    The Glamorization of Murder

I didn't mention "the wealthy country thing". High-income countries were compared in the study I mentioned. As for my "perception that the average American is more likely to be shot", when I read stuff it certainly seems that way. And like I said before, the things I have read will likely be...

    The Glamorization of Murder

Oops! Typo with too many negatives. Meant to say, I get the feeling that this is not where the conversation wants to go. You know what I mean, right?

    The Glamorization of Murder

The study I referred to was looking at national averages, so they are comparing differences between countries not cities. Anyway, my point is that stats can be used in misleading ways on either side of the argument. So while it's tempting to get into a debate using stats, I'm not invested enough...

    The Glamorization of Murder

Most of these facts above do not differentiate "violent crime" from gun-related crimes. That seems problematic. In any case, it is true there are so many statistics out there that contradict each other. Data is often flawed or difficult to compare and it is easy to skew stats to fit one argument...

    The Glamorization of Murder

You say that gun ownership is a human right, but you do not explain why. I see it as a privilege. But, my point is not so much whether or not it is a human right. I just thought it is interesting to compare the differences in these two places because in Canada guns are not such a hotly debated...

    The Glamorization of Murder

Also want to add that I don't mean to be smug or condescending to Americans. There are so many things about the States are so excellent. Canada has some major issue, but at least we finally ditched Harper for a handsome queer friendly guy...

    The Glamorization of Murder

Guys, I live in Canada. We have strict gun control laws. Gun violence still happens but to a MUCH LESS extent. Our most busiest cities are so safe. And we're not the only country where this is the case. The States seems to have a big group of people that supports the culture of guns, that...

    Daily Thoughts

I don't know what kind of situation your friend is dealing with, but I do know that it is most certainly painful to sit by as someone you care about is going through something hard while you feel helpless. I have been that friend who people don't know how to help, mostly related to trauma...

    Katsumichann.... whorenickels

I agree that boycotting as a form of protest is pretty useless in general. I guess one of the things that gets to me about this is being confronted with feeling powerless to do anything of meaning in the face of blatant racism and a company that condones it by allowing it to happen. So then I...

    Katsumichann.... whorenickels

For me, the show that was done with a tip war between beating or not beating a POC and the way it was executed is unquestionably racist, and this is something I am just not interested in debating. If you disagree with me, feel free to ignore my post. I would like to talk about this on grounds...

    TAXES CANADA

Minnie! Thank you for such good info. What about filing taxes in the US? I am under the impression that if you are Canadian and living in Canada, making USD and being paid by a US company, even if you are not a US citizen, you are supposed to file taxes in the US too. I have a feeling I need...

Who the F*$%# are you?! Introduce yourself here.

Hi everybody! I have been camming on CB for almost a year and am working on setting myself up on MFC and AmatuerPorn. I could use all the advice and support I can get. And I'd love to help anyone out in return if I can.
