I have been considering starting an account with MFC, but I have been hesitant after hearing some rumors. Now I am not here to spread the rumors or say anything negative about MFC. This could have started from been an angry and jealous models that couldn't make it on MFC. The rumors could be true. I came here to hopefully get some answers and some logic into this issue. Also to hopefully help other models like me who are unsure of these rumors.

There are multiple rumors that are going around about MFC, but the one that I am focused on is that MFC will cater to top models more than they do other models (even some of the new ones). It's the only rumor that I can't really get an answer on and it's the one I see everywhere. The models that claim this rumor to be true have some out there explanations on why this is true, but some of them have valid points. The points are where is their money coming from and how is their cam scores so high?

So I took a look into this and I am asking myself the same thing. Where is their money coming from? I watch the top models on MFC and they are not doing much of anything. Not only that they are barley getting any tips in their chatrooms. A lot of them also don't do privates and barley do club shows. They can be on for long hours and their cam scores barley move. Some of them have crazy high cam scores. Then there are the new models who are getting a lot of tips in chat and going into privates with their cam scores barley going up or it drops. Even the ones who have done very well with their new models tags seem to fall off so easily.

I heard some nasty thing MFC models have done to other models. That they have made threats to leave MFC if they do not cater to them or some of them are using a third party to help boost them on MFC (like how some instagram models buy followers). I heard this is also why some top models have left or planning on leaving. They state the MFC is not the same of what it used to be and that they do not want to play that game with them. Or it may not be the reason. Since certain platforms like OF has come around that models have taken a new opportunity. There could be many reasons on why they left.

Part of the reason why I bring this issue up is because now these rumors are starting with Chaturbate. Models have talked so positive about Chaturbate in the past, but over the past year it has gotten a lot of negative feedback from models. Especially the ones who have started brand new on Chaturbate. These models also think that Chaturbate is catering to certain models for other reason that what they claim with MFC.

I haven't modeled on MFC so I don't know much about how the site works. The way their top models make money could be obvious and I just don't see it so hopefully someone who can clarify it for me. To maybe squash the rumors if they are not true. Thank you!

Hmmm I mean I think this is complex.

Just like any site - they are going to treat their golden goose models with a certain level of support and leniency. I’ve definitely seen Leo and Alex bending over backwards did their stars over the decades.. and there’s always been rumors about who is fucking who etc..

As far as goes top top models make their money the answer is often whales. I never was a top top model on mfc but I was top 100 a fair few times and I always relied on hype + a few whales who were dedicated to helping me that month. Those relationships continued off camera - they got special treatment, texting, Skype etc etc.

I’ve known top models who were doing sugar daddy type situations with their whales.. but that’s far from the only way they make money.
There are ways to buy traffic - but these exist on most cam sites. There also is model nastiness, and self tipping and drama and all that shit.

And it’s very true mfc has changed over the years.

Ultimately though - these things won’t make or break your success on the site. So I wouldn’t let that stop you from trying it.

As far as cam score I know @AmberCutie uaed to track this closely but there is a basic algorithm that hasn’t changed much so I don’t think anyone is fucking with that.
One thing to remember is that single huge tips that you may not have seen will make a cs go very high, also offline tips or invisible tips. I remember pushing offline tipping a lot - selling videos, Skype, raffles etc..

So yeah I dunno. I wouldn’t let it put you off.

One thing to know regarding Onlyfans - the order of mfc also owns Onlyfans. Just .. so you know

I’m not a top model on mfc or anywhere top tier, (never have been there) or anything like that. But I would say a lot of the tips I do get are offline, or not visible.

I think it’s human nature to have favorites. I think all the sites are going to somewhat favor their top models, socially, especially those who maybe treat support and staff the nicest. But favoring certain people social and having different rules for them at work, are two very separate things.

That’s just my theory though. It would be a shame if cam score wasn’t based on the same algorithm for everyone, and I’d be genuinely surprised if it wasn’t.

With all the glitches all of these amateur adult sites have, I’d really wonder how the devs would even manage having different algorithms for different people. Seems like something that could set off problems in the programming, and get very difficult to manage. Plus I would imagine that would become public fast, if it were happening, because disgruntled ex employees would talk about it openly, as revenge. Right?

ETA: and if we’re talking about orders I’ll have a half stack of pancakes and a latte STAT please lol (just joking around).

TBH to me this sounds like it's just people making excuses for why someone else is doing better than they are. I hear it a lot from models I know who think they do better shows than x but x has more traffic and makes more tokens because they are escorting and meeting members (usually not true, they just need that excuse for them to be able to tell themselves the problem isnt with them / their shows/ the amount of work they are putting in).

