I found this forum, as many out there most likely have, by googling "xyzsitename banned me for no reason".

I was filled with panic and dread. It was probably the most anxiety I have experienced in one night in at least 10 years. I freaked out, bad.

So I came here reading through many posts, it looked like a grim situation. The Google search mentioned am employee of CB trying to help people with bans. I figured I would give it a shot, need be. I came off as a venting, typical, banzo. You guys must have been rolling your eyes pretty hard. Sorry for that.

But wow is it friggin cool that you even bothered engaging in my thread. So it hit me, I have been camming for a long time, maybe I can give advice to any guys out there trying to navigate the webcam world. It is definitely a difficult space to navigate, but I have managed to be pretty successful over the years (with an extreme learning curve / affordablility of new technology of course).

In any case, thanks for putting up with me. This is definitely a cool place and I really do need to get out of my shell a little and be more of a part of the community. ANNNND I can keep up with any changes in a certain sites TOS in the future and avoid being randomly banned again!

Update: I'm enjoying the forum a LOT! The nature of my modeling is something that I keep on the very downlow. So it can feel very isolated and lonely, not having anyone to talk to about camming. And trying to figure out updates and changes in this industry and technology can be challenging on your own.

So I've not really branched out much from CB. I tried using Twitter to promote / communicate, it didn't really work. I've tried promoting in other places as well but just decided to keep my foot print small, then I googled my screen name and saw a lot of my stuff was pirated with 10s of 1000s of views. So then it's just like ok it's out there so fuck it then. So joining this forum feels like the luckiest accident I've had in a while!

Best way to think about it imo, The piracy sites obviously need money to operate so while people like to say "once its online it's always there" its more like "once it's online it's there until there's no longer enough interest to keep it there". whether it all disappears 1 year after you stop or 10 all depends on how many people are looking for it, eventually though whatever content of yours is out there will eventually get replaced with someone newer who makes those sites more money.

You're right, there definitely seems like an ebb and flow to it. Seeing it definitely pursuaded me to allow private recordings on my stream. If there is a demand for it, I mine as well be capitalizing on it too.

I have recordings on and when someone goes "can you do pvt a bit lower" I'll offer them a slightly lower price in exchange for turning the recording off, if you had it off before you can also do it the other way and use it as an up sell.

agreed. I had another camming username prior to stormythunder back when it was just a fun little hobby and not something I was considering as a full time gig. All the stream recordings from that old username are gone and it hasn't even been ten years. Probably more like. 6 years now.

I feel the same way about this site. I also think with any web forum you involve yourself in that it's good to give as much as you take so I try to be supportive myself, and help out where I can. I'm far behind in knowledge compared to people like Amber and KingMarti but we all have something to offer, and the more quality postings exist, the more the forum stays alive. I kinda miss when the internet was mostly private forums.

I've been doing it for a long time, so I have some insights myself to share.

But I've never had anyone to talk to about stuff. Like OBS, wow learning curve there. I probably had an entire bad year awhile back because I wasn't set up properly. There was a few times that I almost reached out to models that I've watched to ask them how they do certain things, I always decided not bug them. I've also seen some models doing things wrong and getting frustrated, I also decided not to bug them. Shoptalk doesn't feel appropriate in cam rooms.

Now I feel like the bumble bee girl from blind lemons "no rain" video. I found cool people to talk shop with!

I don't get a ton of private requests, I like to stay in my room. But I will do them and they are usually fun. Had some people try to cheap me out before when things were slow. Hasn't happened often lately.

Iinitially didn't allow recording and some people got vocally mad about it, then I saw the piracy. I hate checking the piracy, gives me anxiety. Took a look last night and there is vastly less then there was last time I checked a few years ago, so your right, it must get cycled through, or sites go down then new ones pop up. I cam much more sporadically now that I use a machine vs. lush (last 5 years). I'm at the mercy of my digestive system now, so maybe that plays a factor, the amount of time I spend streaming? Lots of variables to that I guess.

I know how I feel about the privates I myself have collected of other models. To me they are the greatest porn videos I will ever have access to. Because they are intimate (c2c) and totally just mine. No one else in the world will ever get to see them. Some of them aren't even super explicit but they still turn me on a LOT because of the intimate experience.

I'm not much of a repeat porn watcher, I usually have to switch it up, find something different. My private collection seems to be immune to that rule, I can always fall back on it if I'm not finding something I like.
