Has anyone noticed that Hollywood only shows women nude / fully nude and never men? I do remember seeing females completely nude in some scenes recently. I really dont think it's fair how you get to see the woman butt naked but guys only get to be shirtless. Im not asking for males to be completely nude, im just saying if the woman has to be naked for a certain scene, it should be the same for males.

And every girl doesn't like female nude scene. Most really dislike them. So, why have them. Im not saying we need a bunch of guys naked but if we need to cool it of the women.

Your opinion?

Weird topic for a first post but I'll bite: I've seen plenty of dick and man-ass on TV and in movies. Also, generally speaking, both women and men don't mind, or might even enjoy, seeing a nude female body. Can't really say the same for seeing dick. I don't know many people who like "surprise dick" in a movie but I don't hear anyone complaining about "surprise tits." They're going for what most people enjoy and that will drive traffic. Sorry boys, but dicks on the big screen don't drive traffic like tits do. That being said, I don't agree that media is dick shy, when the scenes call for it they'll be there.

Also: Game of Thrones... I rest my case.

Seeing cock in film is moderately rare, and that's more due to public perception; it's "pornographic" (especially if erect).
Vagina you don't really see... at least i've not noticed. Both vagina and penis are missing from main stream movies. Ass and Tits are everywhere though.

Would I care? Probably not, context is everything. However, it's possibly also to do with marketing? Swordfish - did it have anything going for it other than the tagline of "Halle Berry's boobs"

Seeing a guys penis in any medium does seem more taboo. Honestly though - how many times is it just a bit of bush and nothing else, whereas penis is obviously more obvious/overt?

I don't really care either way, neither hold interest. Those particular sex organs aren't worth looking at - it's what you do with them that makes them interesting not looking at them! I doubt there's an equality thing going on, more likely just who is willing to show what and what is deemed acceptable. No-one cares about ass (for example).

The bigger issue is that women can't orgasm on screen without it being seen as too much, whereas men can and it's no big deal. This Film is Not Yet Rated is a documentary you'd probably like.

Lindsay Ellis has a great series of videos, called The Whole Plate, presenting an introduction to film theory through the example of Michael Bay's Transformer movies. While this series doesn't get into nudity, there are two videos talking about the Male Gaze, which I think is very much part of this discussion. Worth a watch.

I don't know if there is actually more male nudity in movies and TV as there was in the past, or there might be outside of North America, but even if that is the case, I don't think it compares to the amount of female nudity, or the casual nature with which female nudity is presented. Female nudity is its own industry in Hollywood.

I'm guessing you haven't watched Spartacus?

Overall, you're still correct. However, there's simply less demand for male nudity. Any cam site is evidence of that. Male cam models make much less overall, there's fewer of them, and the customers they do have are 99% dudes. Why do far fewer women than men go to strip clubs, less often, and spend less money? Even the women I have known that go to strip clubs prefer to go to ones with female dancers. Both my gf and I have twitter accounts for camming. She get's bombarded by dudes begging for nudes. I get far fewer requests for that, but the ones I do get, are again, from men. Interestingly enough, her account also has a higher percentage of female followers than mine (20% vs 11%).

I wish there was as much demand for male nudity as there is for female. Camming would be much more lucrative and fun for me. However, as evidenced by any "sexual marketplace", there simply is not as much of a demand for dick.

On the plus side for those who like male nudity, the scenes where there actually is male nudity, you can see cock. I've never seen pussy on screen outside of porn.

The Westworld TV show (not the 1970s movie) is absolutely full of cocks. Mostly giant ones, mostly without pubic hair.

The women (well, robots with female appearance) on the other hand always have lots of pubic hair so you can't really see anything. Maybe they're saving the pussy for season 2. :)

big cocks you say...
*googles show*

I need to review my podcasts for telling me this, but those cocks are mostly prosthetics, even the tiny ones. We're all well aware of merkins today, and nipples can be CGI replacements picked at the choice of the actress these days (if you're established). It's interesting how Hollywood is showing less while "showing" more.

Meanwhile cam models do it the old fashioned way. And Jason Segel because... congrats?
