The day of the 3 mile run obstacle course arrived yesterday and was so much fun that my friends and I decided we'll be going again next year. Of the 20 former co-workers and friends I went with, I finished 5th. I finished at 34 minutes though partially because of how many people per run. They'd send 50+ people every half hour and the first 1/4 mile or so to the first obstacle it was cramped with people running at a much slower pace than I am used to, so my goal next year is to finish below 30 minutes. It finished with jumping over a pit of fire followed by a mud pit with rows of barbwire to duck under with a final sprint to the finish line. I cannon balled into the mudpit simply to say I cannon balled into the mudpit
oh and barbwire doesn't feel so hot, one of the last rows popped up little too early got snagged have a 3-4" cut there. fun times. Well worth the funky viking hat and free tshirt, and a medallion for finishing too also as well.
Team I-got-mud-in-my-underpants. Also I beat both those two in the race. Boom
