Yes, app feature. Not aware that this can be done by a moderator (we're talking on CB, right?), unless you're referring to a feature contained in an app.
Only option available by default is to silence for 6 hours.

I agree with you, that's why I said "busier rooms".I mean no offense, but that button that allows only those with tokens to chat does of all that with one click.
*takes a puff off pipe*
None of that sells me. I'm totally convinced you need
before really even considering having a mod.
Can you explain the difference between selectively muting and silencing? Does it mean that they can continue to post unaware but that other members cannot read their chat?Yes, app feature.
Most apps/bots do the muting in such a way that the user can't tell they are muted which is really the best way.Can you explain the difference between selectively muting and silencing? Does it mean that they can continue to post unaware but that other members cannot read their chat?
I have to say, I would agree that it's best to know that they've been muted. If even only 1% of them modified their future behaviour as a result then that would be a win.I like it when they know they are muted. Let them know they are facing consequences!

Valid points although I always felt that the ones making the new usernames were the malicious fuckers. Most other greys, when silenced, just fuck off and annoy another model.....Grays? They just make another username and come right back. They learn their lesson eventually with enough people ignoring them because they can't be seen.
Not for this Company. They have lots of new models coming and going. They monitor them for their safety so they don't reveal any personal info.a monitor is not a chat moderator (a user given mod privileges), they could fill that role but it's generally a waste of their time.
fits the posts i saw so far. and i dont think the person whose butt we see here knows about that either. This week on "Unnecessarily Creepy Photos"..........
oh, got it then! The issue isn't that there aren't good moderators out there but rather that there are too many wanna-be mods who seek -- and manipulate models to get -- the role for ego gratification or status or freebies.
