What's the difference between MFC friends... and 'profile' friends? Some how or another... I have ONE 'profile' friend (from back on day one almost)... and everyone else is an MFC friend.

Thanks.

As far as I know, profile friends just serve to show what members and models you like publicly. It serves no other purpose than a banner or advertisement of who you like or appreciate.

You can limit posting on your profile wall to profile friends only. That's the only other function I'm aware of.

So you're saying I'm some how 'flagging' friends as profile friends some how? Any idea where I'm (apparently inadvertently) doing that? :o\

Thanks.

To my, somewhat limited knowledge of this:

The friends list and profile friends are 2 separate entities, "Friends" are just like a shortcut wheras "Profile friends" are showing what models you really like?

I have loads of friends on my mfc screen but only 3 on profile

I think this happens when you click "add to friends" or "admire" on their profile. Something like that. I know to add my favorite regulars to my profile friends, I have to go to their profile and add them from there.

Okay, one more question while I have you (thanks for your responses!)

So I have it configured... that you have to be a friend of mine before you can PM me.

I've had members complain that they can't PM me even after I add them as friends. However, I do have friends who are able to PM me. Is it possible there's a delay with MFC... after adding a friend... before they can PM me ??

Thanks.

This seems to be a relatively common problem. I've never had the issue but other models have. I've never heard of a conclusive way to solve it, unfortunately. Logging off and on might help but it's doubtful you would want to do that every time you add a friend.

I just checked, and I have 541 models friended, but only 16 on my profile friends' list. I need to be more sociable. :)

Yes, there's definitely a delay sometimes when you add a friend before that new friend can PM you. The length of the delay seems pretty random, and it doesn't seem to happen to everyone. Just another case of MFC being weird.
