*sexual trigger warning* Why would a woman live here?

The US and other western countries do business with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and other Middle Eastern countries with abominable human rights records because of one thing. Money. More specifically, oil money. It just serves to highlight the hypocrisy that saw Saddam and...

UK to block internet pornography by default

Silly season political posturing. I'd be very surprised if anything came of it at all.

    "A butt load of drugs"

I've had a couple of caramellos of hash which were smuggled from Morocco in someone's stomach or up someone's bum. Smelt pretty rank. I was advised to sit it on top of the heater to get rid of the smell of poop. Ugh. Only a partial success. Smoked it anyway :)

    Beer

I'm having a Tyskie Gronie tonight, a popular Polish beer. Quite strong in terms of alcohol content and full bodied in taste.

Traveling around the UK....need some hints, tips, etc...

It's cool that you're coming to the UK. There's a lot to see and do, too much to cover here but I'll give you a few of my thoughts. I'm Scottish but I've lived in London for four years. I like it here a lot. It's a fantastic city, with people from all over the world. Definitely worth spending a...

    Elementary School Shooting In Connecticut

An interesting, well written opinion piece from The Economist, written from a British point of view, but with a dash of pragmatism about the situation too. - http://www.economist.com/blogs/lexington/2012/12/gun-control

Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows???

Re: Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows?? I'm sure I've seen a script that serves an upside down jpg of every web page requested by unregistered MAC addresses. The stranger gets the internet, but it's mysteriously upside down

Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows???

Re: Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows?? It's not the worst crime in the world. I've deliberately left my wifi unprotected at times. I've used my neighbour's too. In my old place, I could get wifi from my neighbour in my bedroom before I had a wireless router myself. A...

Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows???

Re: Anyone know how to crack a wifi password using windows?? As others have said, it's unethical, yes. It's also very difficult. I've used open wireless networks belonging to neighbours. Never attempted to crack a password though. There's tons of information if you know how to formulate a...

    ACF 2012 Presidential Election Poll

 You do know what Google is, don't you? A search engine. It's only a means for finding information. By its nature it has no inherent bias one way or another. If by "Wiki's" [sic] you mean Wikipedia, I'm sure a well informed person like Jupiter551 doesn't base his opinions solely on this one...

    Pie in the face?

Surely the OP doesn't mean an actual pie with a crust and blueberries? It's ambiguous but I tend to think he means a comedy "custard pie" type of affair. I loved this scene from Bugsy Malone when I was a kid.

good/bad terms for the female genitalia

Ah ok... I've never heard it used in any American movies or TV shows so I assumed it was completely British in origin. Always pronounced to sound like "cat" or "hat" over this side of the pond. Also used as a verb, meaning "to hit". "He was being a knob so I twatted him in the face". Fanny was...

good/bad terms for the female genitalia

Definitely "twat", to rhyme with "cat". It's a British word. I assume an American saw it written at some point in the (fairly recent) past and pronounced it wrongly. I'd never heard the "twot" pronunciation until I joined MFC. On a less confrontational note, "fanny" is a British...
