I'm going to drop by this suggestion on recently adding captcha so that clipdr0ne is not compatible for mv anymore:

I feel like that's not a very smart move on mv's part. Just because it's not the majority now doesn't mean it's not a good investment (on not many models using cd). I could see clipdr0ne seriously taking off after the beta testing stage. Like I just busted ass last night and at the simple click of a few more buttons all 120+ of my vanilla videos could have been uploaded there. Now I don't really know how much $ those would have generated but when I had about 15 of my videos up there I made payout a few times. Having more content means more traffic and you're not going to get the MOST content if it's not easy for the models to upload their already massive libraries.

MV takes security as their #1 focus, and since we do not know their infrastructure, we do not think its safe for models to give a 3rd party their login credentials, and then as for a bot to log into all their accounts. This means your passwords can be decrypted on their end to log into MV (since c4s, MV, etc do not have and allow 3rd party applications to log into their accounts). Passwords SHOULD NEVER be decryptable after stored with a company. Just the mere idea that they have access to all their user clipsite accounts, which contains private address, etc, does not sit well with us. We cannot partner with this kind of business model.

For those who want to know a little more, sites like Twitter, allow other sites to log into your account by giving out API Key and Secret. You aren't storing your Twitter password on the 3rd party's website, as the password cannot be decrypted back for them to be able to login as a normal user. This is not what Clipdr0ne is doing. They have full access to all passwords of every clip site you link on their website. If their database gets hacked, or they have a sketchy employee, there goes all your personal information, including changing your payment method and stealing your pay checks. Some Models use the same passwords I am sure for their emails, which are linked to their camsite, bank accounts, etc..
You can see now the reason we want nothing to do with this currently.

Hopefully that answers your question as most of you might not know how these things work in the background :)

We do have a mass upload, but we are working on a mass edit as well. This will improve dramatically your upload time so you dont have to edit 1 by 1 your vids afterwards.

Perhaps I should clarify that by obtaining traffic, I don't mean just any traffic, I mean QUALITY traffic. Quality traffic means PAYING traffic. As myself and other models have stated, we are making very few sales as compared to other clip sites that you are in direct competition with.

As such, it is impossible to be paid on MV. In this very thread, one model stated she had to wait 6 months. Another model is still waiting and it's been over 1 year. To get $100. Really? You can't tell me you're doing something right with this information. I'd be surprised if even 70% of the models on MV can make $100 in a month, perhaps not even 50%. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It seems only the top, say 5%-10% can probably do it. This is a huge problem.

Giving attention to the top 20 shops instead of the top 3 shops are better but there are 3,200 of us. Cleaning up the activity feed to only recently uploaded videos and removing that ridiculous heart system would be a huge step forward or even having an entire page dedicated to recently uploaded content, preferably the home page.

I don't even want to comment further about the MV score. Although ridiculous, none of it matters. What does matter are sales. And, as I stated above, it's very flawed on MV.

Thank you!

I wanted to update that I did decide to go ahead and delete my MV account and requested to be paid out what I had earned. However, MV support responded and said that, in order to be paid, I must meet the minimum pay out requirement. This is in direct opposition than what @ManyVids stated here in this thread. I am appalled.

That is crazy. So basically...good luck?

Poor business practice.

I wanted to go ahead and include the screen shots, since I didn't include that in my original post.

Here is the screen shot stating @ManyVids would send me (or anyone) their money, even if they did not receive a minimum payout. It is on page 9 of this thread:
agK5JGq.jpg

Here is the screen shot of the response I received upon requesting to close my account and receive my payout:

On a slightly different topic, this response is really off putting to me. A host for videos? That requires users to sign up to your site? No thanks. My profile to promote my websites? I haven't received one person that said they found me from MV. Pointers for being a top seller? Because uploading 1-4 videos a day and advertising them weren't enough? There can only be a handful of top sellers and MV only likes to favor the top sellers.

Anyway!

If anything changes, I'll update this thread. I informed Laura of this very thread, as well, with the screen shot above.

Thanks!

As mentioned its check the payment method we need an absolute minimum. We can't send out a check of 5$. When I stated if you are under 50$ you will get it no problem, I was under the impression you were Payoneer as checks are 100$ minimum. So that's my mistake. No matter what all closed accounts get their balance. This is why we responded if you have Payoneer, or if you prefer a 1 time ACH.

Ps: most competitors will not send out unless you make minimums, just putting that out there. Even non adult pay out type sites.

