i forget about them not suporting straemate. i remeber being told by shine that it was on streamates end and they would not be joining them. i gusse it rubs me the wrong way that there acting as if there already working with stremate by listing there banner and there not. im just very skeptical of new companies, im not sure what log in details they would then hjave acess to on there side. if you are already using shine have you tried brings up streamate on the same brower and jsut putting it next to eachother but kinda pretend its all on one screen'?

We indeed already work with multi-streaming to Streamate, which is why we list them as a multi-stream option, as explained thoroughly above. Streamate requires the URL and key to be updated manually, and we are exploring ways to automate this for a seamless experience in future versions, allowing for a persistent connection. We will not release the v2 connector for them until our legal team has confirmed that we may do so. We strive to be good corporate citizens.

Yeah I do do that. It’s still way less than ideal. I guess no product exists that integrates SM seamlessly. Bummer.

This looks like an interesting option but i'm concerned about why you have to put in the password for each site. I would want to know how these are stored first. If this works well it could be a good alternative to ShineModels Browser

For multi-streaming, the primary requirements are only the streaming URL and streaming token needed to re-stream to each cam site.

The username helps us identify the account on our platform, and the username/password combination enables beta features for certain sites. These features include summarized earnings reports, token history, public channel chat aggregation, and direct message aggregation, allowing you to respond from Friends Online, and the messages will be sent to your accounts on other cam sites. These are all optional features currently in internal beta testing and not enabled in production yet for the handful of sites we've working to support, but we plan to increase support and adoption of these features in the future. The goal is to make the experience easier for models and content creators to utilize multiple platforms and websites with less effort. If you’ve ever tried to manage your content on OnlyFans, Loyal Fans, Patreon, Fansly, and multi-stream on Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, CamSoda, Streamate, Streamray, etc., all at the same time, then you know the challenges it presents and the strain it puts on your sanity trying to manage all those windows/tabs. It’s also a huge burden on your computer, and most people don’t have the capability of running supercomputers from NASA to handle all these demands.

I hope this explains why we support usernames and passwords for multi-streaming. Keep in mind, it’s completely optional, and we encrypt the credentials on our servers. You can simply add an account and put your streaming token with our default stream url to that site, and it will work for multi-streaming all the same!

It's very early days but I had a chance to chat with David. The benefits seem to be mostly be through the improved technology, better video quality and lower latency / lag spikes for streamers by not using RMTP and instead opting for SRT. The idea for the project is good and it's not the same as ShineModels Browser since it's also it's own site which does have the ability to provide a lot of benefits. The main one I can think of is chat aggregation, for e.g. sending chat messages from Chaturbate, Stripchat etc... into one feed and displaying it on the site. I recommended combined chat to be more important than split streaming at the moment since Splitcam, OBS Plugins etc... can already help achieve this in different ways but I understand it's the natural first step.

I made the point that most Cam Models are already very savvy and have there own ways of working. Myself included.
I think once I can see something that ShineModels browser doesn't offer already it might be worth exploring more especially if more Cam sites like Cherry.tv are supported. I do think if chat / tips are combined it could be quite beneficial. Some users can get frustrated when something else is happening on a different site and they don't know who's tipping or sending messages. The only problem with that is you can't just send traffic from 1 site to another so it's more for regulars who follow you on other platforms like Discord.

I see the site as a place for big tippers to watch the best quality stream in 4k. I think that's the market there.
Most users will watch on a phone or don't care as much about the quality but I don't think it's unreasonable to drive traffic to the site for users who regularly follow your cams and want the best experience. This is if the site delivers on what they say for stream quality. Since the technology was built first and it seems like a lot of work has gone into it I don't see why it wont but I don't want to be too optimistic yet.

Honestly, to me it seems like reinventing the wheel. You aren't going to run into any saving grace another site may have tried because everyone wants to be number one. I'm kind of honestly interested in cam sites being deregulated much in the way that telecom companies were. But I don't think you're going to be the bulldog that makes that happen unless you lobby to the US Congress and as a start up business you don't have that kind of grease money.

Decades ago telecom companies held monopolies over the services and major effort was put in place to provide neutral competitive options.

I'm not sure how you feel cam sites are regulated and what changes you hope would happen to be deregulated, but I'd love to hear more about this.

From our perspective the only way to get better alternatives and service is for the models to vote with their freewill and support new competitors on the market that are doing the right thing for them.

You mention US Congress - how do you feel they are impeding upon models today and what changes do you think are productive and fair? It sounds like you have some great perspectives that might benefit us all to be openly discussed.

I used regulated/deregulated loosely, not in an MCI math/Ma Bell kind of way. More the way laws are structured in appearance of stopping sex trafficking at the cost of models income streams. There's a generalized list of things we are not allowed to do on any platform and really specific things on specific sites.

One site allows broadcasting from public spaces while others don't allow it at all or require permission in writing from the site.

