Problems with hacking/virus's from mediafire

Ok so I started using mediafire about a week ago, no problems, all was going well, until I sent some videos earlier, the guy tried opening them and apparently got loads of boxes etc hacking him. He eventually gave up and deleted the videos, but afterwards couldn't open any games, couldn't log onto mfc etc, apparently his whole computer was/is fucked.

He's accused me of being a hacker (interesting as it's clear by my profile that even basic html baffles me) and got very angry about it. Annoying as he seemed pretty cool and had given me a thousand token tip first time in the room.

Has anyone else had problems with this/bugs on mediafire?

Also has anyone got some other/better suggestions for linking vids? can't have this happening again

He's either pulling your leg or it wasn't the videos, he just thinks it was

I'm not sure if it's still this way or not but a while ago the advertisements on the mediafire download page looked similar to a button you would click to download the video, only it was for something else.
I didn't experience it directly myself but a member had a similar issue when he clicked on a popup AD instead of the right download link quite some time ago.

should have done this first, sorry. I just tested one of my vid links and the page it goes to no longer has the misleading popup ad... so this is likely not the cause.

I have never had any problems with either a medafire download link from some or anyone getting a virus from a download link I have given them. I have had an free account with them for several years.

I think he's just crazy, kind of funny story actually, he came into my room claiming he's Chad Kroeger, and something about having shares in mfcs, then dropped 1000 tokens, obviously anyone can say that, and I don't give two sods about rock stars, but he seemed friendly enough, and he tipped, so I humoured him, chatted to him a bit and tried sending the videos. He then told me that the videos had screwed with his system etc, said it wasn't my fault etc.

Then suddenly later on he just went crazy on me, started flipping out calling me a hacker, saying I'm 'working for a paper' etc. going on and on about it. Then saying he was going to make sure that myfreecams blocks my account and basically threatening that he's going to make sure I can't even go online anymore.

At this point I wrote to myfreecams explaining as I wanted to basically hear clearly 'yes this guy is crazy' also wrote to mediafire and asked your opinions on here.

Managed to get this guy to calm down and apologise, I'd told him that I'd contacted myfreecams, his answer was "Good, they need to be involved in this, I wasn't going to message them until tomorrow".

Message I got from mfcs in the morning "He is a scammer" Then how to ban.

Makes me interested what kind of person this guy is, as jesus, the amount of info he has about this rock star. I just wonder, is he a normal guy who's just decided he wants to play pretend, or is he actually batshit crazy?

Oh he also tried getting me to go onto yahoo onto the chat, because it was 'safer' I swear I've heard things about yahoo but can't remember them....

As sure as I am that my sexual prowess leaves much to be desired, I am sure this guy is crazy. He clearly wanted to impress you and yet he decides to tell you he's Chadley fucking Kroeger! That's like trying to impress a school room full of kids by trying to convince them you're Noam Chomsky. Kids aren't impressed by Noam Chomsky and fully-functioning adults aren't impressed by Chad Kroeger

And while it's not outside the realms of possibility that (through no fault of your own) he somehow got a virus on his computer as a result of downloading your videos though mediafire, the way he's accused you of being a hacker in addition to "working for a paper" suggests he's a paranoid delusional.

I'm not sure he's a scammer (he hasn't asked for anything yet and so far he's been pretty generous with his tokens) but he definitely sounds insane, yo :?

I wonder how many other models he has tired to pull this stunt on. So far he has threatened to make sure you can’t go on line anymore, tired to trick you into going to another chat service and claimed he got a virus downloading your video. Are his 1,000 tokens really worth the head game?
I would ban him and tell him if he tried to contact you again you will ask MFC to ban him from the site

I think he's clearly obsessed with the guy, it's freaky, he knows all kinds of things about him, it's scary!

I was debating with a few regulars what to do, whether to straight out ban him, or say he can stay as long as he behaves and tips. I'm ill atm, so I'm running on kindness and sympathy tokens, and I'm kind of bored.

I thought I'd wait and see what he said to me. He apologised loads, started going on about how 'steve' his 'manager' was really scared etc. I didn't tell him I knew from mfcs that he was totally bullshitting, just said I was really annoyed that I'm ill and spent last night being verbally abused for no reason, and basically either he can tip or behave, or bugger off.

I've never seen anything like it though, he still was sticking to his 'story', before I saw it as relatively harmless, camsites are often about fantasy... and hey, maybe it was chad kroeger, doesn't make much difference to me! But this doesn't seem like a harmless fantasy.

I think he was trying to get me to meet him, he was going on about getting me tickets for their gig in London, even directing me to their site etc. oh and get this, he'd send his own private jet to come meet me! a cam model who's room he's been in 3 times!

Really fucking creepy, I think after our last conversation where he was bringing it down to drink (but clearly wasn't drunk as perfect spelling/grammar), but still sticking to his story, I'll probably message mfcs more seriously, people who are that crazy can become dangerous, I know he does go in other models rooms, and it scares me a bit wondering about it.

So warnings girls! (not that you majorly need it when a guy says he's some famous rockstar) but ever get this guy, he is off his nut! I've met a few guys who've gone a bit crazy on here, but not as completely mental as he did last night, then the next day, "sorry about that sweetie, I hope you're feeling better, my manager was really scared!"
