I am a few months in on being a cam model and i have experienced 2 situations that I am just not sure if its a good idea or not (probably not a good idea). My third time online a viewer asked if the could be my moderator for like 6-months, i said “sure!”. I made him my mod and he suggested i get snapchat so i did. I literally knew nothing about snapchat and still dont fully know how it works. I started receiving nude picks and was asked to send nudes in return and i did. I later learned that nudity is not allowed on snap. Basically he wanted all of my attention on and offline and then he inquired about me giving him 50 tks/hr. I banned him.

Second situation a viewer was asking me to do things i have never done before and i have an open mind so i gave it a shot and i made a lot more tokens in that session from other tippers. The viewer inquired about skyp and again im like “sure” he said he represtented a group of over 400+members that tip well for the best submissive models. Since i learned so much i figured as long as im learning new stuff i dont care about compensation. The first time i was told if i “pass” 5 tests i would get into the group, then in skype it turned into “5-levels”. Lol i feel kinda stupid, but i have learned a lot. I have had 3 skypes.
Basically has anyone experienced this situation? I had fun and i want to learn more, but its not financially feesable or fair to the viewers that actually tip me. Any advice?

He should be paying to be on your Snapchat. Set your Story to friends only, then only add people to your friend list after they've tipped for whatever price you require. If you have your story set to Friends only, the only way you'd get suspended on Snapchat is if someone reports you. So keep your username a secret, only giving it to those who tip for it.

You should always care about compensation. And people who promise stuff like that guy are always scammers.

If it is worth it to you to give free sessions in exchange for learning, OK. But don't go on with it if you think it will get you access to the alleged group that tips heavily. This sounds very suspicious. If they are generous tippers, he would tip generously for these "tests." I suggest you ask for some very solid confirmation that the group exists. Ask for the names of models who get visited by group members so you can contact them and confirm.

It's a good thing to have fun in your job :) But it's like in any job, GET PAID even if you think that your a beginner.
Just ensure that your customers are aware of it and agree the prices.
Don't worry, a lot appreciate a little clumsiness or shyness of the 1st time, you can also play with this.
I don't know well sub/master relations, but I figure that a master can really enjoy a lot turning you into sub.

Then, it's never forbidden (like in any job too) to offer gifts to nice regulars (a nice one will never ask you any act for free or discuss the price).
When you'll find a nice one, you can mod him (or her).
(a good mod will rarely ask you to be mod but help you in spoting dumbs and scammers.)

Always get paid first. Members offering advice in exchange for anything from you prey on newer models to get off for free. We've all been there so in no way should you feel bad. Def put in research here and learn from your own research. What one member likes and gets off to will be different from the next so catering to one guy who isn't even paying will give you great ideas on how to make him happy but not much to help you build a following with multiple people who are happy to compensate you for what they want.

I don't use Snapchat so I'm not up to date on any newer updates on the app but please research it here at the very least. Snapchat has many features that will track your location and makes it very easy for anyone following you to get. You may already know about all of this but since you said you are new to it I wanted to mention it.

Don't throw your self worth under the bus in favor of his "free" services. He gets what he wants out of you while you have no guarantee this "group" even exists. Sounds to me that he is making false promises to get what he wants and then at the end he can just disappear, say "you just aren't right for the group" or he needs even more from you before he can give you what he's promised.

This is only my experience, and I do not speak for all models who do fetish. When I started camming I did only submissive stuff, as that is what I knew the most through personal kinks and life experience. On the internet, it seems that many men equate submissive with lesser intelligence (again, not all men, I had quite a few lovely lovely doms who I did great shows with, but the jerks totally out numbered them). I had so many occasions where men tried to use my submissive kink against me in order to gain more access to me, pay less for my time, scam shows, get free content etc. For me personally, it opened the door to a lot of creeps that i had to be smart about and filter out. If you want to learn stuff, you can do it on your own. I taught myself a ton of bondage through online tutorials and even porn sites. I learned about fetishes by reading literotica, porn, and even some social media like ig. If you are having fun and feel like the skype shows are beneficial, hell yeah. But I would say take everything with a healthy dose of suspicion. Never ever feel bad for saying no, setting boundaries, or requiring compensation.

Ty so much for the information regarding both situations.

Why is it that I picture these guys pulling this sketchy skeevy shit, then running back to some PUA subreddit to brag about it?

