To most people this might seem like something very far away, something the media isn't reporting much about it and it's snowing under the general business over everyday. But this is real, this is happening to people, people who watch netflix and go out with friends and go to concerts just like you and me. more information about the cause here

I would like to get this in the ACF spotlight for a tiny bit, this is Folk for the People, a beautiful initiative of 35(!) folk bands who all contributed a track for this compilation of beautiful folk tunes. For 10 euros (± 14 USD) you can download the album (35 tracks) and help your karma out too! so if you're into folk, you won't be disappointed.

you can find it here!!!

one of the songs on there (happens to be one of my favourites)

thank you!

Let me resurrect this thread in light of recent events, the people of Ukraine are going under in this political battle and could still very much use our help!

Let you resurrect this thread in light of recent events without mention of all the innocent souls lost flying 33000 feet over your political battle?

Really?

Fuck Putin!

Whuuuuuuuuut?

What are you even arguing here? That people being oppressed in Ukraine should be ignored now because there's a more recent tragedy to occur in this fucked world of ours that you deem more important? Do you have a point or are you just in a bad mood right now?

holy fucking shit man. every time you reply to one of my posts (granted, not often) it's completely unnecessary attacks.

first off, MY political battle? how could this be MY political battle, what have I got to do with any of this? I'm assuming you're under the impression that I'm russian/ukrainian, which I am not (unless Europe is just one big blob to you). I am dutch, like 90% of the victims on that plane, of which I know 3(!) personally.
The tragic of that plane crash is beyond reason, you REALLY don't have to tell me jerk, I just mailed out another batch of condolences cards. fyou very much.

That crash does not take away the inhumane condition of hard-working normal people of Ukraine who are stuck in a war-zone. It actually made it a whole lot worse. obviously, without any fault of their own.

your ignorance and general hostility is far beyond me.

Fay on a couple of occasions I've lost friends on events that made the headlines. It's surreal to have the talking heads yammer about folks you know personally. I imagine random yahoo on the internet would be even worse. My deepest sympathy for yourself and the Dutch people. As you point out the the long suffering people Ukrainian people are still the victims.

I am playing the album now it is pretty cool.

I personally knew one of the victims, John Alder. He was a Newcastle United fan, like myself, and would often be laughing and joking at football matches.

It's a tragedy, and I can only hope we can get answers, for all the families involved.

I am not fully awake yet, but this warms my heart. Thank you so much for your sympathy, both to me and all the people. you're awesome.

I'm sorry for your loss, and yes, I hope so too.
