be told (politely) to fuck off.

Everyone here is probably correct. Streamate really doesn't like people who abuse that feature, or appear to be abusing that feature. Of course, nobody here has the answer so I'm not sure what exactly you hope to accomplish with this post. If streamate doesn't want to give you specific answers they don't have to, and we have no knowledge of your situation. Models get our bank accounts closed often with the only explanation being that it was a "business decision". If they don't want to give details they don't have to.

Guess I was more so looking to see if anyone had a similar situation or had ever heard of a similar one. Yeah I realize they don’t have to give me a reason.

not a lot of other sites offer chargeback protection. pretty sure streamate is the only one. so be more conscientious of requesting refunds in the future. you are gonna piss off lots of models when they see you requesting refunds for small amounts. and other sites probably will eventually ban you because it's suspicious. members who request refunds are considered high risk. if it's a connection issue on your end, recommend not requesting refunds. sites aren't responsible if your tech/internet isn't allowing the site to function properly.

Yeah, now I think about it I feel very shitty about the entire situation. Am defiantly gonna be more conscientious going forward.

The fact that you've mentioned getting multiple refunds in the past AND it just so happens you're NOW requesting two refunds for shows that ironically last 31 seconds (1 second AFTER models are paid) shows me you're a freeloader. If no one else is gonna bluntly say it, I will. Glad your account was closed and I hope it remains that way. Go to Chaturbate if you're that pressed for free previews. That's more your speed and budget.
