Like the title says, probably beating a dead horse here as I've read about this a lot but I can't seem to find an answer that satisfies my curiosity. My question is about Chaturbate and viewer counts.

So there is me, I've scammed for about 2 months now and use primarily 3 sites at once so thankfully my income isn't dependent on one site or the other. I do pretty well making a couple thousand a month(pretty well by my standards) but I see some weird trend on Chaturbate.

I first had an account on chaturbate that I would only get about 10 or so viewers when I first started. When I read about this issue many models would say it's my show could be boring, or I don't have the personality for camming, etc. I also read though that Chaturbate has a bug sometimes on certain profiles and that my account could of had some weird setting I didn't see. So I restarted an account a month later and my viewers definitely went up(this was without my followers from my old account even. ) I was now averaging 40-70 people a show compared to the 5-15 from a week before. Nothing had changed about my shows or looks. One of the main reasons I started a new account was because many people were telling me they'd join my room and my room would freeze up on them and kick them out(even after being in it for 5-10mins). Some people STILL report this happening even in my new room. I've sent multiple tickets to Chaturbate and they have of course not replied to me.

The thing that makes me question things about the site though is how these brand new models who have no followers, bad camera quality, do nothing special that other models don't do, and have 200+ people in their room. Somehow some of these models with the new tag even get pushed to the first page before they have even 50 people into their room?

I get the whole "looks don't matter, personality is needed for camming, etc etc" but something just seems off about that. That some people can work for months building up their follows and average less than 100 or even 50 viewers but another person starts and day one has over 200 people in their room without doing anything unique or special? I like to think I put on a good show. I am on the first page of one of my cam sites but on Chaturbate there seems to be an issue getting over the hump?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, had this experience, or have had any issues similar to mine while on Chaturbate?

Again! Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here.

Chaturbate isn't for some people. I could not get enough viewers for the life of me the month I worked there. When we say it's about personality, you have to find a spark about you that makes people wanna stick around. There are enough boobs and butts out their to jerk off to, but what makes your boobs and butt more special. For example some models create music, some tell jokes, some just have to show up and be pretty.

Sometimes if a site isn't working out compared to other ones, you might want to move away and focus more on the ones that you feel you can grow from it.

So what did you think your problem was for chaturbate? I don't have a problem making money on Chaturbate. I make decent money on there. I'm just wondering what the issue could be as far as viewers. I have no doubt if I stick with it and get more and more regulars it will eventually pick up. I just wonder how these day one models get so many viewers. I even tested it with a friend of mine who used her phone as a webcam(shitty quality) and had no sound. She also covered her face. Within 15 minutes of her being verified and on Chaturbate she had over 100 viewers in her room.

I couldn't tell you. but the time spent making the same money on another site was a lot less for me. Don't worry about viewers in other models rooms, worry about the current viewers you have now and how to convert them into regulars. Your friend also was a new model, and that brings out all the vultures.

All the predatory ass dudes loooooove a new girl. It kind of weirds me out how many of them will converge on a room with a "new" tag because they think they can get free shit. But honestly, it's really hard to get a big audience on there! All the time I'll see a brand new account with 4k viewers and tens of thousands of followers and I wonder how they managed that within a WEEK of signing up... When I made a new account, I could pull in maybe 200 viewers and by the end of the week I had around 800 followers. So maybe there's something else going on? I know there's an option to buy traffic. It's really kind of hard to pin down what specifically draws in viewers on CB but I ended up switching sites and I make around two to three times as much as I made on there.

Also, there's some weird thing about only registered viewers counting toward your view count and placement. So if you have a ton of viewers but 2/3 are bots or unregistered viewers, your placement will still be low. I really wish these sites were much more upfront about their algorithms and how everything is calculated, instead of keeping it all shrouded in mystery...

