It is somewhat humorous. I think that it shows how people always try to find another reason for a problem or blaming the person for everything. Sometimes people just need to listen and then talk. I have a friend that calls me when they are feeling down or wanting to hurt themselves. I just listen and then give them a reason to not do things like that. I offer advice and tell them that they are beautiful, so they need to treat themselves better. Sometime all it takes for problems to get solved is to just listen without judging or interrupting. I think you may be taking the parody too seriously. Yeah, it's alluding to one of many women's complaints about men...that they want to fix, rather than just listen while she blows off steam. What makes this hilarious, is this just happens to be one of the cases where the guy SHOULD be doing exactly what he's doing.
