Swedish users

Hey,

since the new law in Sweden that makes purchasing custom made adult content online illegal, I know many cam and fan sites stopped access for those models and users who reside in Sweden.

However, on SC, I still see users tipping with "sweden" as their location. Are swedish users still allowed on SC or are they maybe just using sweden as their public location even if they are not actually physically in sweden?

We always operate in full compliance with the laws and regulations of each country.

To answer your question — yes, users can manually set their profile location to say they are from anywhere, regardless of their actual physical location. However, their real location is determined by their IP address (geolocation), which is what we use for region-based restrictions or enforcement of local rules.

So while a user might say they’re from one place on their profile, the system still recognizes where they are actually connecting from — unless they’re using a VPN to mask it.