The age verification of viewers in six states just to access porn sites is a problem as well. Chaturbate has to pay the state of Texas $675,000 for not properly age restricting the site in that state the way the newest law demands. Virginia, North Carolina, Utah, Louisiana and one more state I can never remember all have this in place. There are work arounds, of course. VPNs being the first resource.

I just can't see how you can get all of the gears to turn without grinding another in the process. Too many moving parts.

The laws regarding sex work are becoming more restrictive instead of embracing the industry as legitimate work.

Many models fear banking with banks because they know people or had their own accounts closed for suspicious activity due to large deposits and triggering the bank to investigate.

Would I love to see you pull it off, yes. In my opinion I would rather see your company go to bat for the industry by lobbying Congress for a safer environment that doesn't restrict what grown adults can do in sex work because some unattended child will stumble on it and think that's how sex is in every situation. There's a lot of wringing of hands and won't somebody think of the children going on here with zero onus on the parent to stop their kid from finding that content to begin.

Or I guess do both. Build your empire and help us at the law level. Most of us are hamstrung and can't get our voices heard because our voices fly directly in the face of the Land of Gilead these people are trying to build where women are barefoot, pregnant and married to a man. Being an independent sex workers means we make those choices and there are a lot of very old, very white men who can't stand that. To the point they are willing to do anything to make it as difficult as possible.

Thanks for reading all of this and letting me expound on my frustrations, can't wait to read your response. We have different datasets, you and I, perhaps combining them unlocks the solution.

I wonder if things are going the opposite way for different countries? I know Barclays recently decided to de-bank some Sex Workers in the UK but areas like Japan have gained a massive following on Stripchat. I agree most of the world seems to be going backwards when it comes to Sex Work laws but appealing to a range of countries could benefit US models if sites bothered to include automatic translations. It seems to have worked worked well for XCams and Amateur.tv.

It would be nice to see more sites introduce affordable cryptocurrency options as well. The risk of getting de-banked even small can be a lot for Sex Workers (myself included) on-top of everything else. I use a Building Society in the UK which is owned by the members and not corporate investors so I feel safer but I know i'm not immune. Especially for international transfers which require a 3rd party Agent bank.

Website Rules

Some sites have chosen their own individual rules in addition to state and federal laws to help align with their conservative viewpoints and/or desire to provide a safety buffer, thereby avoiding frequent brushes with established laws. It is important for every creator to understand the rules each platform has and find one that aligns not only with legal standards but also with their own viewpoints. At Friends Online, we embrace a philosophy of "if it isn't illegal and it isn't harming anyone, then we encourage free speech and expression." We strive to respect others' actions and maintain professionalism. Different viewpoints should not automatically be prohibited or banned on our platform. Our goal is inclusion and acceptance, allowing the free market to determine which content and creators to support. Our role is to provide the technology that enables individuals to pursue what makes them happy, within our generous limits and the boundaries of the law, without imposing any bias.

Age Verification Bills: The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

We discuss this topic almost weekly because it significantly impacts both you and us as a company. We are committed to building a platform that is safe, secure, and maintains privacy while ensuring that content remains shareable. We are integrating with credible programs to help prevent and report child exploitation and other violations of our terms of service, as well as state and federal laws. The newly passed age verification laws, cloaked under the guise of child protection, do not genuinely offer any real protection or safety. In fact, anyone with a background in technology understands that these laws could reduce traffic and income to websites by 60-90% in the states that enact these unconstitutional laws. Unfortunately, more than half of the U.S. states are considering, have drafted, or have already approved similar bills. You can track this at the Free Speech Coalition's Age Verification Bills Tracker. These poorly drafted laws, pushed by religious lobbyists, broadly attempt to control free speech by labeling diverse content as 'obscene.' This could even extend to discriminatory practices against LGBTQ creators or other marginalized groups under the guise of regulating 'explicit content.' This is a step in the wrong direction for our country, and we will fight it from every angle possible.

What Can We Do?

The best immediate action is to contact state senators to oppose these bills, although it might seem like a small gesture. Supporting organizations like the Free Speech Coalition and the ACLU in their fight against these laws is crucial. As we grow and gain more resources, we plan to contribute both our technical expertise and financial support to these organizations.

Banking Issues

We face similar threats and issues with banks as you do. While the NCUA strictly forbids accounts from being associated with adult work, the FDIC does not. However, almost all commercial banks have amended their "morality clauses" to exclude business with adult workers. We are constantly exploring the best options and pushing for changes to provide safer banking options for the industry, without the threat of account closures or seizures.

International Restrictions

While I can't speak for every country, in those where we have been active, there has been an observable decline in the perception of adult work, with an increase in attempts to tax and take revenue from the industry without offering equal rights. We are committed to working with and supporting entities that help us change the status quo and promote equal rights and fair treatment.

Summary (if you skipped to the end)

The more successful we become, the stronger our position will be to actively challenge these oppressive restrictions on behalf of the adult community. We are advocating for equal rights and fair treatment, striving for the same opportunities as anyone else without being persecuted or oppressed by state or federal governments or financial monopolies.

