I want to get into cam shows with my wife on Chaturbate but I have a questions about it before we jump in.

Assuming we are both age verified, have both agreed to appear, and the account is under my name, who has to file the 1099 if we only cam together? who is the independent contractor? who will have this appear on background checks?

Just me? or both of us?

my wife is looking for a career in education so if this shows up in her employment history we won't be doing cam shows.

any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Whether or not it shows up on her background check (and I don't know the answer to that question), it probably isn't a good idea for your wife to cam if she wants a career in education.

agreed. her image will be on the internet forever. People will video cap her camera feed and place it on the internet for download. While this is illegal, it still happens and you may never be able to remove all of it.

Someone could find it, and ruin her career.

I would absolutely not do anything involving porn, the internet, or sharing her sexuality anywhere semi publicly if she wants a career in education. Most people are still really anti-porn and this could ruin, or prevent her from going anywhere in a career with education. Not just education with children, but with adults, teens, and anywhere in between.

The reporting requirement falls on the person whose Tax ID is on that 1099. Keep in mind though that if you and your wife are running the room, technically you two are jointly owning and operating a business and have a partnership situation.

The tax questions are more for a tax professional, especially if there are state tax implications for what you want to do.

If the current or future public image to you and your wife is important, than I think that the privacy concerns are too great for camming. If you're smart, then you can usually minimize the likelihood of being discovered, but you can't reduce the risk to zero.