IMO when it comes to top models generally when they are online you are only seeing a small % of the work that they do to keep their room a top room, you dont see the hours spent planning out shows, marketing and building a fanbase off the site, time spent messaging with members to keep them involved and turning up show after show. Not saying all top models do all of this but I would bet that most do at least some of it and others more.

I am far from a top model, but I also know that I dont do the work to make me a top model. If I suddenly went to position 1 on the homepage I doubt I would earn more than I normally do and would quickly find myself back to my usual ranking, the placement algorithm as much as it sucks to be on the shit end of it is generally pretty good on all sites, they promote the rooms are drawing and audience and getting members to spend money. The hard part is when you fall past a certain point it becomes incredibly hard to work your way back up

The models who hang out in other models rooms obsessively are never happy. It never brings anything good. I agree. I've had to deal with hearing "venting" fall out from it forever (from so, so many different directions), it always brings issues of comparing bodies, comparing incomes, comparing placements... I don't understand where anyone finds the time to do this? But so, SO many do! No wonder a lot of these companies aren't policing their own sites; they don't have to. The models are doing it for them, for ABSOLUTELY free, on their own time???????????????. It's mental! The companies must be loving it! Why would they ever bother hiring more compliance people to police the site?

ETA; It seems to always bear conspiracy theories too. Every. single. time.

Yeah I think thats what I was really trying to get at.

YES. there's model drama, yes there might be some gaming the system, yes the sites are all shitty and stuff.. I mean I've seen some FUCKED up situations at conventions over the years... like as a fly on the wall.

But... it never impacted me? Like.. just stay in your lane and focus on your bag.

The only times model drama impacted me was when I let it happen... through bad boundaries or what not.
I still did well on MFC. Not everyone will and that's ok too.. it doesn't mean they're bad models just that MFC's specific site may not be a good fit. TBH it's no longer the right fit for me..

you dont know what goes behind the scene and who is getting private tips and making sales in their model store. those top models didn't magically get there overnight. they spent a good amount of time building up their camscore/reputation/audience/ect. so them appearing as if they are "doing nothing" is the reward for their hardwork, consistency, and luck. lets not invalidate their success.

honestly, the best thing to do as a model is stop paying attention to other models. focus on your room, your traffic, and your camscore. you may be geeking yourself out and may have a rewarding experience by paying attention to rumors and gossip. if you wanna try out the site, do it. what's the worse that can happen? you make $0? you are already making $0 by not streaming on mfc, so might as well try it out. not everyone is gonna have a positive experience, and that's okay. this industry is pretty volitile with a high new model turnover rate. sometimes it takes a while to find a site that you like and feel secure with.

Praise the Lord someone said this publically! A lot of models, who have not been consistent, and haven’t followed the advice of the vet models, will say things like oh, “it really just takes luck to do well as a cam model”. And although there is an element of luck; I have always found that really insulting. Yeah all our hard work over the years meant absolutely nothing.

There is definitely an element of luck. But a lot of models have been doing this for a while (myself included), have been working their asses off for years too.

The amount of behind the scenes, non live work, has been insane. And I think that some models that have done that, and have reaped success from that, deserve to Pat themselves on the back for their hard work. And celebrate it, being proud of themselves. Rather than being told that they “got lucky”. It’s complicated though.

Sure there is some luck, but we showed up consistently, and made smart business and marketing decisions too. And that does deserve to be validated. Rather than dismissed or glossed over and attributed to 100% luck.

People wonder all the time how I make the money I do with the way I run my room. I've always hated the phrase perception is reality because your perception is not actually my reality. Nor is my perception of someone else their reality. They could have planned a huge get together with their fans that you didn't see where it was advertised for months. Or just have some really gracious whales, or been on the site for a while and earned their way into a more relaxed show style.

I remember talking to a model not too long ago about something with equipment and she slipped out "well if you're just going to sit there, this isn't for you." That told me two things -- she's never seen the meat of my shows and she's only visited when it was dead in the room. I don't work for free, that includes standing/dancing/teasing. Does she do more physical work than I do? Absolutely. She chose to do that, I choose not to do that but I still earn every nickel I make by working the room.

Perception is not reality. There is drama no matter which corner of the internet you decide to take up space in, I avoid it by not going to conventions, not hanging out in model rooms and not letting broadcasters chat in my room. Over time you learn where YOUR strengths are and everyone else becomes a blur in the distance.

