Hi everyone! I’m a cam model on MFC and I am having a hard time keeping people in my room, a lot of them leave after I say hello to them, and many of them are just lurking and leaving or lurking for the whole show without having said a word or tipping.

How can I get more people to come into my room and get tipping?

I have a high quality webcam, a clean and inviting area behind me, and I am usually talking to try to get others to talk to me or am currently talking to someone out loud in the chat.

I use a Lush, so that is typically in my topic, and I always have a countdown for going nude and/or cum show.

I need more of an audience. I get about 3 premium average. Please help!

This is pretty normal in camworld. Trying to figure out how to gain and retain an auiidence.

Best way is to create a schedule and stuck to it. It's gonna take a while to build those relationship or reputation.

Another great way to getting an audience is to make your own. You can grow your own on social media. If you are not happy with the traffic, bring your own.

It takes time to build up an audience. Just keep making sure that what you are doing is fun and interesting, look like you are having a good time, because if you look bored, then viewers are going to be bored and are unlikely to stay in your room. Also, don't call members out by name when greeting them because that tends to scare them away. With time, you will gain an audience.

I saw one now-popular model on CB grow her audience by sending PMs to visitors in her room (I assume just the purple ones). These weren't the usual "hi bb" or "hru" PMs. These were more like "I'm so horny right now" and "Imagine this is your cock". As soon as I got one of these hot PMs, I spent hours and hundreds of tokens in her room.

Doing this on MyFreeCams will get you blocked by the majority of the members you do this to. So don't try it.

being welcomed in chat or in pm immediately make me just run fast away.
It is aggressive.
I dislike much forced sale - That's how it appears, even if you do it politely and kindly : "Hi, tokens"
(you're selling a service, you're not buying tokens)

Ok, a pm sent after a correct tipping or even just a nice exchange in chat is welcomed.
But never engage, let them lurking, making their opinion.
Lurking for free what you do in public is in the rules and makes the most of your flow.

I don't understand. Members on MFC don't like receiving PMs?
and neither on CB
at least unsollicited PMs.
You see many requests for PM in chat, but the majority stays silent.
and it's a chance else you wouldn't need the video part of the site (don't ask why PM has a price in many rooms)

We don't? I get several every day. Yes, I usually ignore the "hi bb" and "hru" PMs but I absolutely love the creative ones. They have kept me in rooms spending tokens.

The "Imagine this is your cock" one came from skyewatson when she first started. It's worked out well for her at least.

That's because asking a model for a free PM is rude.

I think it's because members like PMs.

No, and the ones you describe are the worst.

If you like them, you're certainly in a small percentile so please don't recommend models do it.

That's much better than the usual "hi" and "hru" we usually get.

SM can send spam mails to members that ever spent money with them and it's annoying there as well. The main issue is how non genuine it can feel getting unsolicited messages from models. Sometimes they are the good, 'I'm returning from surgery' or informational messages which are useful. But most the time it's, 'it's my birthday so spend money on me!!' sort of messages which come off as pandering considering how many models can't be bothered to even remember the members they are sending these messages to.

I totally agree about PMS being most of them annoying and worst if you are like "super horny" I think you might get attention but it would vanish as soon as the dude cums. I think welcome pms or to say thank you to a user, start chatting just because u want to, etc.. is a kind show of interest but not good idea to abuse of it and look desperate to get tokens since u can actually add "hot chat" to your tip menu and get real tokens from a user who actually wants a naughty convo.
About MFC... that's what I like about most people in that site, their willingness to have real communication to somebody who's interesting or creative instead of a super horny "bot" who says the same copy/paste text to everybody. I mean, maybe sending sexual pms work for someone but... I don't think is the most intelligent strategy.

Are you saying I'm the worst? :depressed:

Yes, Worst as user in a cam site ^^ :
You'd better be a Skype/Porn/Pic site regular than a Cam regular.

But, thinking back, all this has to be considered closely as everything is relative haha)
dark_mermaid maybe offers more pvt services and need the minimum of viewers to ensure his flow.

