I cammed back in 2016 and didn't notice this half as much as I have now. Started camming again around a month ago and I find it crazy the number of guys who think it is an escort service, asking for meets.etc. Does this happen to all camgirls? I just find it so damn weird. There are so many services for that kind of thing so why would they assume just because you get your body out in front of a camera, you are up for so much more?

Not just girls - I'm a 62 year old guy who models, and I've had requests for meets as well. Sometimes from guys who have been in my room a few times, maybe had a couple of privates, then start talking about meeting, and some, even greys, who just come in for the first time and say "Do you meet?" The answer in both cases is "No". I guess some of them assume that because you provide one sort of sexual service (camming) you provide others. If they get persistent (they usually don't) there's always the ban hammer!

My experience has been the opposite. Years ago there were members asking if I’d meet (I remember that “Meet me” raffles were a thing on MyFreeCams back then…I don’t know if they’re still a thing now?), and they’d be disappointed when I told them no, I don’t do that. It’s very rare that I get members asking me that now.

I wouldn't just say this is exclusive to cammodes. I've got friends who do burlesque and they've had countless people ask if they're also escorts.
Jesus I'm pretty certain anyone who is online and considered attractive gets asked this.

It's crazy that after I just posted my above response yesterday, suddenly I have a member asking me if I would ever "fuck a fan." This dude knows me from a few different live cam sites, and should know better than to be asking me some b.s. like that. He must be feeling really bold tonight or something.....

"I understand. Too many crazies out there." Dude, that's not even the point. We aren't on these sites looking to meet and fuck y'all. When I meet men, it's usually at karaoke night...or on dating apps.

I wish these cam site/sexting site members would just chat and jerk off, and stop making shit weird. Lol.

no idea yesterday i had someone say they wanted to have sex with me, i was like NO! he was like take this dick and so on. i again said no, he was like i said yes WTF thats fuckin RAPE! thats one reason why i stopped having sex most guys are assholes. i mean not all but most are. no means no! sorry i am just a emotional person.... i ended up banning him.

Yes. All of the time. Even on SM, which is stricter, and has a box they need to check saying they agree not to ask the performer for any contact info. It's beyond annoying.

Because dudes think just because we do some form of sex work we must be fine with doing full service sex work. No hunny. Sex work is a giant umbrella encompassing a ton of different types. I don't do anything illegal or that would compromise my safety or my custody of my family OR get me banned for violating TOS. You're 2 minute thrill isn't worth the years of work I put into building a following on a site just to get banned.

I've had this happen a bunch. The latest, this morning some gray is being obnoxious about the things he wants to do to me and asks where I live and if I want to me. He offered to give me his number and I dropped the ban hammer.

First of all as a RL sex worker I have found the increasing popularity of using the word 'meet' quite cringy, and I find many who use that word in their contact are very 'casual'. I try to turn the conversation into 'booking' or 'appointment'.

Back to the point I have only been camming for 2 1/2 years, many ask this however many independent (private) cam clients talk about meeting all the time but never even get close to making a booking. Also I am aware of a couple who used the reason of making a RL booking to simply engage me in post cam, unpaid, chat. I was very helpful over a period of time and patient but they just totally took the P.

On the platforms I suspect a mixture of all of the above, and a huge dollop of 'in-the-moment' fantasy. Many probably are on the other side of the world, that is not to say I do not have clients who see me when visiting the UK but I suspect many who say this are not ever going out of their country.

If mentioned on SM I reel off the rules, and if they push then I ask "Why would you threaten my presence here/I have to report you". I also may explain "This site is for camming, it's not a dating site".

In summary I think it's a mixture of wishful thinking, fantasy, a few may be serious but they need to make contact using appropriate channels.

Ive been solicited for sex at a laundry mat when my dryer broke. I've also been solicited for sex when i was getting my oil changed and left my wallet at home.

Honestly i think it's a little bit of trashy men think they can exploit you or someone being flat out ignorant. Most cam active users know you cannot do that because the current laws prevent meetups or know to wait for a private offer. (Not gonna fake that there are cammodels who do escort offsite.)

Since you havent cammed since 2016, there are probably members who see your low camscore or the obvious gap. Once your novelty and camscore raise, im sure you'll get less offers.

Ive been solicited for sex at a laundry mat
First off, that's horrible, but I couldn't help but be reminded of a similar situation a laundry mat owner told me once.

"a customer came in and said he would accept a discounted price for one laundry load if he could have sex with me."
Lots of things wrong here; one of them being that the customer was so deluded that he thought SHE should essentially pay him for the sex.

It's almost hard to believe how bold and disgusting some people are.

Both times it happened i called the police on them immediately. No fucks. The cops in my small town were very eager to approach the men and make them poop their pants.

These dudes obviously were trying to exploit me because they thought i was desperate for money. My thought was if they so easily solicited me, they're are doing it to other women who might be in need. I watched the laundry mat slimeball approach three women before me.

omg one time i was walking down the street and this guy said he wanted me to be his girl friend... and so on. i get scared easy and ran and said i would call cops if he followed me.... he didn't follow me thank god

Yeah totally. It’s always been that way since I’ve been camming.

Whichever scenario it is at any given time always has one thing in common; they are thinking of themselves and what they want, not us. So we have to lay it down to cover our own asses. Because they sure as fuck don’t care if we get fired from a site, or in trouble. It’s just a party to them. Gets to be so tiring and such a bore, dealing with those types.

And, yes, I wouldn’t use the word meet either. Begins the line and boundary blurring right there, with sloppy language. Leading straight to what is, more than likely, more sloppy bullshit. Can you tell I am exacting and have a preference for highly organized people or what?! lol Organization is sexy people!