I am not a model- just a user of MFC and I do not know about the behind the scenes stuff. But from the user side, several top models have been camming 10 years or more so I see lots of their audience have become a community basically- the users reminisce amongst each other and appear to consistently connect for their model’s hours- you do not see them in other models rooms- some even have their user identity and name tied to that model- like AmberSlave for example. But definitely the huge tippers help these models a lot- have seen users tip 200000 for their favorite model finishes #1 for their birthday month. You are correct that there are very few or no private shows and limited nudity also. Since the big tippers exist, they don’t need to do it and still remain high ranking each month— one thing I have noticed as an user is the high number of users in the disgusting area called the MFC lounge (you can go to the lounge after spending a certain amount of tokens- the lowest lounge is full of pathetic users talking horribly about models) When there is any sexual type show happening with the top models- the lounge alerts everyone there to go to those model rooms so it drives up traffic -thereby leaving model rooms which forces a model to keep working longer hours waiting for more traffic. So, there very possibly is some manipulation but I don’t know specifics. Top models not needing to work long hours helps their cam scores as they get the biggest tips also. I think it would help to avoid looking at their numbers and build your community over time. That is much easier to write as a user than live it as a model for sure.

I just want to make it clear that I wasn't trying to talk badly about the top models on MFC. That wasn't the point I was trying to get across. It was just an observation that I made when visiting the MFC site. What I noticed that was different about MFC compared to the other sites is that the models on MFC sit around and chill. Other models on other sites tend to be doing other things in their room other than sitting around. I just noticed that a lot of models on MFC do that. This made me curious on how they made money. I didn't know if there was a different ways that MFC provides for models to earn money than what other sites have to offer. Yes I did watch the models on MFC the other day. This is something I like to do before signing up to get and idea of the site. I heard of the rumors and wanted to some logic answers. I'm sorry if I offended anyone by my post. My goal in this was not to get people fired up 😥

We always fired up around here lol you’re all good!

I think what you’re describing is that you’re observing a different kind of “culture” on mfc. Mfc is a much more social beast than other sites .. I’m generalizing but community building especially in top rooms is a key factor and then competition generating between those community members. And also relationship building with whales which may look like just sitting around - often times that’s a lot of dming, or offline attention etc. countdowns are also a thing in mfc where you sit and wait till your goal is met to do the show so there may be LONG periods of less activity more just chat.

Obviously lots of generalizing but yeah - I’m general mfc has a social/community vibe so it’s beneficial to sit and chat and hang out with a room full of chatters

Another factor is that on a site like CB the model placement is influenced by # of (tokened) viewers, which usually means that rooms that are very active are more visible than those who "sit around" (unless the model has build up a room of viewers who are conditioned to stick around through that, which there definitely are also some who are succesful that way just less %). This also means that this placement for a lot of models punishes things like breaks or lulls in the stream (or just waiting till a goal has been hit).

On MFC placement is (as far as I know?) impacted by tokens received which includes offline tips, so hanging out when tokens flow for a goal (or have already came in offline) is more forgiving on MFC. Granted that you do need people who are actively tipping you because sitting around with no tokens coming in is detrimental there VS on CB where no tokens coming in isn't directly impacting placement. Since MFC has ninja tips and offline tips that aren't visible in the room you won't know what's exactly going on in the token front as a casual viewer.

I didn’t find your post offensive. I kind of segued from it, off into other stuff, that wasn’t based off of just your post and just what you were saying. Sorry if that wasn’t clear, and it seemed like that was aimed negatively at you. My mind kind of jumps around a lot, and I don’t always put stuff into words the best.

Also side note; what are we meaning by “active” on CB (in this conversation) I took it literally as the model physically moving around, but I think I’m misunderstanding? Because it could also mean active as in running activities and games, or active as in members tipping small amounts frequently. So I’ve gotten myself confused, and I’m curious .

Hey! Active MFC midtier model here!!!

Some insight from my experiences---

Luck, you have to be there to get lucky with a big tip. The longer and more often you're there the more chances to have such luck.

ALL my biggest tips were legit just tips, not purchases. Some were ninja tips, one was during a pvt with someone else (was hilarious).

MFC is kind oof different to other sites in that a large portion of it's members and models treat it as a chat forum with faps, sitting there like an SFW streamer is absolutely common and I do it myself most streams.

Some of my highest paying streams I didn't even get naked! (Ninja tips dont count towards countdowns)

Favouritism, honestly Leo doesn't have the emotional investment in the top #100 models that a superfan with a similar net worth does...that's who is keeping these girls at the top. Some people really do see $5000+ as chump change and will just put that or more through as an offline "rank boost" for their favourite girl/s.

Very occasionally a new model will go straight to the top, but 99.999% of the top models have been consistently showing up since long before I started 4yrs ago (I took a massive break and am still getting back to where I was on there...it takes consistency)

----------

Don't let rumours that don't add up dissuade you.
Rumours about tech issues or similar are way more important IMO

There's lots of money to be made, it's more about finding the right site for your personality.