A few things:

1. It was not indicated anywhere that a check is not an acceptable payment method to receive payment under the minimum requirement.

2. The check written to me would not be $5. It would be $44.55.
eAsrO4r.png

3. I have stated multiple times in this very thread that the Payoneer option MV is undesirable. Therefore, it seems strange that you would assume I would have selected Payoneer as my payment method.

For example, on page 8 of this thread:
1lqTaRL.png

As another example, on page 10 of this thread:
Y7EkU80.png

The reason Payoneer with MV is so undesirable is because MV does NOT have direct deposit set up with Payoneer. MV only supports Payoneer with the pre-paid card (I called Payoneer to verify this with them) which has numerous un-wanted fees. For instance, it's $12.95 just to activate the card. In fact, here are the full list of fees using the pre-paid card:
4ArXsxM.png

4. Just to be clear, checks have a minimum payout of $100:
UkLawak.png

Also, to be clear, direct deposit/ACH has a minimum payout of $500:
mktKpjJ.png

Therefore, if you won't send me a check with a minimum payout of $100, what would make me think that you would do a direct deposit/ACH that has a minimum payout of $500? Do you see how this would be an odd conclusion to come to? Here again, it would be nice if you would clear the air on which payment methods are acceptable to receive payment upon account closure.

5. It seems unnecessary to state that "most" other pay out websites would not give out the remaining balance upon account closure. We're not talking about other websites, we're talking about MV. However, since you brought it up, I'll take this opportunity to say that I've been a member of MV since September 13, 2015 and have made $44.55. I have been a member of Clips4Sale for the same amount of time and have made 2 payouts (at $50 each with direct deposit, paid biweekly) with a third one under way. I have also been a member of IWantClips since October 21, 2015 and have made the minimum payout last week and this week I will again (at $50 with direct deposit, paid weekly). On all 3 of these websites, I have the same clips. Clearly, there is something seriously wrong with the way MV markets other shops other than the top girls on the website. This has been documented and detailed throughout this very thread and I am happy to no longer have to spend time uploading my work to MV (which is a longer upload process than most competitors due to the MV system forcing you to choose a picture and preview as oppose to using an animated gif).

Anyway, I will respond to your e-mail and update this thread upon actually receiving the payment.

Thank you!

I don't understand why you couldn't just send the cheque for $5, or $44.55, or whatever? Like I get that you have minimum payouts but a model should have the right to both close her account AND receive payment for services rendered. Especially since you stated in this thread you'd pay her out....

ETA: Posted at the same time, glad it's being sorted, but dang.

Its an accounting process coded and setup with webmasterchecks.
The model has always had the right to receive her full balance on account removal, even if its under the minimum. Its simply the payout options that were not including check if its a really low amount.

Until miqote mentioned it for herself, it has never even been brought up by any model as an issue to our support and management. Now that its brought up, we will discuss about modifying it to include checks and start the process to change this. Its kinda hard to modify something if no one has ever come forward stating its a problem :)

To add to the "payout if you close your account" discussion, I closed my account last year with a balance of $34 and it was never paid to me, even though MV support have full access to my details, so they would know that I have money earned. Within that email they didn't mention anything about sending me my owed money, but to be fair, one would just assume it would be sent. I completely forgot about it until I returned, and had to go to the trouble of asking for it to be added to a new month of earnings.

I don't know if it was my fault for not asking if I will be paid the money I earned upon closing (silly me for assuming they would figure out I want my money) or incompetence on their part. Overall, if I had never re-opened my account, they would have walked away with my money and me none the wiser.

Hi Joanne,
99% if the time, when someone closes their account with us, they ask for their funds. On rare occasions, if a model has under a minimum of payout, our system wont send it automatically, until we close the books at the end of the fiscal year. No matter what, the funds are sent in one form or another. It is impossible for us to keep a balance with a model that has deleted her account.
We will definitely be reviewing the "close account" procedure. Since we have been in full expansion, we get 100x more open account requests then closing, so our focus has been a little preoccupied. We will take this opportunity to improve our model's closing account procedures in the coming weeks to reflect the above suggestions.

I appreciate everyone's feedback on the matter!

Hey @ManyVids I would like some clarification on something I saw yesterday that left me with a few questions. I logged in to MV yesterday on my phone and saw that y'all were advertising "free video" with sign up. Could you please explain how you are giving members a free video? Are gals being paid for the video (I would hope they are, but I would like to check this before I start telling folks to sign up!)? How do you know when someone is a new member?

