    I'm not sure about this option. I think it provides power for longer periods, but how long I do not know. I used to work for a portrait company and our cameras were 'tethered' to the mains. The problem was, the connections weakened with the movement of the cameras and eventually failed.

If you worked before with a crop canon camera, the 50mm lens would effectively become a 70(ish)mm lens, which is too long...
