first off, yes I have contacted MFC support about this but they won't help me.

I used to use safari browser to broadcast on MFC, but this was not ideal, I want to use different plug-ins (vpn, adblocker etc) while camming and these are not available on safari. I tried chrome but that really fucked up my frames per minute rate so I'm now using chrome canary (after tackling a few problem with shockwave that now runs smoothy smooth) except....

I cannot access a few pages in my modelweb MFC site.
these pages are account information, payment info and a few others that are quite mandatory.

this is the text I get when I click on one of these:

"In order to protect personal information, additional verification is required in order to complete this request.

An email will be sent to *****(at)gmail.com containing a verification code."

so I receive an e-mail with a code in it, telling me to enter in into the page, but on the whole damn website there's no field to enter a code, nowhere! MFC support's brilliant solution was to just use another browser, (because I told them I was able to access those pages in safari) but I really rather not (my traffic FINALLY went up, in fact, it doubled since the VPN)

I cleared all the cookies, cashes, rebooted, etc. didn't help.

anyone had this error? or knows a way around it?

worst case I can access those pages in another browser and only stream from chrome, but ideally I would be able to do it all in chrome canary.

I'm now thinking maybe the VPN has something to do with it, security-wise. but that doesn't really solve it :P

It may be your VPN. MFC doesn't seem to like VPNs. I think someone reported me as having one after I joked about using one, and ever since I can't use my Seattle VPN on MFC on modelweb.

I use a VPN as well because 1) the closer the VPN tunnel to MFC the better the video. (It was going from the Midwest to New York to Seattle for some reason when I checked the pings and that wasn't exactly ideal for camming). 2) The other reason I use it (and the creepiest one), is because since I stared using VPNs I've had many members who seem to find out my IP (only VPN IP but still...). I say on my profile I live in the midwest, but it I have it set to any particular state, there is always a member or two that ask if I'm near a city in that state. If I change my VPN to another state, same thing, but that state instead. I'd just rather creepos like that not be zeroed in on my IP location; even if that wasn't the original purpose I got one.

Also, before anyone asks, yes I do use the block your IP option in the edit profile section.

I use VPN myself and sometimes if I switch servers and I want to check the "Account Information" field to see how much I made, I will receive the same notification with [...an email will be sent to your inbox with a verification code...etc]. After you click send verification code, that same page should reload and it will be looking like this:

And I can vouch for Comodo Dragon and Iron browsers and reliable VPNs - Private Internet Access and Strong VPN. Never use free ad-on proxies, they are unreliable and very slow.

Chrome canary?

Google Chrome Canary has the newest of the new Chrome features.
Be forewarned: it's designed for developers and early adopters, and can sometimes break down completely.

Hardly surprising MFC support isn't going to help...

Thank girls for the help! I'm now sure it is the VPN, I've messed around with it for a bit and as long as I keep it turned off there's no issue. I tried it with firefox and regular chrome too and exactly the same thing. so, puzzle solved. (although unfortunately not problem solved, but I can live with it ;))

Zoomer, thank you so much for the helpful add to this thread! I am, of course, well aware of this. To MFC support it made no difference whatsoever.
