Hello everyone, so I decided to just do a search of my username on google and a few web pages down I found a site call "Webcam Archive" that has been recording my public sessions and posting it to their website for people to buy... They have been recording a bunch of girls from MyFreeCams, Chaterbate, and such. I clicked the "Request Removal" and "Report as Copyright Notice" but I'm not sure if it actually does anything cause it didn't do anything afterward. I hope that it takes down my videos. But I am just letting girls who don't know, and warn them that people DO record you. And it is the sad fact of being a cam model.

you WILL be recorded if you cam. it WILL be posted to other sites. pretty sure most of the sticky threads/all "new model need tips" threads say this. all you can do is file a DMCA complaint. I'm not sure but you might also be able to contact he site you work for?

On a brighter note, there was a site that was putting up loads of public sessions for free, not even requiring a premium Upstore account. Looks like it's gone the way of the dire wolf...

I wouldn't post the names of such sites out here in public, a whole bunch of guys now know where to look!! Join the model's only section x
I have known about such sites for a while but I just would not use them. I have some scruples :)

If they were interested in finding recordings of camgirls, they already knew where to look. A simple google search would have led to dozens (if not hundreds) of results. It's not news or a big secret to anyone out here in the public section.

It's part of the business when you decide to be a cam girl unfortunately. When I first found myself through a Google search I hyperventilated for a good 5 minutes and frantically searched every avenue to get it removed. You could file a DMCA but thats about it. I look at it as free advertising now LOL

I don't allow direct links to such sites, but mentioning them is fine. It's part of life in the camming community. To pretend like they don't exist is a bit silly.

That said, when newbies come along and post about them as if it's a new concept I do giggle a little to myself. It is absolutely more heavily discussed in the models only section and not so much in the public areas, so some people may think we don't already know what's going on out there in the stream-capping world.

This type of site is never nice, leaching off others work and others spending. Hopefully each model gains a little traffic and any dcma requests proceed stress free.
Luckily this site is not designed to be malicious or personal, those can be a real pain to deal with.

Question, do any models here ever try to chase the source of the recordings, or is it just not worth the time?

I think the consensus is that the majority of recordings are from guest accounts or bots.

i found all my cam shows on this website too unfortunately not exactly sure how to send a dmc thing but im going to try

Was it a recorded cam show? What site was it stolen from? That site might send takedown requests on your behalf. I see MFC on your profile sidebar thing. If it's a recorded MFC video, MFC will send takedown requests on your behalf.

If it's something different, if you've got a good friend, I'd suggest giving them the right to submit requests on your behalf. This keeps your real name and personal information being included on the takedown request.

I am providing value-added DMCA monitoring and takedown for studio models. I also have agreements with a grip of networks so that I can offer 100% payouts (models would make just as much as performing independently). Most of them are with clip selling sites. Only need one studio agreement in order to take advantage of all the services offered. Don't have any shady no-compete language in the model agreement and encourage models to perform independently on the networks when/if the studio agreement doesn't make sense. Still very much in POC (just filed and finally got all documents back from lawyers) but for all intents and purposes we've got everything needed for the ribbon-cutting. Feel free to holler at me about that. DMCA512 is who we're using. Got the same deal going that Clips4Sale is rocking.

An Annon sect needs to just launch an op against all these sites. Betcha it'd be more effective than DMCA. DDOS, defacing, so on. If nothing else, 5xx errors crash a sites search rankings and makes them invest in Cloudflare.

They already use Cloudflare. I know because I fuck with them daily by asking Cloudflare for their hosting provider and if they are hosted on an american server, I send them DMCAs, Cease & Desist letters, etc. Most of them are hosted on bulletproof servers in Russia or Panama though.

Russia has lax copyright laws.

Find out the country and send both a DMCA and 2257 complaint to the embassy.

Most of them record use software or script that can record without permission and they sell it the video. Dcma is useless, why dont try to think CB and their affiliates try to make money with it ?

I've stumbled over recording posted on porn sites before. Honestly recordings of cam girls are really boring. It's like an hour of some one hanging around topless asking for tips. Compared to most of the content on a porn site; it's rather tame.

The value of of a cam site is that it's interactive. You can tip, you can talk. If your a regular with some one; they know your screen name. Ive tipped for video before; I never watch them.

For whatever reason, I don't care too much about stream recordings. If someone posts my videos I'll go after them with all kinds of fury, but cam rips seem to cater towards the type of audience that wouldn't consider paying me anything in the first place. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I just can't get too mad about someone recording something I put out there for free, even if they're earning a few cents for being a file host affiliate. Or it's something I tell myself because I know that 95%+ of the time, it's not worth my time to go after some foreign website host :meh:

That's sort of how I approach it too. There are a couple kinds of audiences that I think find themselves looking at cam show recordings: ones that are only out for free stuff and would never have dropped $ at the cam site to tip you in the first place, and those who stumble across them while browsing innocently* through other free porn on the web, and may end up being interested enough in you seeing your capped show to come find and tip/spend time with you on the cam site. Either way, I don't feel I am losing out on money by these shows being up.

I know there are recordings of my actual videos I sell too, but same sort of mindset goes for that, IMO. I've only requested removal for a tiny handful of postings in my 7 years camming. Tons of people still buy my videos, I'm doing fine.

I think live cam shows are alluring because of the live interaction aspect. Our core market likely doesn't care as much about recorded shows where you can't even see the chat to understand what she's talking about or what she's reacting to.

*To clarify, yes there are soooo many people out there who are not the absolute devil who enjoy their share of free porn along with paying for some of it. This is the way the world works.

That's what happened to me XD
Yeah it definitely happens, people who have joined my room have said literally that they found a certain video of mine on some site, then they come and tip me for it. It's cool!
