When you're happy, which would you more likely yell?

Woot or yay? (There was a weird conversation at work about this)

I would probably yell "Yay" as it's more natural, but some people like to say "woo", and by extension, "woot". Amber, I'm sure I've heard you say "Yay" more often, but I just want to make sure.

Wow that's a good question. I think I say both pretty frequently. I do "woohoo" lots. But I also do "yay" often. It may really be a toss up.

Hmmm, I'm more of a Fuck Yea! or a Sheah! then a woot or a yay, but on cam I do say Yay cause its easy and everyone gets it as happy. Good question

For me I think it depends on what causes the elation. Something really geeky is likely to get a "woot!" There are also times where nothing but a "Hell yeah!" will work and yet other times where a Lil Jon-esque "YEAH!" is what the situation demands. Expressions of elation are quite numerous and I suggested against limiting one's options.
