For some reason I can no longer access MyFreeCams. Whenever I try to get into MyFreeCams, the page just takes forever to load and then shortly after, it gives me this error:

No data received
Unable to load the web page because the server sent no data.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

As of now, here is a list of things I've tried.

-Restarting my router

-Restarting my computer

-Disabling my antivirus

-Disabling my firewall

-Deleting all cookies and cache files

-Using a different browser

-Updating Adobe Flash Player

-Updating Java

-Updating Javascript

-Waiting a day (two actually)

Here's some extra info in the hopes that you'll be able to help. My operating system is windows 7 64-bit. I didn't used to always have this error. I cannot pinpoint the date when the error occured. I AM ABLE to access the profile page of models. For example, http://profiles.myfreecams.com/NicoleRiley Yet for some reason I am unable to access the actual site itself. Oh btw, go check that model out. She is beautiful.

Back to the point, I've found that when using this proxy: http://www.proxfree.com/ I can access the site. But I can't watch the models cause there is no flash. But yeah basically that's all the information I have. It works with a proxy and apparently not with my actual internet connection. Someone please help me. I've already tried googling the problem, to no avail.

Update: I tried again and it appears the error is not a constant one. I just got a new one, It seems to alternate between the 2.

This web page is not available
The connection to www.myfreecams.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems or other network devices that you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > + Show advanced settings > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.

Also, it might help to mention my browser is Google Chrome, latest stable build.

Some simple things to try before I say the bad news I already think it is.

Have you taken a laptop to a public wifi spot (cafe, McDonalds, etc.) to see if you can get in. Or have you tried from ANY other computer besides your house?

If you can get in everywhere else (except a library, they might have adult site filters installed) but NOT at your house then the simple answer is MFC has your IP address blocked. You won't ever be able to get in from home unless you take other measures. The reason the proxy works is because IT is the IP address doing the page request and then it just forwards that on to you.

Try contacting mfc support to see if there's a problem.

My computer is actually a desktop and ummm it would be REALLY awkward and hard to use my Mum's computer for stuff like this. Is there like a mobile app or something that I can use to check if it's just my computer. Also why would MFC block my IP address? I don't think I've ever done anything ban-applicable. Hell, I haven't even been to the site for like 2 months due to exams. Add the fact that I've never even talked in any models room and thus couldn't have said anything offensive and it becomes rather strange that MFC would block me. Besides, if they did block me wouldn't I be not able to get into the profile pages as well? It just doesn't make any sense...

Oh and my Desktop is like fucking huge and weighs about like 15kg so I don't think it would be safe to carry it anywhere due to the risk of dropping it. That and also I have alot of wires. Any other plans? :/

It depends on how they implement the block.

You could try InPrivate/Incognito/private browsing mode with a web browser using your mother's computer if you're worried about history. Otherwise you're still in trouble.

If you have a mobile device, you may or may not be able to see cams depending on what you have BUT the MFC page should at least load. You can try opening it while the device is connected to your home wifi then try it again connected to some other network.

The other option is to try and get a different IP from your ISP by releasing and renewing from your router. Depending on the IP lease settings your ISP uses though this may not be very easy to do. Overall I do agree with jodeum's assessment of what it sounds like.

Well I'll see if I can try it later once she's asleep. Also there has got to be another solution aside from replacing the router as I've done that about 3 times in the past month already due to some internet issues that are completely unrelated to this. I'll try with my mobile device though, will let you know if it works.

Just tried with my phone. Doesn't work either. I can also still access the profile page from my phone though strangely enough so I guess this helps us get one step closer to finding the problem somehow?

The last thing I would say is try accessing MFC using some other wifi with your phone. Perhaps public wifi somewhere?

No but I want a permanent solution. Plus it's impossible to fap outside lol.

Clearly you haven't tried hard enough...

All Mirra is trying to do is establish if it's your IP address that's being blocked or if it's in the system. Surely you can control yourself from fapping at the local McDonald's long enough to see if it is in fact your IP that's blocked and not your service in general.

As for how your IP address could be blocked if you haven't done anything:

-if your neighbors are stealing your internet, they'd have the same IP address, if they got IP banned, you would also be banned
-if you have any roommates, they could have been IP banned
-if you've recently moved, maybe someone else had that IP address before you did and they got IP banned

I was actually getting a similar error for awhile. I use to just spam the refresh button on my browser and it would eventually work.

For me it turned out to be a problem with the actual cable internet line running to my house.

Because I've since moved to a new location and haven't had the issue since.

Exactly, the most likely answer usually is if you have an unencrypted wifi set up. Literally anyone within range could be the one that got you banned. Or anyone that has visited the house and used it. Any young male relatives visit lately?

Ewww! I will now proceed to Wendy's. lol

Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a…

Finally, after all these years, that 'special sauce' makes sense.

No dammit lol. No one using my wifi in the past 3 weeks could've gotten me banned. I had no relatives visit since last year and my neighbours shouldn't been stealing my internet. I have no roommates and I did not recently move. I've been living here for 10+ years now.

Also I've already contacted MFC support and they haven't given me a response yet. THIS IS SO ANNOYING! Anyone else got any fixes?

...I'm sure if anyone had an answer they wouldn't withhold it. This forum really isn't focused on tech support, and while there are some very educated people here, they are not obligated to give you an answer.

I'm sorry but I never suggested he move.

I was saying the problem is with the line itself. Call your provider, and tell them you are having problems connecting to several websites (you don't have to tell them it's MFC)

It's not like the internet people are going to care what site it is. I end up telling people, "Yes, SM/MFC, the live webcam sex site, I need help with that" quite often.

LOL. Well thanks I guess. I'm just afraid they'll ask me to specify and also usually they send a technician down to check which in my scenario would be INCREDIBLY awkward and also possibly put me behind bars cause of the whole "You must be 18 and above to blah blah blah..." which would not be ideal lol. Although I highly doubt the technician or internet person would snitch on me but it's still better not to take the risk. I'm thinking of using a fake site name like I can't access youtube or something. I'm just worried that they'll send someone down. Anyone got any other ideas? I'll keep this one as a last resort. Thanks again by the way.

Wait.

You're underage?

ABORT THREAD.

No, dude. Just no. You do not go on an adult website with sex workers and ask us to help a minor access a pornography site. YOU are not going to go behind bars, but if we willingly help a minor access pornographic material, WE might.

:text-deletetopic:

Parental block makes a lot more sense right now.

Dude, you're a MORON. Your mother probably blocked you from watching porn and you deserve it.

I really hope Amber lays down the banhammer because this thread is ridiculous.

I'm like just 6 months away from 18 :(

That and she didn't block me from watching porn LOL. It's the reason I have a personal computer.

6 months away from 18 is not 18.....About to report this thread so Amber can see it.
