My mom and I have an annual tradition of watching the original Silent Night Deadly Night and Santa's Slay. They aren't award winners but it's a fun break from the Christmas movie norms.

There are some pretty spectacular B rated Santa horror films out there.

The best Christmas horror movie to me is Black Christmas. Not the remake. The original from the 70's I believe. It has one of the scariest scenes in a movie. Still can't watch it alone. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out.

Krampus was fantastic, which is to be expected from the director of Trick r Treat. So many christmas demons! (Which may be a slight obsession)
