If you've been following me on Twitter, the thread title probably tipped you off as to my intentions here--that's right! I'm here to pimp out the ALL-NEW Katie Smartz Variety Blog! I know I'm still technically in my "beta week," when I should be focused on working out logistics, but I think I have all (read: most...maybe?) of that sorted out early, and I'm just really excited about the whole thing, so...here it is!

Okay, I lied, I'm still in beta week. I know I want to run a third weekly column, but I have no idea what it's going to be about. At first I thought it would be something to do with writing, but talking about my own projects seems self-absorbed and discussing writing in general, having not been published yet, would be pretentious. So...I don't know. This is the part where crowd participation would be handy, and everybody gives me suggestions!
...yeah, that was lame. However! Until I do think of a third column to run, there's going to be a bunch of random blog posts with me trying to sort myself out--basically, you can watch me flop around like a fish out of water. At the very least, I know that's something all you sick, sick bastards want to see. *giggles*
