I did a search and I haven't found a topic for this. I love make-up, all those colours of lipsticks, blushes, eyeshadows.. And that is one of the main reasons wich make me think about earning money being a camgirl. So, the idea is talk about our favourite brans and the items that we buy, ask questions and give advices, put swatches.. Anything related to make-up!

(I'll share my make-up stuff when I wake up from my siesta haha)

Im a makeup Artist (main job) and I loooove to talk about makeup haha

I usually go with MAC for ALOT of stuff, except mascara (they dont really have nice mascara anyways) and now foundation since im now using an air brush

I love Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier. Bare minerals, Nars, Stila, Lancome, Dior, Chanel, Gurlain (and more)
I have to say im really into this and all the money I have goes into that.. :S ..and some geeky stuff..

Im on many makeup forums too and Im thinking about maybe starting a blog about it.

Can someone suggest a good mascara that doesn't have beeswax in it/tests on animals? I was considering switching to a stain, but would really rather a mascara.

-Foundation/make-up base: I don't use it because I have no spots, scars, marks, brighteness..

-Concealer: I use 'all about eyes concealer' in tone 01 by Clinique, the best that I've tried.

-Powder: I use one by Clinique to get a doll face look.

-Eyeliner: this is my favourite make-up item, I use it everyday. I'm using one of Rimmel London because it has the point as a marker not as a paintbrush. But I want a good one, I'm open to suggestions.

-Eyepencil: I only only use it to delineate my waterline so I neet it to be waterproof, I have 'Khol & Couture' by Bourjois but I need one much better! Maybe Dior, Chanel, H.Rubinstein..? Suggestions!

-Mascara: Lash Queen Waterproof by Helena Rubinstein. It's awesome!! It makes the lashes thick, long and separate. It does not smudge, nor flake.. And it looks very natural.
My aunt said me that Chanel is a good brand for mascara.. Can you tell me something about it?

-Eyeshadows: I have the palette called 'Naked' by Urban Decay and it's perfect and I'm also doing a 15 M.A.C. shadows palette.. When I have it finished (wich will be very soon) I will post it! The colours of both brands are very intense and long lasting.
M.A.C. is my favourite brand for eyeshadows.. I also have some shadows by Bourjois but they fade very soon, and two by KIKO wich are very good but I prefer smaller shadows unless they are brown or black because I use those colours everyday and I consume them very soon.

-Blushes: I use 'Tea Rose' by Chanel and it's perfect, I will bought more Chanel blushes. I also want a few MAC blushes because that brand has very bibrant colours and seems to be very good.

-Lipstick: I need loads of advices with lipstick, I have no idea lol. I have one by Loreal in a neutral tone, one in fuchsia by Bourjois (I like it, its very smooth and creamy) and a pale pink by Chanel. Definitely I will buy more Chanel lipsticks becaouse the one I have is pretty good and all the colours by Chanel are.. <3!

-Nail polish: Chanel, Chanel, Chanel, Chanel!! Any more suggestions? haha

After doing some research one of the best ive seen so far was Tarte lash hugger
or go to sephora.com and check their eco friendly section theres a lot of stuff and you can see the ingredients and everything and they all have the eco tag on them.

Im using lancome hypnose mascara usually but they dont show the ingredients on the website.. its never a good thing, but ive seen some review saying its wasnt the best but not that bad.

Eyeliner its really up to you because there are so many ways to do it, I love MAC fluidline in Blacktrack its like a creamy texture I use it with the 208 or 266 brushes.
I used to work with MAC liquid liner but now they have like a pen its call penultimate eye liner.. I LOVE this
and I prefer Kohl pencil, more creamy, easier to work with usually in Smolder.

For your eyeshadow do you use a primer before? if not thats maybe why your bourjois are fading quickly, I suggest Primer Potion by Urban Decay, ive tested many and theres nothing like this one. And now they have them in more finish shimmer, matte, and gold. I still prefer the original.

I love chanel ALOT but really for lipstick, MAC is gonna cost you less and have as nice colour as Chanel if not more. But still.. its hard to tell you which one youd like there are so many, depent what you like as a color, a finish, your skintone, what occasion, everyday wear? what are you gonna mix it with..

As for nail polish I love Illamasqua colors, but I usually just go with OPI or China Glaze, alot more colors, and alot cheaper.

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this!

Ok, I have such a hard time finding mascara that I like. I want, like, obscene lashes. I've heard Diorshow mascara is good. I liked Fresh but it's sometimes hard to find and I feel like I could find something better. I think I had a Lancome one that I liked, how is the Hypnose? Is it more bold or natural looking lashes?

I am in love with my primer. Personally though, I think you need to find one that works best for your skin type when it comes to foundation primers even though most say that they're for all skin types (and there's a difference between eyelid primer and allover primer, right?). My little beauty tip is to use Monistat Anti Chafing Powder Gel as a primer (read about it in a beauty blog). It has the same ingredients as primer (siliconed based) and it works really well on my dry but acne prone skin. It takes away shine, minimizes my pores, helps my makeup last longer and not settle in my pores and just gives my skin an overall nice finish, just like any other primer. And it only costs $8 for a large tube.

