Hi,

I'm new here, but I saw some threads about the styling of your Chaturbate profile / MFC.
When I visit profiles on these sites, I see profiles with really poor styling, unreadable text, poor quality images etc.
I think that when you have a good, nice and clear profile, your 'sales' / 'conversions' / 'viewers' will go up..

I'm a web- developer / designer and a conversion specialist. I make, improve and restyle websites. I know my way around image editing / photoshop and HTML / Javascript. But I'm looking for some new challenges.

Basically, I want to make some templates / profile designs for these cam sites. But I don't have any inspiration and I don't really know what the broadcaster wants on the profile.

So, long story short, I'm looking for people that can tell me what a profile needs. Or some people that need/want a new design, which I can make for them.

And here's the catch; I do not want any money or something for this!

If you have any questions about this or if you need help with creating images and HTML stuff, send me a message.

Cheers!

btw I want to make / edit bots for Chaturbate too ;)

It will be nice if you throw a sample (or two) of your work related to CB or MFC so we can have a rough idea about your experience in this niche and who knows... maybe you'll start a career doing this ;)

I have a hopefully simple Chaturbate profile question. I want to build a few simple lists under a master heading of tip menu. I understand that the old HTML underline tag of <u></u> is deprecated now in favor of some CSS directive. What is the more modern way of writing the following, and it needs to be compatible with Chaturbate:

<p><u>Model's Expanded Tip Menu</u></p>
<u>Section One</u>
<ul>
<li>Tip Item #1.1
<li>Tip Item #1.2
</ul>
<u>Section Two</u>
<ul>
<li>Tip Item #2.1
<li>Tip Item #2.2
</ul>

Instead of U you can use the tag text-decoration and this will pretty much just underline, you can do more with minimal effort using border-bottom tag though, controling style of the underline for example, those are the most straightforward options and personally prefer to work with border-bottom:

HTML:
<u style="text-decoration:underline">section one</u>
HTML:
<u style="border-bottom: 1px solid red">section two</u>

So text-decoration is a property, but what is the preferred tag? I thought the U tag itself was becoming obsolete?

I saw one online reference use text-decoration on the <p> tag as:
<p { text-decoration: underline; }>
but it is not clear to me is that an inline use within the HTML, or is that some kind of CSS definition? Syntactically, I am not understanding when you would use the "style=" directive, and when would you use the "{ text-decoration: underline; }" syntax?

Limits on chaturbate does not invite elegant coding so it is a bit ad-hoc, p tag should be fine on cb if insist on using text-decoration but seeing it's a lesser option to border-bottom for underlining and I never use text-decoration for that purpose, out of habit I used other tag to achieve only underscoring text.

Let's go with border-bottom. My question was what is the best tag to use that in to underline a single phrase inside a sentence?

I thought <u> was no longer supposed to be used at all?

I also don't understand the different between:

<p style="border-bottom: 1px solid red">section two</p>

and:

<p { border-bottom: 1px solid red; }>section two</p>

When should each of those syntaxes be used? Is one specific to CSS?

The main difference will be that one of those won't work, especially on Chaturbate.
The choice of <tags> and not CSS style { declaration} comes due to limits from Chaturbate and you did ask it to be compatible with Chaturbate. Curly braces are for CSS mostly and rarely used in HTML.

P style border-bottom will apply on paragraph and not just text though, hence I used U style.

It is important to accept you don't have much control on doing code compatible with Chaturbate profile and you will have to work within the limitations set by Chaturbate, no full CSS capabilities.

Thank you that helped me in a few places I was fuzzy.

So, as long as you do not have CSS, it is pretty much use the <u> tag or simply do without underlines.

You can use quite alot of CSS but you'll have to use HTML tags on cb. For example HTML <u> tag can be used with CSS properties like border-bottom, so CSS yes quite a bit but not written traditionally with curly brackets so some limitations. It's not pleasant code but it's how to make it work on cb.

Does the HTML <img> tag not work inside the Wish Lists section of the CB Bio page? HTML appears to work there but the <img> tag never appears to pop up any image.