I don't know man, it's "I'll pay you Tuesday for your service today." And I don't think many of us are in a position to try to grab your brass ring for you when so many things are going wrong and you want capital to help solve the problem when you get that capital off my back and you can't show me that you're actually going to do anything to change these laws. Let me see your name on a Lobby list and I'll bite.

Thank you for your candid feedback. I want to clarify that our company is self-funded—I've personally invested in developing the technology and resources we have today. I'm not seeking additional capital upfront; rather, I'm highlighting how early support can boost our ability to make a significant impact in this industry. Our aim is to build a platform that not only grows to scale but also becomes a powerful advocate for the community we serve.

Investing millions into technology and resources is not about being a burden; it's about striving to be a protective ally, amplifying your professional presence through our platform. If our approach doesn't align with your needs, and you feel that alternatives might better serve your interests—whether that's a traditional platform with different financial terms or a new venture offering different benefits—that's completely understandable.

We pride ourselves on operating efficiently and have already established a successful business model that benefits our users. Our platform offers more than just payouts; we emphasize safety, security, and marketing to help you thrive. We understand the complexities involved with working with payment merchants, handling taxes, securing data, managing internet traffic, and providing safety content monitoring and support to both members and content creators using the latest cutting-edge technology. These are just a few of the essential pieces of the puzzle that are critical to delivering a reliable and effective service.

If you're looking for a platform where you can have a real impact and contribute to a community that fights for your interests, we're here to support that. We believe in building something that not only serves immediate needs but also paves the way for long-term success and influence in the industry.

You've got some extremely lofty goals, and it's admirable that you're trying to be the best of both worlds for adult streamers/creators. But I fear that when the time comes that you're faced with choices between doing what's morally/politically right for your streamers/creators or making $$ to keep the site afloat, you may have to go back on some of those promises.

Time will tell. I wish you the best.

Hi, is FriendsOnline still up & running? I have been searching for a link but I can't find one.
Yes, we've still up and running! Friends Online is adding new beta testers every every week or so, as we open new features. https://friendsonline.com/creator/signup/INVITEONLY if you want to sign up and test out multi-streaming. Lovense toy integration was just finished a week ago and we're adding some more features oriented around live streaming before we add subscription content into the platform.

OBS virtual camera is completely free and you can use it to multistream.
That includes on Streamate.

I don't even know of any that charge because why bother when there are free options?

In business I think it's very important to control the scope of a business. Better to do one thing very well than five things mediocrely.
This is especially true in a new business.

Many try to reinvent the porn wheel, it's been done. Just do your version the best but don't mistake Creators for idiots, if you claim to always put their interests first then either your business will fail or it's just spin which is insulting. We are self employed, we understand that the platforms are also businesses and have to balance decisions which sometimes won't go the way we want.

Don't blow smoke, we can see through it.

We get threads like this on here regularly, almost all go essentially nowhere.

The hesitation to try new sites is because the success rate is something like 1/10000, not a lack of ability on our part.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It seems there might be some confusion here.

Friends Online is a comprehensive social media platform with live streaming and engagement features. We recently conducted a limited-time trial of our cloud-based multi-streaming service, which utilizes server-side processing and resources. These resources are not free, and this service is quite different from an OBS virtual camera input that allows multiple applications to use the same camera without exclusive access. While OBS is a fantastic streaming tool, Friends Online and OBS are not in the same category. We permit models and content creators to utilize OBS amongst many other tools to stream to our platform.

Fully unrestricted, free cloud-based multi-streaming options are hard to come by due to the costs involved. However, this is just one of the many features we offer to adult models who need it on our social media platform.

We appreciate your interest and concern. Currently, we have concluded our multi-streaming tests. We’ve just completed Lovense toy integration and will soon be adding content uploads and subscriptions.

Hey Amber,

Great question! Models only need accounts on other sites if they want to multi-stream there, but our main focus is for them to stream on our platform.

We're both a live-streaming cam platform and subscription social media content platform. Right now, we're still fine-tuning some features before they're fully ready, so we've launched with a few basic ones like multi-streaming to start getting creators on board. Think of it as early access rather than our big official launch. We're about 6-8 weeks away from enabling payments through credit cards and crypto, and sorting out our automated payout systems with Cosmo Payment and Paxum.

This platform is totally new, built from scratch. Instead of charging $25-50/month for multi-streaming, we're giving it away for free. It's part of our marketing strategy to introduce ourselves to the industry, share our core values/mission, and start building our presence. It'll take some time to drive quality traffic to our site, and we thought this would be a fair approach to soft launch and make sure we can validate everything is working operationally as we scale it up to full capacity.

We're using the latest tech for our video streaming servers, which are way better in terms of performance, reliability, and quality. So, if a model's internet connection is a bit unstable, streaming through us will actually make their video better.

It's gonna be a tough one for you!

I remember when MFC had a very popular cam model named "Downloads".

Can't imagine she was easy to search for 😂
