I was wondering if any other models have kids and where they leave them while camming. I don't imagine very many of you have this issue, but I've only been able to do 2 shows because I can't afford public childcare yet. If you leave them with family members, how to you talk them into it without telling them you do sex work? My in-laws would probably die if they found out and that's who he usually stays with.

A lot work while their kids are sleeping. Many have a cover job that they tell relatives - freelance video editing, social media advertising, and online customer service are all covers that models use frequently.

While sleeping doesn't really work. He's 8 months old and shares a bedroom with us. I told my in laws that I'm streaming games on twitch as well as making YouTube videos, and I will be doing those as well so it isn't a total lie, but they've since stated that they won't watch him if it's just so I can go play video games. They are very old fashioned... I have a girl who watches him twice a week, but I'm definitely going to need to work more than 6 hours a week if I'm going to make okay money...

I've had very very limited babysitting since my son was born in 2013. I just learned how to work from another room during naps or when he was sleeping. Sometimes there's just not another option than to forego some sleep. It sucks, but for me there was literally no other option. Eventually I ended up working nights and split shift sleeping with my husband. I would average maybe 5 hours of sleep those nights and would nap in 5 minute intervals when I was sure the kid could safely play in his room while I "supervised" from the recliner in his room.

Tons of camgirls are moms. Most of us cam so we don't have to have babysitters I suspect. I've never had anyone watch my kids. I just cammed while they slept. Last year, I switched mostly to clips because that was more guaranteed money for the time I put in. It's hard, but it can be done.

Word, switching to clips was a LIFESAVER.

You mean one 5 minute video could potentially earn $50+?! Sign me up! As a mom, we need the MOST bang for our buck to maximize every second of our time and clips are seriously the best way to do that. Set aside even 10 minutes every day to film a few 3 minute videos and it will start to add up. Seriously. I don't make bank and my earnings are nothing to brag about, but they are stable and provide for my family. Clips allow me to work only during the hours when my son is at preschool or sleeping. Not to mention, you could easily film while the kid is asleep and then do the "boring" typing part of the video posting while they're awake, provided your child(ren) is too young to read and/or can't see the screen you're typing on.

Other ways to help max your earnings during your child free hours, texting. SextPanther is really really saving my ass this pay period. A few texts from one guy and I've made $70 today alone. Y'all those pennies add up. Pinch them and your sleep where you can and beg your followers to buy you coffee!

I totally second what Rose said! Clip making is what is keeping me in sex work. While I did enjoy cam for a few months, I just found it hard to be motivated at night when my 3 year old was asleep in the room next to my cam room. Even though her dad is great and helps a ton, I'm still her go to person so if she would wake up or if she was sick I'd have to pause or log off -_- Cam just got really tough for me and the money was not steady for a while before I decided to make clips and now I feel like my time and effort is finally justified
If you have in laws that are willing to babysit then I would just make up another "work from home" type job title and go with that!

Personally, I found that setting aside 90% of my child free time to live cam and 10% to film was the most lucrative for my cramped time. If you're juggling both, it's a great way to work on transitioning to build up your passive income!

I cam while he’s in school, or when he rides his scooter over to the library (He’s 14).

I do not cam but I create content full time- I feel like content creating is much easier with little ones- I do It while she's in school or sleeping. I have the luxury that she completely knows what we do (she's going to be 13) and my husband also does this full time. So one of us can hang with her and one of us can work in the studio or whatever. I have a completely separate space to work so I can- It's downstairs and on the other end of the huge house we have. So she can't hear me AT all. She is also super self sufficient and can do most things alone. We seriously make it work - I am a single parent with 0 help from anyone and I have been doing this 6 years so 6 years ago she was pretty small. We have also been trying for baby #2 for a while now so having a tiny tiny baby will be interesting but again separate space & an amazing husband who literally will help me whenever I want.

@Songbird_Shelly first you look amazing for having a teenager & you look SOOOO young to have a 14 year old!

Thanks for the suggestions. My kiddo is 9 months old and not a teen, so I don't have school or anything to work with. How does "making clips" work?

Grab any video recording device you have/can afford, wait until kid falls asleep, film as much as you can until they wake up from nap. Edit (or don't, sometimes you need those extra minutes) your videos and post for sale as soon as the kid falls asleep.

I would recommend filming as many 3-5 minute videos as you can to start out with. Film all the things, even if it's "junk", and sell it anyways. If you get started with filmg say 3 videos a day and posting 1 new video a day, you'll have a bit of a stash backed up for days when you can't film or have extra time to edit. The point is to get things snowballing so you have a stockpile to work with and build your earnings on.

It really doesn't matter the age because all of our kids were that age at one point; Kids sleep so I would highly suggest filming or camming or sleeping when he/she sleeps. I'm sure your partner has days off so I would highly suggest asking him/her to help out for a few hours. You can slo do this during the week after dinner and have him/her help out. You can also do daycare or hire a friend/family a few days a week once you get $$ coming in. You can film A LOT in 5-6 hours that small babies sleep.

For sure! And even if you can only squeeze an hour for filming, for starter videos an hour can make miracles happen. It's all about that time micro management.

Gotta clean house while baby sleeps? Strip down and film yourself washing dishes naked! Vacuum in slutty lingerie! Get those barefeet dirty and mop some floors with the camera on! Seriously, start slow and work your way up. Eventually you'll be able to crack that 5-6 hours of hardcore filming to get ahead.

I'll add in here that, if you can manage to get some bathroom time to yourself (and don't mind filming yourself going, it's out of a lot of people's comfort zones), toilet clips sell FANTASTIC, if you're looking for maximum money-time investment. I sell them for $2/min+99cents, instead of C4S's $1/min+99cents recommendation, and people buy them up.

We need more allies, thanks for taking the lumps for us. :)
Thanks! I just had a conversation with vanilla people about epistemology, hence how do we know what we know. I was amazed with how pseudo intellectuals, who despise religion, still base their negative opinions on pure belief. And I know a beat about believing in crazy stuff, my brother is a Rabbi :)

It's amazing how many of those people are running the country. ;)

Okay. I don't know the first thing about filmmaking or editing and how to set that up. My fiance actually convinced his parents to take him for about 6 hours on weekdays and things are going much better. I'd still be interested in doing some clips and videos for extra cash, though.

I would HIGHLY recommend reading through any of the Clips4Sale or iWantClips threads on here, even AmateurPorn or KinkBomb as all of those sites are great places to start. We've compiled exhaustive research on all of the aforementioned sites for models to read through and make the best decision on where to start. :)

The Camgirl Wiki linked on here may also prove really helpful!

Film on your phone, make sure it's horizontal, and as far as editing goes, snipping out when you start & stop the camera in Windows Movie Maker is all you really need.

Would filming on my 1080p webcam be better? I can set that up for decent angles whereas I don't have any sort of tripod or stand for my phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy S8, so the camera is really good, but I just would struggle to get good angles. I can use it when my fiance is home so he can hold it for POV scenes and such, but is there anything wrong with my Logitech C920 (I think that's what it is) in the meantime for solo stuff? I'm going to spend today experimenting with ideas instead of streaming.

Both work.

The VSDC free version is extremely helpful to me as a video editor! The tutorials are available in video or text format and are extremely concise and laid out. It's the only video editing program I use and it's been super user friendly especially without any former editing knowledge!
