Anyone Make Webcam LED Lighting With Diffusers?

Does any vendor sell a webcam lighting kit that includes LED bulbs *and* a diffuser panel or bulb to help diffuse the light? I know there are kits built around CFL bulbs. I know that a lot of models are using the professional setups with tripods and umbrella lighting, but there must be someone making a more basic product?

Are there any guidelines for how powerful the bulb needs to be - and how large the umbrella or diffuser needs to be - for a given distance from the lighting or for a given amount of coverage area (e.g., lighting your body versus lighting an entire bed or side of a room)?

There are plenty of variable output LED panel lights with barn doors. Many pros simply clip the correct color cloth [bed sheet material generally] or gel filter to the top door. There are also round LED 'halos' of various sizes and costs that you can use with a webcam. If you want a kit, they can be had but are higher end and generally not entry level like the umbrella or soft box kits for $50- $100.

Ether way they're ushally using lighting the background, and then one light for the left and one light for the right. Or maybe they have a ring light.

LED tend to have cool light. Especilly when they're cheap. Most photographers use a warm light to improve the tone and color of the skin. They do make Photography LED panels. That let you set the tempiture and intensity of the light. From what i've seen. They're significanlty more expensive.

One of the significant advantages of newer LEDs is that software can control the color and create various effects and strobes and color changes. That's perfect for a webcam broadcast to add occasional interest.