Ty, i really like the point you made about catering to what someone likes and doesnt pay vs. Catering to customers that are paying. Im assuming there is no group

First of all... I want to reassure you that following your instincts is never a bad idea. If you're wondering whether something is a good idea or not... Chances are, that's your instincts telling you it isn't. And that's a sense that you should definitely honor, and try to sharpen. Because you're going to get a TON of people trying to take advantage of you or put you in silly situations, and they can seem so charismatic while doing so. But your instincts are so valuable, and I've learned to listen to mine.

For the first situation... It sounds like you wisened up very quickly. People should always pay for your nudes AND your attention, because your time is money. Giving away attention for free is actually taking away time you could be spending on paying customers - so don't feel bad about banning him. DEFINITELY don't pay members, especially ones that are actively preventing you from making money and trying to take advantage of you. Because asking for nudes/time/attention for free is taking advantage, and it is a common tactic to try on newer models who are still trusting of most members.

Second situation... "I don't care about compensation." You should care about compensation, and it's okay to care about it, and expect it. This is your job now, and just because you are still learning the ropes, it doesn't mean you don't deserve to get paid. This member is getting free attention. and has a professional model bending over to complete the tasks he is dreaming up. I PROMISE, he is definitely getting off in all sorts of ways, making you jump through hoops. If this group does exist (and that's a big IF), I'm sure the other people within are getting off too, knowing how many hoops you are trying to jump through in order to join their "elite" club. It's BS, all of it. You may be learning, but you are still fulfilling this person's exact fantasies. You might even be fulfilling the fantasies of dozens, even hundreds of others. He is getting off on you, and therefore, you deserve to be compensated. Again, I feel like this dude is trying to take advantage of you.

A good rule of thumb to follow is, "Is this person getting his fantasies fulfilled right now? Am I personally taking the one-on-one time to turn him on, whether it's via assignments/nudity/personal attention?" If the answer is yes, then you deserve to be paid for your work. Heck, I'd argue that ANY personal attention should be paid for, but then, I come from a Femdom background, so I might be a little biased with my expectations. But I believe that those who are worthy of your time and attention already know that you are worth paying. And they will show it with their actions.

But seriously, there are SO SO SO many vulture-dudes out there, who keep a predatory eye out for newer models, trying to take advantage of their trusting natures. And I think that actually goes double for the submissive-models. They see that natural desire to please that many submissives have, and those predatory dudes try to use that to get what they want for free. You genuinely wish to learn, to grow as a model. You want to please your clients. But that doesn't mean you deserve to be taken advantage of. You deserve to be paid for your time. You deserve to be paid for your nudes. You deserve to be paid for any assignments/tasks you are given. And unfortunately, you are going to have to learn to demand it. Because there are so many people who won't want to pay what you are worth, who try to talk you down, try to haggle, try to make you feel guilty for wanting to be compensated. You've got to learn that it is okay to stand up for yourself and it's okay to ask for what you deserve - otherwise, you're going to get taken advantage of over and over and over again.

I highly advise against relying on members to educate you in ANY aspect of this business, unless they have their own legit webcam experience to back it up. Because 99.99 percent of the time, their "education" involves them getting free wank-material/free attention, and more likely than not, will just give you the wrong advice anyways. Models are a much better resource to learn from! If you want to learn, feel free to ask questions in these forums. There are SO MANY models who don't mind giving advice, helping answer any questions you might have - and for free, too. Models who won't be getting off on your newness, who won't try to take advantage of your trust, models who genuinely want to see you succeed for your own sake.

fetlife is a good site to learn waaaaayyyyyy more about submission or any kinks then you would ever like to know. you are also more likely to find someone there who actually knows what they are doing, "online doms" who hang out at paysites, usually dont and i guess it is beneficial if one of you knows where its going ;)

No one should do their job for free. Not to learn. You're going to learn on the job at any job. Probably also don't take advice from anyone who suggests you give them stuff for free.

Subbing on cam is hard because lots of people trying BDSM on cam know absolute shit about it. I switch IRL, but I won't on cam.

Guys think submissives should listen no matter what. I'm also the type of submissive that do not like being called names or humiliation. I dont handle it well, and these douchebag Dom's would never respect my limits and boundaries. It has been 6 years and I don't regret that choice.

The last time I switched on cam a dude pulled a full on rape fantasy when it was supposed to be spanks. It was hella traumatic because of my past. Dude told me "shut up you dumb slut, you can't stop me from raping you."

If any dude shows up on cam to offer you help, don't take it. These dudes are only out for themselves and will sabotage you. Intentionally or not.