Never quite occurred to me to use it so had to try it first before replying but img tags seems to work fine when placed in wish list section, wether floating images with fixed position like side buttons for amazon, twitter etc, or just centered images with simple code like such:
HTML:
<img src="IMGLINKHERE" style="display: block;width: 100%;height: auto;margin: auto;"/>

Well I guess I have a typo someplace. I grabbed a random image online and this is I what I inserted. The IMG tag is ignored for me. Does this work for you? Do you see my error?

HTML:

<u><b>Sorted List Here</b></u>
<ul><li>One
<li>Two

What is considered the proper way to left-align an image these days? I assume the align attribute of the img tag is discouraged. Inside the style= section I was able to add "float:left" but that allows text to form to the right of the image. I can work around that but I wanted some opinions on the best way to left align the image and have it stand on its own without any text around it.

by default all elements are aligned to the left (few exceptions like Arabic text).
a work around is to create a parent element and set the align attributes for content.
e.g
<p style="display:block;width:100%;height:auto;margin:0 auto;text-align:left;">
<img src="image-url-path"/>
</p>
depends how big is your image and you should see the difference if you change text-align: left , center or right.

Okay, I get your basic approach, which is to embed an image in a paragraph and control alignment from the paragraph.

What if I want to make the image 20% of its original width? Do I add a style directive into the <img> tag? Or should we avoid having styles in the <img> tag at all, to avoid conflicts with the style in the paragraph?

If I have an unordered list:

HTML:
<ul>
<li>Item One
<li>Item Two
</ul>
is there any way to insert another line item that does NOT have a bullet point? You might want to place above a group of bullets something like "The next three items are all shipped from Canada" but that documentation is not itself a bullet point. The text is just something you want to appear in the list like:

* Item One
* Item Two
The next three items are all shipped from Canada
* Item Three
* Item Four
* Item Five

Let me throw this example and for better understanding I will use values expressed in % .
From a visual point of view the image is displayed in different size, please compare the two examples below

Sample 1
<p style="display:block;width:50%;height:auto;text-align:left;">
<img src="image-url-path" style="display:block;width:100%;height:auto;margin:0 auto;"/>
</p>

Sample 2
<p style="display:block;width:100%;height:auto;text-align:left;">
<img src="image-url-path" style="display:block;width:100%;height:auto;margin:0 auto;"/>
</p>

Even if in both cases Sample 1 and Sample 2 the image has the same css attributes, because of the width of the parent element (in this case the paragraph tag) the image will render smaller
Sample 1 - bigger image
Sample 2 - smaller image

If you add 20% as image width will make it smaller but it also depends on the width of the parent element. No damaging conflicts there, you can play with the width values until you find the best solution, the one you want to achieve.

Regarding the list style and if possible to add a simple text but not as a list element (with list bullet) @notyou87 already posted a solution, the clean one but the code is not complete (no closing tags for li elements).

But this can work ok too.

<ul>
<p style="font-weight:bold;">Title of the list</p>
<li>Item One</li>
<li>Item Two</li>
<li>Item Three</li>
<li>Item Four</li>
<li>Item Five</li>
</ul>

Here's a demo https://jsfiddle.net/cle_dan/y5f690v9/1/

When I modified the width of the paragraph tag, the image size was not changing, and the image was right aligning on the page even though text-align:left was part of the style. So that part I did not understand.

I left width:100% on the paragraph tag, and then I changed size in the style attribute of the <img> tag as you suggested, and that seems to keep it left aligned and reduced the size.

When using responsive width defined by percent values the desktop resolution is making the rules.

What is the best way to stack images on top of each other? The image URLs below are made up. It is not clear to me if I should have an explicit Break between image tags, or is there a style option that guarantees that the image will be placed below the one above it versus to the side?

<p style="display:block;width:100%;height:auto;margin:0 auto;text-align:left;">
<img src="https://x.com/image.jpg" style="width:340px;height:230px" />
