It's been a while since I have been on this forum, but I wanted to ask a model's opinion

If a member orders a custom video from a model, how often can the member PM/MFC mail for updates on the status of the custom (if the deliver date is already past). In general I am wondering at what stage, in your opinions, does a member have a right to ask for a custom to be made/bug the model that it isn't completed yet.

tl'dr
A while back, I inquired with what I consider to be a top mfc model regarding a custom video through MV. It was a bit more out there type of custom, one that not every model wants to do (some like it some don't). I had PM'ed her regarding the broad sense of the fantasy, and asked what price she would want on MV for it. She mentioned she preferred tokens, but I still asked for the price of the MV and just in case the price in tokens.

The prices were within my spending limit for that month, and it was mentioned a MFC tip would be 1-2 weeks but MV would take 3-4 weeks. Still hesitant that my full fledged fantasy may be a bit out there, I requested if I could MFC mail her the full fantasy for the custom to see if she was alright with it. After sending her with the fantasy, she agreed to it. (At that point, I decided to tip as I was a bit impatient and really wanted that custom).

A week and a bit went by, and I decided to mail her, just to see if she had any question or concerns. It showed as read by the next day, but no response (I just figured she was busy).

3.5 weeks after initially tipping for the custom, I see her online again. I figured, might as well ask about the progress. She said she was sick for the last week, which I totally get, life gets in the way sometimes. She mentioned she would get it done as soon as possible.

At the 4 and a bit week mark, I saw her on but not camming. Took the opportunity to mfc tip her just asking if she had time to film it yet. The answer was no, and on further questioning it was no more than 2 more weeks.

It is now 6 weeks to the point and I am really beginning to question, at what stage should I contact her when I see her on to ask? I understand that life gets in the way, but when the delivery date of 1-2 weeks turns into 6 weeks, would you be understanding if a member asks the progress of the video when you log on? As a point, the model hasn't even said sorry for the delay, or acknowledged the delay at all.

There are a bit more details that makes me a bit more frustrated at the model, in that I guess she likely would have time to have filmed my custom. I don't want to mention the details, as it would be easy to identify the model then. It is just frustrating thinking of recieving a custom in 2 weeks, and waiting so much longer; and I am worried if I don't remind her she might just keep delaying but at the same time I don't want her to eventually mute/block me if she deems it as too annoying constantly asking her. So I ask your opinion

I don't think you understand tl;dr

When you pay for a custom and set a deadline THAT'S A PURCHASE. You're entitled to it unless the model gives you the money back. You have full right to ask the model about any delays without having to provide more money. If this was done through MFC with tokens you can call support and argue for the tokens back. If she mute and blocks you for asking for what she agreed to then it proves the scam.

I'm sorry she was so unprofessional. I find it ok that she didn't do it while sick, but she should have at least told you why it was running late.

I recommend finding out a timetable before payment. I believe MV offers escrows. If you used that system, you should be able to cancel it at least.

Ah wait I re-read. I though ou tipped through MV. Yeah, it's like @SMuser69 said. Sorry bub.

I think after 6 weeks of not filming, not updating, not even saying sorry and giving excuses it's fair to say she might have no intentions of ever filming which is super shitty. Whether or not you remind her again: at this point it's a bit doubtful she'll film either way.

If I'm ever delayed during a custom (which doesn't happen all that often at all) I give updates and assurance of when I'll be finished. It's only annoying to me if someone repeatedly messages me before the due date has passed (I have a week wait time at the very most for customs and that's just to cover my ass if something happens that delays as I usually finish within 1-3 days after payment).

After that amount of time I think you are well within your right to bug her more about it but whether that leads to her muting/blocking you or her actually filming it I can't say.

Sorry about your bad experience-I second that escrow on MV is a good route or check out models on clips4sale who do tons of customs regularly

Thank you all for your comments.

I do about half my customs through MV, just due to that. I just figured a model who has been prominent in mfc and while not ranked in a while, has been in top 1000 consistently would have shown a lot more professionalism. As of now, I don't intend to complain to MFC (as in the past they have done nothing), but maybe if she keeps ignoring me I may.

Thank you again for the comments
