Say it with me now!

It's no secret. Some people are out to ruin anything between our lunches and our lives, just for what we do for work. I've heard of sex workers getting reported to the IRS, and the ongoing drama of people getting cammers banned. Our job has a zero percent morality rate, on average, but people treat us like we killed a loved one. I see a lot of people saying "I don't why they" it's because in a lot of cultures, it's ok to shit on sexy workers, and for some people cam people are more convenient targets.

I'm sure a lot of you know this, and I'm not trying to doomsday anyone. I'm just saying.

Unfortunately, sex workers often attract men who are filled with rage and hatred, and they act out those impulses in very destructive ways. I have lost count of the number of models who trusted new viewers to pay for a show on PayPal, and the viewer's whole strategy was to take down the model by reporting her as a sex worker to PayPal.

Correction: "mortality", not "morality"

"Our job has a zero percent mortality rate, on average, but people treat us like we killed a loved one."

I also spelled "people" wrong in the title.

There a lot of people on both sides using the anomality of the internet to manipulate and abuse others. The only difference is models tend to talk to each other more than members so you hear proportionately more bad models stories than member stories. At the same time never will we know how many members have been taken advantage of by love scams or other forms of manipulations. The shame is that the person often hurt in all these situations are is the person acting the most 'human' in their relationships and ignoring most of the warning signs and advise. It why all these stories sound more tragic.

The other problem is the law isn't on anyone's side when it comes to this industry as a whole. When something does happen no authority cares so the loses are often total for the victims. This allows people that just want to hurt others to insert themselves into the situation and activity hurt everyone for entertainment.

I see what you're saying, but for all the models out there that aren't scamming people(, which I will assume is most of us,) some rando coming to cancel our income is overwhelmingly fucked up. Also, this is about sex work, not just the camming work. I knew someone that did paid dates that got ripped off when they did their "haugty" character, because some Johns think ripping the haughty girl off is rewarding.

There is bad behavior to be found on both sides for sure. If you ask me what is the risk on the viewer side, then for sure many models are dishonest, in both small and big ways. Getting ripped off is a real issue.

But I was not talking about bad behavior in general. I was focusing on the whole issue with men who hate women and put them down. Those types of men are strongly attracted to porn and also to real-life prostitutes. Guys who are physically and emotionally abusive are a major problem for sex workers. So if you are a real-life prostitute, you have a serious risk of being beaten up and emotionally abused by customers all the time. One of the advantages of webcam work is that models can just kick those kinds of abusive guys out of the room without needing to employ a 250 pound pimp to do the work. :)

So, to the original poster's point: I would agree that there is a class of viewers on these sites who like to hurt women, and they are looking actively for any way to do that.
