Hi everyone , hubby and I are a couple on chaturabate and have only been on there a few months . after googling our name we saw that multiple sites had recorded our shows and selling them. We purchased the DMCA protection but can't figure out how to get the logo/ watermark on our cam. I dont just want it on the profile because I know not everyone scrolls down. Im also super pissed that people are stealing our content to make money off of. Anyone else also experience this?

Hate to say it this way. But uh welcome to the cam world. No matter what you do there will always be recordings of your shows on tube sites or wherever. There are bots that record everyone. And a few of these sites don't even respond to dmca requests. Also putting the dmca logo on your stream wont help anything. Mostly it will just hurt you cause people will get annoyed that it's there and then simply go to the next person to tip/watch.

Just wanted to inform you having a DMCA logo or text on your profile does not protect you from being recorded at all-if anything I've heard viewers say the logo can be annoying. Having DMCA protection is great (I have a dmca guy who takes care of getting my stuff deleted or hidden from search results) but watermarking your cam with a dmca logo isn't effective-you're better off watermarking your screen name or twitter so in the event it is uploaded at least some of that traffic can be pointed to you

This.

Use cam streaming software (Manycam, Xsplit, OBS) and add text or a small logo image to your feed with your name, not the DMCA logo.

I wasn’t easily able to figure out how to use ManyCams for the watermark so I just gave up.

If you're on PC then I would suggest Xsplit, but OBS works too if you don't want to pay. If you're on Mac then OBS or camtwist (camtwist is simple and user friendly). I think ManyCams is garbage, but that's my opinion.

Hey! You can use HTML/CSS to post the DMCA logo. Here's an example similar to what I use that should work. I pasted this in my Chaturbate About Me.

<img src="https://images.dmca.com/Badges/dmca-badge-w250-2x1-01.png" style="height: 55px; position: absolute; top: 43em; left: 2.6em;"/>

You can play around with/adjust the numbers after "top" and "left" to suit your needs.

The biggest issue with using css/html for stuff like watermarks, is the fact you can easily remove it. To make it slightly harder you can add a pointer event ( pointer-events: none; ) to the styling. When I say "easily" I really do mean a click of a few buttons and a genius doesn't have to figure it out.
However, with that said I don't think the majority (typical.average viewers) know how to do it. The people who record etc obviously know how to, plus on CB as soon as you put your video into fullscreen mode, it removes the watermark completely, so that is yet a second way to remove said watermark as a viewer. They (chaturbate) really need to do what other sites have done and embed it fully

I just gave up on Xsplit. It was constantly hiccuping during my lives on MFC. Is OBS still not working with them? When I used to stream video games my pc used to deal with it so much better!

Watermarking your stuff is the best thing you can do to protect yourself by bringing more traffic to your accounts. Better than DMCA logo, if I remember is a white little thing right? That thing is not even transparent.

What exactly were your issues with Xsplit? I use it for every MFC broadcast and it works awesome for me. :) Sadly OBS doesn't work with MFC yet afaik.

Yeah, definitely agree. I just think of it as deterring the lazier people, haha.

Can I PM you to not clutter the thread? It may be something silly, I'm still researching, I really like watermaking my stuff lol
