Appear Offline Question

So, I noticed that models can appear completely offline, but are still able to do pretty much anything without being noticed.

Can premium members do the same, or something similar to that? I had a friended model message me out of the blue, even though it says that they're not on. Which means they can pretty much stalk paying members without hassle.

Not saying that's a bad thing, but I hope paying members can do something similar.

if you are on each others friend list, you should be able to see when you are both online, even if she isn't broadcasting.

I am not aware of any way we can log in in some sort of stealth mode....(it would be great if we could...save getting caught up in PMs when we just quickly want to check something on our accounts)/

Because she's PMed even though she's not logged in at all. And I know I'm on her friends list because I am on her profile.

The profile friends isn't the same thing as friends list. That just means she clicked that button on your profile. If YOU have her added as a friend (NOT from the profile) then you can see when she's signed in to where she can pm people.

Click menu when you are in her room, or on her avatar on the homepage, click add friend from there.

Watching streams and joining chatrooms on the homepage can be done without logging on by being a guest. That is the only way to "log on" while not showing up on your friends' lists as being "online".

It could be she sent you the PM when she was logged on but you were not. She may have logged off by the time you logged on to read it. I know one model that sends me PM's, often, when i'm not on line ( I don't know why). If the PM's bother you, you can set them to friends only and remove her from your friends list or you can turn your PM's off completely, do whatever it is you need to do in peace, then turn them on again when you are ready to talk. Or even better just ask her not to do that.
Models will try to solicit business from members who they think will tip. That's not really stalking. Most will stop with the PM you if you tell them that you are busy elsewhere.

I definitely have her added the right way, but maybe there is some major lag or something. It is kinda freaky when I get a message from someone when they clearly aren't online. I'm like "wtf".

Are you getting MFC mail and Private Message (PM) confused?

Nope, I get both when it shows that they're offline. It's really weird.

Probably an MFC glitch. I've sat in a model's room, watching her, and talking with her in PM, all while MFC said she was offline.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a glitch.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of wonky-ness with MFC's friend's list--I'm pretty sure it gets worse if you have multiple tabs/windows of MFC open simultaneously. It seems like one of the windows will retain an accurate list, while the others will go haywire (i.e., listing people that are online as off, models that are broadcasting when they're actually offline, etc.). So yeah--I'd agree that whatever is happening is just some crazy glitch. :lol:
