Are there restriction on models advertising or endorsing products/services during a web show?

Anything specific?

Most models are on social media platforms that allow advertising. Long as they fallow the platform and the FCC guidelines for product placement.

No clue if there any companies like vindale that would work with cam models to wear merch. Not sure on how that would fit in with FFC guidelines.

If you look at the TOS of most cam sites, they specially ban advertising. But they do make some allowances for selling items through the cam site. Long as the money is collected through the cam site. IF you wanted product placement on a cam stream, probable the best bet would be to pitch the idea to the cam site, with profit sharing. See if any of them bite.

Some times models get gifted toys. I think that's more a gray area. Because there no contract. There no guarantee.

Thanks for replying.

I'm asking because I'm currently working on a novel in which one of the main characters is a webcam model. Part of the plot involves this character endorsing a local business in returns for discounts.

Don't. Most models aren't remotely open enough about their location to just advertise a local busines. That's a stupid idea, plain and simple. It might be mean of me to say that, but I don't want to water it down by sugar-coating and leave you still thinking that's OK to include. There have been enough models with very serious stalker problems that the rest of us aren't willing to take the risk.

It's not mean at all. I appreciate the input, that's why I'm here asking questions.

The problem I have with the plot is I need to fix the character of the model to a specific location. Looks like I'm going to need a rethink.

Some models in large cities who maybe also do other kinds of sex work will share locations. But local businesses are usually looking for local audiences not worldwide.

Example: I get free product from a lot of companies including some small businesses in return for promotion. But these are all online available products. All my paddles are by leatherbydanny.com and I dont pay for them.
