Hello,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to bring up a small concern regarding how suspension end dates are displayed and applied on the platform.

When an account is blocked “until” a specific date, it’s generally understood that access should be restored at the beginning of that date. However, I’ve noticed that the suspension sometimes continues throughout the listed date and only lifts the following day. This can be a bit confusing for users, especially when they are trying to plan their return or ensure compliance with the suspension terms.

I completely understand that policies and systems may have certain technical processes behind them. It would help to clarify the wording or adjust the timing so that users have a clear understanding of when their account access will be reinstated. Even a brief note or clarification in the suspension notice could go a long way in avoiding misunderstandings.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I truly appreciate the support team’s efforts and all the work that goes into maintaining a fair and consistent experience for everyone.

So what happened?

You were suspended until, say, 5th October and only regained access on the 6th?
its a general message. The message when suspended says "blocked until x date". They don't restore access to the account until the following day after x date.

Just feel lucky that they restored your access in the first place.

What did you do to incur a suspension?
Not the point of the post. Just trying to bring up an issue that could probably reduce the amount of unnecessary emails to the support staff. As we all know, getting through to support can be challenging at times. If a person's account is suspended and they are expecting access to said account on a certain date. When they don't have access, the first thing they try to do is get in contact with support.

If you must know, I accidentally fell asleep on cam. I was suspended once before, and I reviewed my emails from the previous suspension, finding that the verbiage for the suspension was incorrect as well. "Blocked until Oct 6th," but I will not get access to the account until Oct 7th. The Message should read "Blocked until Oct 7th."

That’s valid, but it’s a still a grey area with SC operating with models and users all over the world. I’m guessing they work with UTC?

If you were given a seven day suspension, that’s seven full days, right?

Correct, they work with UTC. The Suspension length is not what I'm discussing. They state "Blocked until Oct 6th". Wouldn't you agree that, according to that verbiage, I should have access to my account at some point today?

It’s their platform… It’s still the 6th of October by my watch 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hello @JamesLeanDean

I actually just replied to your email on this topic :)

But to clarify here if anyone is wondering, yes we work on UTC time if we ever list times - then it is up to each model to translate the UTC time to their local time zone.

And your suspension would be until the exact time So in your case, you received the 3 day suspension on October 3 at 16:44, so the suspension was lifted on October 6 at 16:44 UTC.
