I have to admit, her name did not sound familiar. I looked her up on imdb, and I mostly recognized animated stuff that she probably did voice acting for. I liked everything I recognized her, and so realize that this is indeed a loss for the world.

I wasn't expecting you kids to know her, but I i do from when I was younger. She was very funny, and her jokes where never cruel.

Indeed a great loss.... I would also be surprised if many here even had a clue who she was... [besides us older folks that is.] I don't think shes done much other than voice overs and the occasional guest shot for maybe the last 20 years. She was quite the entertainer back in her day. It was humor with class and not the foul shit so many fine necessary it the current breed of comedian. RIP funny lady.

:text-yeahthat: ^^^^ very strong character. I don't imagine she was very often heckled.

I used to stay up late when I was a kid watching old re-runs and things and there was always some comedy thing featuring Phyllis Diller. She was so over-the-top with her performances that I could never look away. Amazing comedian.

You could often catch her on Johnny Carson & I believe she did a lot night club gigs where her routines were not quite as tame. She reminded me a lot of Mae West with her wit.

Thanks for the laughs and memories Phyllis you will be missed :)
