How to do onmouseover-type effects for social icons in bio?

I'm not able to figure this one out with my mediocre CSS skills (or lack thereof).

I know how to do the icons, links, layout, etc. Just can't get the pop-outs to work for the mouseover-type effect within the links in the bio.

I think its picky about image dimensions but i dont know the requirements.

Ahhh... I missed that they were changing the cursor vs popping out another image. Should have seen that.

Looks like the maximum dimension is ~125x125.

Anything larger won't display.
