Just saying, but it seems that approximately 95% or mrore of guests in rooms are total parasites and freeloaders

so whats better, blocking the gray freeloaders and having a small room with little participation, or let them watch and have thousands of potential new paying customers?

Here's the part that gets me. If these people have no intention of spending any money on a model, why even bother to create an account in the first place? You can see it without creating an account.

But, I think it'd interesting to get more context from the OP.

Probably so they can follow models

possible. But then just bookmark the rooms. There's pros and cons to both. When I went to MFP, I joined and bought tokens pretty much right away. Nothing like diving in head first with an anchor tied around your neck ;)

You could, but at least on a site like CB it's much easier to tell if a model is online with an account. Not to mention some people follow hundreds if not thousands of models, so a visual interface to quickly show who is online and see what they are doing is ideal.

Yep, am aware of the notifications and following a model. Some people like a lot of variety, which can be good. But, too much also tends to briing it's own problems.

we all have out own way of doing things.

Parasites is a good word. I also like the phrase "bottom feeders". They are on SM too, but were mainly only an issue when I was new on there. They love to try to scam, exploit and troll the new models. I always imagine them as being the type that has a gf or wife, but treats that person like shit too. You know, just self-centered ass scum, basically :)

ETA; By bottom feeders I mean they freeload off of the money spent by others (or innocent goodwill and excitement of new models), or try to. Because they are so useless/ talentless/ unable to succeed. Like leeches.

Sadly, I have to agree with you.

On CB - if you don't have a logged in account, the ping from tips cannot be silenced from your side.

Once you have created your account and logged in, you have the ability to turn the sound off from the user's side, so the ping from tips is silenced. This might be another reason why people create an account - when I want to browse in anonymity, I use a grey account with the tip noise set to 0%. Personally i really dislike the tip noise.

Also, while rare, sometimes you can see a grey turn into a coloured user. They can be really great moments. Sadly it doesn't happen nearly enough.

I never saw the ability to turn off tip sounds when I was on CB. The noises drive me crazy. When on MFC, I use the chat command options and disable them when I tip

The same argument could be said about converting someone without an account to a paid user. I just remember some models having it setup where if you had no tokens you couldn't chat.

i personally ignore them, but that's just me.

There are a few reasons and it all depends on the sites.
Like take CB for instance, if you're viewing as a guest, the TIP sound is set to 80% and you can't change it, so you need to register, then you can turn it down to 0% volume.
Other sites will give you lots of ridiculous popup ads.
And as mentioned above, it's so you can follow and keep track of your models, as well as possibly chat (most not "chatting" though, most do just want to be rude or dirty talk free).

Sadly it doesn't happen nearly enough.

On CB and mfc, *every single* tipper started being grey.

In some room on CB, you can see grey users chatting and welcomed by the model. Watching better, some follow the model on other medias like onlyfans, manyvids or other contents platforms.

IMOP, If you think everyone is a freeloader, it's probable going to be harder to make sells.
Same opinion here. Some are freeloaders, some are customers to convert and some are only customers who just don't pay on *that* site precisely. You can't prejudge.

Disregarding them as a whole would be to miss opportunities to convert potential customers.
And I'm convinced that any user converted in *your* room will certainly be a faithful one. You're not a second choice for this one, and this has no price.

so, you need 'parasites' to have a crowd to pick them out :)

I believe that most of people like that are just poor... And this characteristics are extremely cultivated in a poor environments, because, yes — you are an self-centered asshole... but because of that you are getting things what others can't get, and you couldn't get if you weren't one... And then you also are further rewarded socially, because if you got something critical that others can't afford means that you are cool and successful... and you perceive your way to live as the only one true way to live(probably super easy for already self-centered people)... and raise others with an asshole mode from the birth.....

I disagree. I think that is very idealistic thinking of you, but my life experience has taught me that there are plenty of self centered assholes who are both rich and poor. In the 6 years I have been doing this I have gotten to know plenty of middle to upper middle class guys, who will nickle and dime sex workers, just because deep down they don't think it's a "real job". However, they are still hypocrites who indulge in any free, or low price porn that they can get their hands on.

There are also plenty of rich assholes who treat their wives and gfs like shit. Domestic abuse isn't a socioeconomic phenomenon. It does not exist in higher proportions amongst the working class, at least that is what I was taught in school.

It's a personality characteristic to be low on empathy, narcissistic whatever you wanna call it. Maybe to do with upbringing, yes, but not socioeconomic status.

I saw your prior post about it. So I was well aware of your opinions.
Yet, I still posted my post.

ETA; No one needs porn to survive. It's not food. If you don't have extra money to spend on entertainment, don't use those services. Because real people are putting their sweat into it. Nobody needs a cam show to survive.

In one of the rooms I frequent, there is a grey user who has been visiting almost every show now for two years. I can't understand why someone who has been such a long time "visitor" cant even buy the smallest token package to show their appreciation to the model.

It's grating me to think of how much they've gotten from the room and the model in all this time - yet they don't offer any real support back to the model.

I had best stop before I get more frustrated.

Saw a gray that turned blue after more than 3 years so there is still hope for yours :)
If he's annoying for you but the model tolerates him you can add his name to the "ignore" list and he'll simply cease to exist for you.

To add to this, I have personally seen a lot of big spenders who then expect "more" or they have tipped lots in another room or they are purple, go to other rooms and expect shit because "I am rich". It works both ways.
And I always agree with models who "like" greys. I mean, I was one of those anonymous users for a while until I saw exactly what the site "was" (I was very new to cam sites and they are a very big, new learning experience from both the model and viewer). After a week of just proving as a guest, I decided to signup for this one specific model because she was always very welcoming and spoke to greys and coloured alike (so long as you were nice, polite and not an ass-hat, she would be nice and chat back - whilst also doing other things like dancing etc). So this got me to signup, interact and then in the space of about 10 days, I had spent way too much on her (I won't say figured, but I used about 90% of my savings in my bank lol - not blaming her, that was my own stupidity getting carried away). And to this day I still visit her and other models. Obviously I learned a big hard lesson to be sensible and to spend what I can/have (stay in budget, but spend if/when you can). So she essentially created a "long term" spender (sure I started off as quite a "whale" but definitely not anymore).

I think most people seem to just focus on the negative side and negative comments made by anonymous and greys (some sites allow guests to post without an account).. but there are at least SOME positives to them.
I have seen guys go from grey to big spender, then back to grey for models, purely because they loved that model, had some "spare" cash that one time, and was able to finally spoil the model.

I think when you think and see ONLY the negatives in greys and anonymous, you have a worse and unhappier time because you're just constantly thinking "Look at all of these effin freeloaders".

Yeah, I am not talking about greys. I am not on CB. I am on SM , and I have had the same experience w guys who are in room not paying. Many are nice, and end up opening an account. I am too mentally lazy today to go into details about the type I am talking about (I have a bad headache), but I most certainly was not referring to new members of a site, who have not signed up yet. I am talking about "that type". But I don't wanna type anymore, and explain. There are a proportion of total parasites at every site. But yeah, I apologise if it came off that I was referring to every member who has not spent on a site yet. TBH I don't even know what a grey is, but I am assuming that is what a grey is.

I feel ya on the over spending. First time I went to a strip club, I spent all my money for groceries for the next 2 weeks. I ate PBJ for 2 weeks, as I smiled to myself remembering the night, while simultaneously cursing myself for going too far. I have gotten better at it with age, and experience.