Some rooms are specialized in private show and others make their token flow in public shows, or balance between pvt and public.
rstanton seems to be a pvt show customer and just have to look around when he enters a room to know where he is before crying for a pm
Acting as being alone in a public show kills the show (and that is the worst) :/

Broadcasters, let us the time to acclimate :)
If you want many users, act as a offering public shows, else it's normal that you don't have many users.

most of cam site viewers are not looking for skype shows and expect you to be with everybody and not busy the whole day in PMs or on your smartphone...

From my experience, and I've been camming just under a month (with a potato cam) so it's not much, I tend to get and retain most of my viewers while I'm talking. Which can get a bit tiring if you're just carrying on a conversation with yourself. But also be aware not to talk TOO much, which can be off-putting and I'm still trying to get the hang of, whoops.

I have seen some people recommend getting into some sexy, inviting poses at the very start and teasing their viewers so that the room preview looks more interesting that simply sitting in a chair, but in my experience if you flash booty and all the viewers flock in for booty before you launch into something different, more than likely, they're going to leave.

So far the strategy is to be interesting, talk in moderation, and don't come onto new viewers too hard, accept your lurkers, and be open to conversation. Almost all of my tips come from regulars that I have built up through ordinary, mundane conversations, and we found things we have in common.

Why? Because I like it when models send me PMs because my username is purple (no I do not ask for PMs)? Because I've spent thousands of tokens on these models over the years, including some who have become rather popular right now like skyewatson, Andrea_Duque97 and others, and continue to send me unsolicited PMs? Or because I continue to tip these awful awful models hundreds of tokens every week who have been going strong for over three years appealing to a niche audience which the elitist supermodels here hate?

Amber, please ban me immediately. I'm tired of the negativity that dominates your site.

Sending pms to regulars and first persons in the room is totally fine, especially on cb, because it's also a way to keep people in the room. I do this too. Unless you are already super, super popular and getting and keeping people into your room is no problem at all, I would totally advise it.

On mfc I only ever made tokens through pms. The number of guys who even used public chat on mfc was incredibly small. Again, if you have a large enough user base, this might change.

We here on acf are just not representative in my opinion.

I thought we were speaking of 'how to increase your audience' (skyewatson, Andrea_Duque97 don't need that) and the situation is : You enter a room you don't know, and the model immediatly and desperately send a pm to your tokens.
Of course I like to have Pms from friends but that's not the topic

it's ok also if I stay hours in an empty room, she can wonder what I'm doing, that is normal.

With a PM your asking for personal attention, taking the models attention away from the main room, this is why a lot of models charge for PM, if you want personal attention then you gotta pay for it.

Since we are talking about mfc here, an indicator to what can be considered a "high" or a "normal" number of users in an mfc chat room for a NEW girl would be helpful. And is it even necessary to have many people in your room on mfc? People can send a pm from everywhere on mfc. There are also the lounges, which are often the room with the hightest number of users.

We're talking about a NEW girl on mfc.

Here another new mfc model said she had no more than 23 viewers. In my opinion and from my experience this is a rather normal number for a new mfc model.

I don think it's necessary to have a lot of people in the room, but I think having them in the room instead of all in PM deffinalty helps long term to get people to stick around, the members get to know each other and it takes you from just another room to more of a community.

Pfft welcome to my sm inbox filled with bullshit messages. I haven't checked my inbox in over two years. I'm over 800 unread messages.

Unless we hear back from the op, it's all speculation. In the other thread the op never replied anymore too. "I want more traffic" is much too broad to give an answer to. If anyone knows THE answer, I'm all ears. I'd even accept am pm with the magic recipe...

My viewers this week really sucked. I went from making 13k tokens 2 days in a row to 1000 and today 2300 or something like that, just to show you the dramatic drop. The freeloaders are smelling the desperation and i know my energy probably sucks and I most likely make it all worse.
I’m sitting at #250 and yesterday had a max of 2 premiums at a time in my room. When I’m bored, i put my fav tunes on and dance. Still nothing. I get my tits out, nothing. I don’t know what the hell is going on! If I knew the trick to get more I’d share it with you.
I’m all about quality though, not quantity. So I don’t really care that I never have big numbers in my room, but this was just shocking.

I do believe in approaching people yourself. I have met some of my best tippers and now great friends that way. The idea isn’t to ask for tokens but have a chat without expectations and see where it leads. Maybe it’s time to get out there and approach some new People again for me...
