Seems that camsoda is a small site because the website is down or reponding very slowly since it hit the reddit spotlight.

It loads fine here, but looks quite small - the room with most viewers had less than 100 viewers before Gianna came online, at which point her room went to ~2400 viewers (but I wonder how much is just the reddit effect).

I hate to say it but the way she was typing/speaking/responding in her AMA is a bit of a turn off. :(

If I recall, that site is more of a voyeur cam house type thing, I think?

edit: looks like they've changed a bit since launch, have actual cam site look now. Actually it looks a little bit like a CB ripoff.

And now GinnyPotter is heading over there too. Wonder why, if MFC isn't exciting her anymore or somefin.

It looks like Camsoda are trying to re-brand/re-establish themselves, so maybe they're establishing some new business relationships with a few well-known faces from the worlds of porn and camming in the hopes that some of the clientele of those performers follow them to the new Camsoda website. Pure speculation on my part but it wouldn't surprise me if they offered x amount to a few models to cam with them for x hours a week and promote them on social media. It'll bring the site extra traffic and the models have nothing to lose - they get paid if they bring in a crowd, they get paid if they don't, and if for whatever reason it doesn't work out, it was only ever something they were doing in addition to their main source of income anyway (be it MFC or whatever).

Of course, most of my business knowledge of the camming world comes from watching BongaCams' recruitment plan in action, so I could be way off.

This. They are paying models to come cam for a set period of time so they cam promote them. Also offering additional pay if they bring in a certain amount of tokens per hour.

Someone said they are paying an hourly wage if particular hourly token goals are met. So that's cool.
