I finally got a photo ID so I'm trying to sign up for some camsites but one asked me for my SS number is that a red flag? I mean I know it's a possibility for people to find out about my caming but I don't want it coming up on my job reports and stuff... Besides that anyone know of some cam sites that let you block country and wear a mask or something?

If you want to get paid, yes, you need to provide your SSN.

They tie your taxes to your ss...so yeah you have to provide it. And for future employers, they generally only search for criminal history. I don't know why they would look into your tax history at all. And if they do, we are sole proprietors so as long as you list 'photography and video production' on taxes there is a lot of wiggle room to dance around 'I did porn/cam'.

Incorporate. Have the camsite pay you through your corporation. Then pay yourself through your company. That way you are an employee of your corporation and your "job report "(what is a job report exactly?) will reflect that. There are also many other benefits to incorporating.

If you plan on doing this awhile consult a tax professional. You can also research incorporating/electing to be an S Corporation.

You do need to provide your social for tax purposes, and they have a completely safe and secure place to enter it. But just for the record I was in a situation where a legitimate site wanted me to hold my social up to my face in a spy-able private chat with them to verify I was actually my age. Do not do this. Even if they ask it. I wanted to put this out there because although it seems completely ridiculous and insane it did happen to me, and I don't want someone else having trust in a support member that isn't out for their best interest. I believe the only place where they need tax information is for W9s and when they actually have you fill it in on the site.