Oh, really, you been scamming...how long have you been in the scam game? :haha:

So I definitely see more people on CB. For models who broadcast simultaneously on CB and MFC, I often see 10 to 20 viewers on MFC when the same broadcast on CB gets 100+. That said, various observations on CB as follows.

How many of the additional CB users are real? I think a lot of the anonymous users may be bots, and they make up a substantial number of people in each room. Even after you subtract out the anonymous and grey users, CB seems to have a larger user base.

The real advantage of CB is that it color codes the users in a way that tells you who spends money and who never spends money. So silence grey users and really get to know those Dark Purple users and turn your charm on for them. To me, this is a huge big deal. They are prequalifying your customers and telling you who to sell to.

The other advantage of CB is the availability of CrazyTicket. Although few models use it very widely, I think you could incorporate that into a show to make sure that only tippers are rewarded and the vast majority of others do not get too many freebies. MFC doesn't appear to have anything equivalent.

Now about the question who gets people in their room? My observation is that two types of models attract large audiences:

1) People doing free porno shows always seem to get large viewer counts. But, the show is free. And the people you attract are not good long-term customers. It doesn't look like a good strategy. If it meets a lifestyle need to be an exhibitionist, okay, but it probably is not a great strategy to make the most money.

2) People who talk to the audience and interact verbally always get much larger audiences. Last night I hung out in a girl's room and she was fully clothed and playing Christmas songs on her guitar while chatting us up about every bizarre topic we could come up with. She was an A-class hostess and she probably had 200+ people in her MFC room. In the end, it is about entertainment, not just about sex.

I have done 4 shows on CB so far. First one got up to 600 viewers, and just as many followers. Earned 2400 tokens. The other three shows never broke the 40 viewer mark, and all three made a combined 100 tokens. Needless to say, it's pretty disappointing. I really can't figure out what the difference was. One viewer from my first show, the biggest tipper, visited me in my last show (earlier today) and said hi. I lit up, said hi and flirted with him, but this time not a single token.

it's hard not to quit right now, because I put a lot of time into planning it all out, making my set and lighting nice, dancing around, being fun, smiling, giggling, talking to visitors (even grays at this point) and nothing seems to be helping.

The traffic I do get is very complimentary, seem to love what I do... but it's just not going anywhere.

If you have a way to contact the big tipper, maybe ask him privately to critique you. Tell him you made 2400 tokens your first show but very little in the three following shows. Does he see what changed? Does he have advice?

There does seem to be a random element to it. I never had over 40 viewers(no public sex shows) but I did made over 2k in one night.
What seems to sell best on chaturbate is:
a) "taboo"
b) lush and ohmibod
c) group sex
Just by looking on what is usually in top row. Really it can be hit and miss.
I'll be doing some basic clips this week, bit worried about my lack of professional equipment - but you gotta start somewhere and they can be very basic.

It doesn't have to be the case of doing anything different.

For a beginner, your average cell phone released in the past 4 years has a decent HD camera in it, and paired with decent lighting (doesn't have to be professional, can be daylight, desk lamps, whatever you already have), you can create some decent-looking clips.

That's very interesting. What time were you on where you hit 600 and what time were you on when you hit 40? Were they the same?or different?

I main on cb and I'd really say a lot of it is luck of the draw or if the thumbnail caught you at a good moment. I've had a steady room of 300 double in no time if I showed my trump card for a minute to make sure that ended up as my thumbnail so abusing that couldn't hurt. I imagine it'd be hard for you to be social as well if you're camming a few sites at once yea? Maybe multi-cam your other sites together and do chaturbate separate to build up your regulars and be able to have more interaction with them.

Dunno about other sites, but on CB earnings for models that aren't top half of page 1 are probably lumpy on a day to day basis because they're so dependent on whales; some days you get one, others you don't (and sometimes the whale that tipped 1,000s one crazy night keeps coming back. but never tips again)

Emphasises the importance of social media e.g. a twitter account you can use to notify regulars you're about to go on, "follow" your whales etc.,