I expect it's the same thing as the free video you get when you buy more than $30 worth of other videos. They have a few porn sites they partner with that offer a select few videos.

Oh wow I didn't even know about that feature! That's pretty darn cool, would be even cooler if they offered it up to all models to add to the free video collection, could be great exposure if a model is comfortable.

Well now thank you! I just assumed you couldn't since I saw no independent performers in the list. Thanks!
We actually tried it out first with studios who do not sell content on our site, in order to motivate some users to sign up and purchase content from MV girls/studios in the future. We have thought about opening this up to all MV girls/studios, but have not discussed yet internally on how we wanted to activate this feature.

I am glad you see value in opening this up for everyone. Could be a great way to promote your content to users who are looking for specific types of vids to buy.

We will keep you posted on what we decide to do :)

Anthony, this is like the exact opposite of what I was told on Twitter? I was told to just email the help team and it was doable? So were they wrong?

Is this new "free video" option your answer to this? If so, I feel like it completely missed the point entirely.

I really genuinely hope that what we were discussing here is still considered and made available to MV models soon, because this new option does not satisfy the number one option why the previous suggestion would be beneficial.

I'm not sure if this is a new feature, or if I just hadn't noticed before, but I love that you now list the total amount earned from each video right there on our profile (only for our own view, obviously members don't see this). It's been super helpful to see which videos are most popular as well as which may sell less often but bring more earnings because they're more expensive. Thank you for that! :)

No problem! Its a little addition that a log of you requested :)

Myself and a few other models have been receiving emails like the following recently. I've received it once before, and when I replied to say that I am already selling with Manyvids, I got a reply saying that this email was asking to feature me on the blog.

Here's the problem with that - that's not what this email is saying to models at all. It reads like a recruitment email, as if I'm not selling with you and you would like me to. In fact, this particular email being addressed to "Goddess Saffron Burke" tells me that the person who sent it, got my email address from my femdom store on Clips4sale,because that is the only place that I add "Goddess" to my name.

If these emails are in fact asking to feature us on the Manyvids blog, it should come straight out and say that. No bragging about traffic or other numbers, just "We love your content, would you like to be featured on our blog to help increase your traffic?" Straight, simple, to the point. Getting an email where the main focus is numbers and traffic just reads like a recruitment offer.

Here is the email that I'm referring to:

I have a question - can every member see my message if I PM them?

Also, the site REALLY needs to do something about the rating/reviewing the videos! Only about 5% of the buyers do that and it's awful because it would help the rank, if they did. I am SURE something can be done to make the process way easier and faster!

If you send it to a member, only he will see it. Unless you're asking about members who cant send PMs, they can see it yes. I think they can answer it too, they just cant initiate them.

Agreed on the review part. I think Ive said this on this thread before but very few members leave reviews in my experience too and, when they do, they leave odd ratings because of all the questions. It's been a while since this has been implemented, it doesn't look like it's working as it should. I've seen some models even offer some extra content if people leave reviews which doesn't look like something good for the website either. Models shouldnt have to rely on extra incentive to get reviews that affect their rank.

I'm in the top 800 and have made a whopping $140.00 these past few months, my friends. What a time to be alive.

Also so far I've gotten 2 requests on my MV wall for custom videos. I would LOVE to have more of these, however I almost never check my wall! So I get these offers like a week late. I wish there was an option to notify the model via email when someone writes on their wall, though it looks like you can't edit your notifications.

Some of my MFC regulars have told me their opinion on ManyVids, and they find the site mildly annoying. Lots of things like you have to have an avatar before you buy a girl's porn and all the intensity ratings which IMO are silly. Yeah this is a 4way gangbang...you think it's going to be softcore?

I originally signed up because I could send an MV link to my videos, but now that I know that people have to sign up to download that link, I've switched over to Dropbox. I've had members not buy anymore videos because I sent them MV links :woops:

Also you can't put "choke" in any description and you can't have a video where the model is completely tied up. Against Da Rulez. But piss and incest are fine. Oh and pissing on a hotel carpet is totally fine (completely disgusting, and since I assume they banned choking and full restraint because they are worried about consent & safety....well there you go, the poor hotel maid never consented to cleaning your piss out of a carpet now did they?)

Yeah...and anyone else notice that MV has like, SO MANY incest videos? This is my first clipsite so maybe that's the norm? But like..there are so many...
