It's all about what you feel is right. If you want to charge for viewing cams, you can always try smaller token amounts, to feel out your audience. When I don't feel like watching cams, this is what I do. Video prices vary, I see a lot that are in the 200-300 range, but you can do bundling and say it's 250 a video or 600 for 3. Seems to be a better deal all around. I'm no expert by any means, but I like to dispense my (hopefully not bad) advice whenever I can. :)

Cams only in private unless trusted friend on MFC. Why waste your time on a douche that's not tipping?

If it's a guy that just likes to chill and hang out, fine.

Thing to do is ask what they are willing to pay for the privilege. Double that figure and that's what you tell them. They want to tip 50, you tell them 100. Switch back to their cam and engage a little to test the water. If no bites, minimize and concentrate on your core revenue.

Depending on the video quality and content I charge anywhere from 50 tokens to 350 tokens. :) More hardcore+better quality=higher price. Crappy quality+average content=low price that I pretty much give away.

I want to expand my guide to include this type of information, but unfortunately since you mention BBW I know that's a different market and it might not apply.
However I can say that YES you should charge to view a members cam (as others have stated) with few exceptions. If it's a regular and you've just hanging out, that's fine. But if you're working and it will distract you from the room, CHARGE. I've had models watching me play 360 before or even watch my dog since I've been known to sit around and turn my cam on for no reason while I play games.
In privates it's different, if you don't really want to, charge them extra. If you don't care, throw it in for free.
