From studio to independent... question for models about username

Hello models and studio owners! I have a client who is interested in going independent. The client's current CB account was their own creation, and is attached to their personal email. However, it is currently operated by a studio. My knowledge of studio accounts is limited. I was curious, can a studio account release a username from their umbrella? If the client no longer wishes for their account to be operated by the studio, can CB assist in releasing it? I'm working under the assumption that the studio now 'owns' the account, and am hoping someone has advice to the contrary.

The studio owns the account, 99% of the time the studio must give authorization to CB in order to release the account. That other 1% is a total mystery, i dont know if someone at cb support skips a step or what all I know is that it has definitely happened before without authorization.