I use Bare Minerals foundation powders but I have to be so careful about washing my brushes once a week or I start to break out. Has anyone used that Luminess Air Brush System from the infomercials? I know there are probably better ones out there, but this one is under $200. https://www.luminessair.com/Store/ATI_ViewProduct.aspx?Key=&CategoryId=12

I love Lancome Hypnose but they have now Lancome Hypnose DRAMA .. even better! it create really big long dramatic lashes. A lot of girls are using fake lashes, but meh Im really too lazy to put them every single day but im thinking about lashes extensions my friend just got them and its .. really fabulous even on cam she looks like shes having cute doll eyes. I think xoeve had it done too I think I remember one picture on tumblr of it and it was really really pretty.. but its more expensive but its usually for 3 months. and you dont even have to put on mascara. Benefit just got a new one too I didnt try it yet but it supposed to be really nice too. (checking the name on their site) ok its call They're real! at 22$ and the review is REALLY good 100% for 16 reviews. I was at Sephora yesterday and I didnt think of it.. I really love my lancome one.. and everybody always compliment me on my eyes.

As for the primer youre right its not the same primer for the eyes as for the face. You can even have primer for lashes, lips.. but for everyday makeup I dont really bother.. Anyways its harder to find a good face primer since we all have skin problematics, I have acne prone skin so I have to find something that will not make me brake-out. I use MAC Prep + Prime since im REALLY fair on the summer I usually use the one with the SPF .. 50. (its your face its not too much if youre like me) or you can use the regular one with no SPF its more liquid. but the key for me is the finishing powder, its gonna keep your makeup all day, and I use the Fix+ and spray it all over my face at the end to keep everything smooth looking and it doesnt leave you with that powdery look. But I think MAC are not doing Fix + anymore so Ill need to find a new one. Bare Minerals have all this too I have them but usually I find them to make me break-out after few months of use. I dont know about the Monistat one Ill have to check on that :)

Ive seen review for Luminess, I doesnt seem too bad really but I didnt try it. I have the temptu one, cost more but I like it the only thing with airbrush machine is the coverage is harder to work, and you wont achieve a full coverage with this only. With the temptu one (not sure about the Luminess the range color arent really good, you cant mix and match, so if the color doesnt fit.. well.. it doesnt fit. But Im really really fair and the palest one is good for me. Im looking for the pro one since you can mix color and everything but well see..

Edit : Ive just checked the Luminess video (wow at how its unrealted.. girls having lunch and shopping.. ) but it looks nice for the price, you can mix and match the colors. The only thing is the regular kit as only 1 speed.. it may be really really long to achieve a result if you have more imperfection to hide as I do.. Mine is always at max and I still find it not enough :P
but it looks nice really.

I believe some of MAC's mascaras are vegan, and MAC doesn't test on animals. I have a friend who is a vegan makeup artist so I will ask her!

edit: She recommended this - http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-gi ... rt-mascara
She said it contains stearic acid in it but it's plant derived.
Hope that helps!

Eeerrr.....ummmmm

I uhhh..... :confusion-scratchheadblue:

hmmm........

I am sure....uh.....

Pretty sure, ....I am lost. :?

*backs away very very VERY slowly, and makes a break for it*

My favorite makeup item right now is the Naked palette by Urban Decay. I've used it almost every day since I got it a few months ago. It's an eyeshadow palette with all neutral colors, and they pretty much all go together, so it's basically foolproof. They are really high quality shadows. I definitely recommend it! It's so much cheaper than buying all those colors separately at MAC.

I love make-up too! I have tried a lot of make-up over the years. My favorite brand is Aveda I have been using them the longest, however I have also tried Channel, Mac, Clinique, Bare Minerals and more.

I have subscribed to Pixiwoo on Youtube and these girls are AMAZING!!! They do a lot of celebrity inspired looks, like pretty much anyone you can think of. They have a TON of videos, and they go step and step and tell you the brand and name of the shades they use.

You girls should definitely check them out! :)

I was actually wondering about the stearic acid. That's the same brand Alexia suggested, but I wanted to make sure about the sa first, so thanks for checking that out for me!! :)

i am a makeup addict. but after reading a passage from a vegan book i just bought about pregnancy(im not pregnant now but for in the future) i learned that the ingredients put into makeup are not regulated at all. in the u.s we have only banned a total of 8 ingredients in makeup, whereas in europe they have outlawed about 1000 ingredients. knowing that and realizing that i can find the same organic shades at origin for cheaper than at sephora i have decided to start using all natural makeup although its gonna be tough staying away from urban decay lol. ive tried just about every makeup brand out there. my warning would be for the higher end target stuff... sonia kashnuck im not sure if i spelled that right but either way every product ive ever had from that company was an epic disappointment that and jemma kidd is wayyy overpriced for the crappy greasy quality.
fave mascara: buxom bare minerals
fave eyeshadow: urban decay
lipgloss: buxom lips
lipstick : urban decay
blush : nars
foundation: bare minerals
eyeliner: revlon stays on better than any high end product ive ever used
primer : urban decay

those are my favorites. also for hair and body and lip balm yes to carrots is amazing stuff not animal tested smells great all natural and fairly cheap. i highly suggest their lotion especially ive done so many lotion shows with it cause it rubs in so easily.

Hi, I need a good, (inexpensive, but not cheep)online source for make up? I know asking for inexpensive, good make up, is sort of like asking for a tall glass of water, hold the wet, but any suggestions you might have would be good, even if it is to say, don't get it here cuz it will take for ever, or it is low grade, or what ever. I am basically looking for theatrical make up, but then isn't it all theatrical make up? Thanks.

The last time I needed new blush, I went into Sephora for help, because I have trouble finding blush light enough for me to be able to use. We ended up picking out a pretty, light pink for me from Nars. I am constantly giggling over the name - Deep Throat! Isn't that more appropriate for a lip product?

My favourite cam girl when it comes to makeup.
My sister would like this one ... so something for all of you.
